    Working with a client who is struggling with routing MIDI tracks from one track to another. Such as when you have a VST playing an arp and you want to capture the MIDI data (not the audio) of the arp AFTER the MIDI notes go through the VST. This is easy peasy in Ableton, but I ma finding it very difficult to locate this option in Reaper. Do you have a video on this topic?

    Ohk... Just wanted to know can also do this for indiviual tracks of drum midi.
    Just like we get seperate stems for kick,snare or hi- hat?
    I would want individual midi tracks?
    Can we get seperately or do i have to copy each midi file (from the midi editor) into a audio file?

    Hey just came across this channel. Very good! One thing I'm struggling with is exporting the midi track so that it exports into Guitar Pro 7 as a single track. At the moment my 1 midi track from reaper is splitting into 3 drum tracks. Can't work out why! Help :-)

    Can you take this and the media explorer and make your own midi drum groove library?

    I am having issues exporting the time markers and importing them into a new project, maybe you can do some explanation here. If i consolidate all my stems and but them into a fresh projects, then import the midi and choose map timemap, the midi becomes asynchronous at some point...

    When I export MIDI files from hydrogen (drum computer) my MIDI players recognize the files as drum tracks and use the midi drum fonts they have. When I export MIDI from reaper they only recognize the notes and use piano as an instrument. Is there any way to export MIDI drum tracks and have players recognize them as MIDI drums?

    Well, whenever I export my MIDI file, only the drums track is saved.

    Wish I could in Reaper preferences specify default MIDI instrument for MIDI files, so I could open MIDI files by double-clicking them in Windows Explorer and play them immediately. That way, you could also be able to preview MIDI files in Reaper Explorer even if your project doesn't contain any MIDI track yet, so no MIDI output is defined yet (another reason for default MIDI output defined in Preferences)

      +ReaperTV Nice. I subscribed, gonna be going through all your tutorials. got tired of looking for a reliable drummer, so I decided to put together a lil home studio and do all the music myself for now. I've got a lot to learn!

    Here is what I am struggling with, and I wonder if you have made a video on this: I have eight separate midi parts recorded in Omnisphere. These 8 tracks output to the main Omnisphere track, they do not output to their own individual tracks for some reason I cannot fathom. And, thusly, when I try to render them in Reaper, they all play to one track and indeed when the .WAV file is created, it is just one stem for the whole VST and not for each of the eight parts. I've tried all six options in Render/Freeze options and I'm stuck. Proper stuck. If I was drowning in a pit of violently strong quicksand I'd be less stuck than I am now. Really stuck. I'll have a quick poke around your playlists and see what there is...x

    After consolidating, all track volumes went to 0 db, so the file I want to send to a mixing engineer has all levels at 0 db. But the mixer guy wants me to send with the levels at around -6 db. Is it possible to change volume levels before sending? Thank you.

    hey, why i always hear the buzzy and distorted sound ? i use usb midi ccable directly from my peavey vypyr amp

    • @ReapertvUk
      @ReapertvUk  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Kukuh Prayuda You may need to deal with the output level being too high and that is clipping (distorting) your signal. If there is a way to control the output level of your amp line out then you will need to adjust that before going in to your DAW.
