Restraint is lacking in so much of popular music today. If you can find a moment of space in a modern popular composition it is worth an announcement! This piece is simply gentle, it breathes, and it’s gorgeous. 🙏💜🇺🇸
Hey Tim:) I love your content to death, I’ve learned so much from you. I’d love to see more Mike dawes content as well! He’s one of my favorite guitarists along with Tommy Emmanuel:)
Hi Raphael, this is the cover video. You can find the tabs on the lesson video on this channel. Or you can check out the full tutorial on www.patreon.com/timvanroy. Good luck!
Beautifully played! ❤ I see you still go for your trusted Mayson every now and then which is great, do you feel at home on it or what makes you choose martin or mayson for a particular song? And I also wondered if you would recommend a Mayson M10/s (laminated Cocobolo back and sides if I could get it for around 400€)? Or is all solid the way to go on a Mayson? And I also heard you mention in your live stream, you try to avoid guitars with a cut - for sound reasons? Cheers :)
Hi Simon! Whenever possible, always go for solid woods when it is within your budget. Mayson Guitars are excellent when it comes to price/quality ratio, and often their €400 sound a lot more expensive than their price would suggest. My method is simple: if I need a bit more bass I will go for the Martins (especially for lower tunings), and for faster songs (or tunes with more strumming) the bright sound of the maple MS7 works wonders. It's a testament to Mayson that a €1200 guitar holds its own agains a €5000 Martin!
I think it's better to shoot two seperate videos with you playing with this camera on your fretboard and without it and then put them together on montage And by the way the song is great!
I think to call this “beginner/intermediate” is a wild thing to say. Intermediate yes, beginner? C’mon, your perception of a what a beginner is is totally off… hahahahah
Point taken! The lesson is aimed at beginner fingerstyle players, which is something completely different than a beginner guitar player (meaning you already have to have a lot of stuff down just to start in that style).

Music happens in the space between the notes

When is this lesson coming to TH-cam??
As soon as I get my website online, which should be by the end of next week!
Is this up yet on patreon?
Hi Mike, yes this song is up on Patreon since a few days. Hope you enjoy it!
What are those red things?
Seems to be just a holder for the phone so he can record his right picking hand close up.

I completely agree! ;-) The Magnet is brand new, just messing around a bit and trying some new stuff.

@@TimVanRoy Okay yes, that I agree with! Thanks for the clarity!
