    Here is a link to the Kangaroo Stew where I bought it and got it running.

    That's some bloody good camera skill there, being upside down and underneath!

    Thank you for these videos they are extremely entertaining and informative.
    Could you address sometime when you would try an in-frame vs a major rebuild?

    Always tighten a micrometer with the ratchet. Avoids error. Pressure of your thumb and finger varies. The ratchet eliminates that giving repeatability

      possibly but we are probably not working in 10ths in an old engine.

    Lance, just wondering do the main bearings wear out equally as much as the big ends? someone told me they last a lot longer because they just sit there and aren't under the stress like the big ends

      Yes the big ends wear quicker as they take the pounding from the firing in the cylinder and are often a smaller diameter.

    Hi Lance, what did you mean at 17:26 when said you thought the old girl had been "dusted"?
    End float is something I didn't check when I did mine, as I had a cracked block and other problems to deal with, but what are the consequences of running with excessive end float; what's the first thing that will break?

      Dusted over here means iit has had a lot of dust go into the inlet of the engine and worn the engine out .

    Hello Lance, What is you're opinion of a Ferguson TED20 with a repaired horizontal crack in the side of the engine. It was repaired at some time and works fine but I'm in two minds whether to give it an overhall and renew all the parts required.

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A repair is fine, there is not a lot of pressure there and I presume it would be a freeze crack. A well repaired crack is not a problem usually.

      Thank you Lance. That news has cheered me up, I guess it was a freeze crack here in the U.K.

    At 17.28 I couldn't hear what you said, dusted was that?

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes dusted is run without an air cleaner and the engine is ruined from dust.
