Idea for your Control Board now that the checklist is complete: Put up the Emergency Procedures, in order, in case something goes wrong in the Nuke Plant. As a Navy retiree, believe me, it's always good to have a checklist!!!
I so want to see Kibitz make a highway system complete with signs and road patterns. Especially since it can be hard to keep track of where your factories are located and how to get to them safely and easily in the late game.
@@lechking941 For one thing, even with having natural roads in the game, it can still be a bit treacherous to travel by wheeled vehicles because of how uneven the terrain is. Some routes are inaccessible due to gas plants. Players could bypass these obstacles entirely by building their own roads that make a direct path to their buildings.
I just picked up satisfactory and immediately gained huge respect for all the time and effort kibbz puts into this game. Especially on such a large scale, because building, balancing and bug fixing takes allot of time. I'm also totally addicted to this game😂 ✌️Thanks Kibbz!
Can you do a walkthrough of how you handle inter factory logistics. Everything you build is so neat and tidy, how do you get everything to, say, your central storage without it being a mess. Or is it a mess :)
Kibz, for that new factory, I think the red part could be really defined if you tried adding BEAMS on the outside vertical and slanted edges (like corners) then you can colour them either black (might be too much tho) or grey like concrete-ish. Hope you can see this and try it out
I don't know if you know this already, please ignore me if you do, but you can select the materials you want to build beforehand so you don't need to go back over everything with the customizer. There are filters in build menu that are set to fixit by default. But if that gets overwhelming then you can also hot key materials and colours. It could save you some time in big builds. Great video as always and I'm looking forward to seeing it completed, I loved xclipses train station
the easiest circle in U5 is probably building it using beams and encasing those in pillars. you can build interesting statues and decorations using this too. (using only the beam connectors works fine too)
"I think this shape was inspired by a bike frame." Take a step back to look at just the general overall shape and put your hand out to cover the round part and you'll see... An enormous, incomplete Sommers Loop.
If you make the silo out of concrete, you can hide the blenders inside, and have pipes going into/out of the silo... Also, the constant nuclear issues is hilarious... It's almost like you need a minion to just hunt down bugs in the power plant, lmao
There's a MUCH easier way to make circles... You just fill out as much as you can with regular block foundations, like a + with the corners almost filled, then just do the edges. Much faster, there's no point making the center "circular" radiating out, as you'll just fill that with square grid buildings anyway, u just need the exterior to be circular.
@@tmanook what I'm saying is that unlike squares, where you can create a bigger square from smaller ones, you can't really create a bigger circle from smaller circles. I really struggle to see how would they implement it (unless they allow you to input the radius manually).
@@Louis13XIII Have to agree that it would be difficult to implement. One of the mods does have rounded parts, but the snapping and fitting of stuff is a bit wonky.
The crazy thing about Satisfactory being a great game already, building circles in it is actually science. Computer science. This kind of showing round objects is called interpolation. Even though we have pretty good graphics cards nowadays, calculating or showing a perfect circle is almost impossible (basically impossible), because Pi (3,14159....) is a never ending number. Algorithms are used to show and even out the edges in CAD programmes and games. Far away, round ojects usually look very clunky, the closer you get with the camera, the smoother it becomes. But what happens in the background is basically showing a round object with a finite number of edges; like 6 very far away, 12 drawing closer, to maybe 512 or 2048 up close. This is still by far not perfectly round but together with anti aliasing and other tricks, it kinda looks great. Back to the game, it directly makes it tangible to capture the amount of calculation power needed for round objects to simulate. For the size of the silo ImKibitz is building, he uses an extraordinary large amount of tiles to make it look smooth. Given you have a weaker graphics card, this would unnecessarily draw more calculation power for the same amount of space or room than with a default looking, edgy object. This game is great!
Super awesome that you got the circle to work. After seeing your build I realize that I'm worried about nothing when it comes to how much I can build before Satisfactory gets mad.
If you leave all the overlapping floor tiles in it wil be a nightmare yeah, but if you just leave the outside walls and make the floors out of non overlapping foundations I think it should be fine.
The one thing I dislike about design in satisfactory is that there I no such thing as a 'small' build. In order to get those cool designs you need to build really, really big. I kinda wish there where half length walls. That would make it a lot more manageable for use 'mid game plebs'
i refused to do the circular buildings until now your idea hiding a ton of fluid storage inside of it made me commit the ultimate sin i had to pause you vid to build my first silo and im loving it!!!
Kibitz amazing build!! If your doing circles you should challenge yourself and build 2 massive stacks over all the nuclear power plants!! Make it loo like one massive power plants rather then multiples!
My factory’s power grid completely shut down and I had no idea why. There was an excess of fuel ready to go, everything was wired up, nothing appeared to be wrong. Then I checked the conveyor belts. Right at the end of each of 25 conveyor belts just barely in the mouth of the generators, was caterium. There was exactly 25, no more, no less. Just enough to completely stop energy production. As it turns out, I had one of my storage crates right next to one of my fuel storage crates, and I must have tossed the caterium in there by accident (I am very disorganized, but it’s organized chaos so it works). I am now in full belief that caterium is the sole reason that things go wrong in Satisfactory, and nothing can convince me otherwise.
It was a pain before U5. You had to drop a spool. Put a foundation on it then do much the same, but never mess up because trying to get back from a mess up was hard.

i find 12 foundations out the foundations just meet.
