- The Dart Rover is marketed as an official elite dart sweeper. Not bad for Rival rounds too. Unfortunately it requires ground that is near perfect and even then does not always function properly.

I did try it indoors. It's comparable to the flat outdoor surface I test and, as I mention, it's not completely terrible on an ideal surface. But it still ripped at dart foam and heads. And yes, obviously it works better when you don't fly over ammo but even my rolling wasn't that fast. How can I recommend someone buy this when it isn't reliable at a normal speed?
Beret indoor does really work any better tbh
...so far, our tried-and-true has been sweeping them with a small broom into a corner, and then "sorting" them with an electric leaf-blower, which flings the broken darts further from the pile of good darts.

I am a Nerf fan and picking the darts up by hand is sometimes tiring (especially at Nerf war birthday parties) so I hope they make a improved version that has a better chance of picking them up in one piece.

Seems like another one of those products that's actually made by a third party and then Hasbro just let them slap the Nerf logo on.

Just hilarious, that intro was great! The Rover... Not as much, but being a TH-camr pertaining to foam stuff myself, I'll give it a go for content reasons. More to warn others to stay away most likely.

We face the same challenges, and use some of the same tools, when trying to retrieve brass from shooting competitions. Surface makes a big difference on what will work. But, sometimes the best method is just to bend down and hand pick. I don’t think the Dart Rover will help with Brass anymore than it would will with Darts 😉 Thanks for the review Beret. - Jed 🤠
I think we need a pickup tool that uses _brushes_ instead of hart plastic teeth, and has larger diameter wheels.

All jokes aside, I really think that a more efficient version of this device can be made for maybe an additional 10-20 dollars. The idea has so much potential , but it has a very flawed execution. Maybe a larger handle, a closed basket, and a more reliable extraction mechanism would make this product more...useable. Also you have to take into account this cost them like $2 to make.

1 dollar is just right if you take into account the premium quality injection molded plastic wheels. Rubber would have been too nice for $25 of our hard earned money.

Put a blanket down before u dump legos on the ground. When your mom makes u put them away , pull the corners of the blanket up and around your legos then put the blanket in a bin or wherever with the legos still inside.... 7 second cleanup

Thank you for testing this! My wife and I were also in Target today checking out the New Stuff, (We run a small Nerf Arena in Salem), and I was thinking this thing was too good to be true.... Oh well. Also a heads-up- Target is selling out of the Blue Version of the Adventure Force Light Command for only $10 ! If you find one, nab it!
I think I might do some more testing with this for curiousity's sake. This definitely could be better for an indoor arena compared to an outdoor field but better doesn't mean it'll be 100% reliable/functional.

It was not successful.
It might work better if it used stiff bristles instead of plastic tines.
I'd say, a portable vacuum might be the better solution, or just let everybody pick them all up.

Have you considered making a collector out of the vacuum end of a leaf blower? Perhaps a tuned cyclone separator as to prevent it from turning the darts into mulch while still removing most other small debris from the darts?

I always wonder how a pooper scooper would word? They normally have two sets of "jaws" that fully inclose on both sides
the type will probably crush the dart, but the rake and dustpan on a stick style might work.
how much do you guys play before picking up the darts? do they really end up that clustered? you should try 2 or 3 darts, bothering to line it up slightly. this does not need to be perfect. just better than walking 3 ft, bending to pick up 2 or 3 darts, then walking 4 ft and bending over to pick up another 1. the claw might not be faster for a cluster, but when there is only one within reach, you can grab it without stopping to bend over.

It's not ment for big huge clumps and the wheels were on the darts so it caused to rip them and it's for like 2 at a time and go slower

out of all the things that nerf makes tha isn't a nerf gun, this is actually a pretty good idea
Hey, I have this at my workplace (it's an indoor Nerf arena). The managers wanted to try it out, and it works indoors -EVA foam flooring. However, it still halts whenever you attempt to pick up even one dart. If you roll it slow enough, it won't spew out the darts/balls on the other side. I have a feeling that it damages darts though since it doesn't feel smooth when collecting.
Yup even when it manages to pick up darts it might damage them in the process. And being forced to dart sweep slowly makes the process more tedious and frustrating.
