As a Canadian I can honestly say Scotland really is amazing. 5 years ago my family took a trip from Glasgow to Inverness through Loch Ness. Then we went back south to Edinburgh. Best 2 weeks of my life, no joke.

I'd rather watch you guys enjoy the experience of food from around the world than some TV celebrity chef. youtube food connoisseurs are so 21st century. Too many times we hear of the bad things that happen in the world regarding the human race on TV. It's nice to see youtubers fly the flag for the good things that happen in the world in human terms. I totally agree. This approach is much more interesting. Too many celebs making tired and tedious travel programmes on TV. They should learn that many of us are bored of this celeb culture. Most of them are so rich and live on their bubble, when you see them on travel shows, you just don't trust the show at all. Sick of them to be honest. I have no idea however, how these guys fund all these trips. I understand their equipment etc... Is sponsored, but otherwise must cost so much. The food alone costs loads. I hope their not just spoilt rich kids. I don't think they are, they seem quite genuine.

I'm really sorry you guys lost another Go-Pro. I think you really should get those "tile" things that you hook or glue onto your important possessions and when you get a certain distance from the "tiled" item it makes your cell phone sound an alert. It gives you a fighting chance to get your stuff back before you get too far away to retrieve them.
It's so surreal watching you just down the road from where I grew up! I hope you're having a wonderful time! (Still recommend pilgrim gin, which is from St Andrews!)

History of the tower -
Lady’s Tower at Elie Ness was designed and built around 1760 for Lady Janet Anstruther who used it for changing before going for her daily swim. A bell was rung to warn the locals to stay away while she bathed.

St Monans is a lovely little fishing village. We stayed there for a week in autumn 2001 and it was wonderful.
Scottish Gin accounts for 70% of the uks full Gin output. Be sure to try some other varieties with different botanicals before you leave. That Cullen Skink looks amazing.

Well big names don't mean much as you probably know. As far as 'London' Dry Gin goes, for example Gordons, is made is Scotland. Big in the 70s and the cheapest you can get now. But I'm on about 2018 and what's happening now. So here is a good link if you're interested >

I am from Fife, born in St. Andrews, but you are on the wrong coast of Scotland for the best seafood. Try Oban on the west coast next time.

The most famous food in Eastern Scotland is the Arbroath Smokie, a smoked haddock or cod. You should defo try it!
Our favorite on our road trip way way back was Dover Sole. Baked or broiled .... yummy 😋

I like lobster thermidor, and that lobster dish you had reminded me of it (and made me hungry). We know Eric doesn't have a very good record with water sports (a damaged tailbone proves that), it was good to see he's ok :D

That was a tiny lobster and yes,you should,have ordered the whole so each can have half as its mostly shell. But some places can order by size (lb) of lobster also and that would as taste different sometimes when bigger. Lobster roll, lobster salad, lobster boil, lobster only, lobster bisque, lobster mac and cheese. Yummy! Get as much as you can for as cheap as you can. Boston easy to get lobster stuff since its plenty
Bookatable and Open table UK were life savers in Scotland. In the bigger cities we would book for dinner in the morning when we got up haha. I want lobster so bad now.
St Andrews is just a wonderful place (it’s my Mecca) as I’m a golfer you just expected the town to be more tacky because of its name but it isn’t

I was fishing off the rocks behind that lighthouse just last week.
Handy place to eat, I guess if you had a line you could chuck it over the side and see if you could hook another lobster (although I think they catch them in pots), you might get a nice plaice or sea bass though.

You ate Lobster that my Fishing friend Gregor lands just up the road in Anstruther from his Boat. He's a good guy and lives in St Monan's too. Most likely it was his Lobster you ate, i also help land for him at times.

I come back to this over and over again. We actually watched this before going to Scotland in September of 2019. The good ol' days. I re-watched this last night and realized that we stayed at the house you walk by that has a green door (in St. Monan's). I day dream about that cottage all the time. And heck yes to Cullen Skink! I tried to order it wherever we were. Unfortunately, that amazing place was closed when we went. We LOVE food so we were so sad but we'll just have to go back someday. We did come upon The Dreel Tavern though and that place was INSANELY good. It might have opened after you filmed. Anywho, we watch your videos every week. Can't wait until you can travel again so we can live vicariously through you when we are not. Thanks for doing what you do. Oo Oo I went to St Andrews a few years ago for a day trip when I was at conference in Edinburgh. It was a tough-ish kind of a drive there, but what a place!
Gin was THE drink of 2017. No longer is it a drink that only grandma's have.
Love your vlogs.Have you noticed the difference of Brits. use of knives and forks compared to Americans? We cut up the food as we eat.You guys seem to cut it all up in one go then just use the fork.Also how much did the lobster meal cost? It is usually ridiculously expensive.Happy travels.
