Tarikh Episode 661
In this episode Nikhil talks about Mahmud of Ghazni. He was the first Sultan of the Ghaznavid Empire. He succeeded his father's throne after defeating his brother Ismail in a war. Under his reign Ghaznavid kingdom expanded through numerous military campaigns.He annexed several regions of indian subcontinent including multan, lahore, Kannauj, Gujarat, Rajasthan.He also campaigned against Persia. During his annexation he demolished several temples in India. He has been topic of debate especially for his plunder of Somnath temple of gujrat.According to few scholars he looted the temple in year 1025 but many claims about is multiple attempts to loot its wealth as well.Here we have tried to reveal a few other facts associated with his life, death and even about the events after that.

There is no evidence (contemporary) that Mahmud Ghazni destroyed Mathura Temple (even Tarikh-i-Firista written 400 years after - mention that Gaznavi was so amazed by Temple architecture that he didn't destroy it) and further he never invaded Somnath to destroy any Temple. Provide references.
(Utbi Tarikh-i-yamini mention Ghazni invaded ‘Fortress of Kaljand’ and looted 5 idols of gold, 1 solid sapphire statue, many items of silver from a Temple. Thats it. Again, Ghazni didn't destroy that temple either. Lallantop is also exaggerating like IT cell)
