So interesting
This is my first time on your page. I really learnt a lot. Can you make a video for residential building of a room and palour self contain of 5 unit please?
Good morning!!! Stumbled upon your Chanel today the 1st of February and I am really impressed. I and my wife are making plans to start our building and your channel is exactly what we both need to sit and watch.
Oh great, glad you liked the video. And all the very best to you and your wife on your project.
Good presentation dear engineer
Thank you
Nice job 👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Thank you very much for this elaborate information. Please we need a video on the cost of an engineer.
Glad you found the video informative. I'm not sure I understand the question
Amazing amazing work! With the high cost of living and inflation currently. I would appreciate it if an updated video could be done. I'm assuming it'd be double what was used last year to this year
Yes, I assume so, too. The idea behind the videos is to use actual projects and real values. Presently, I don't have a bungalow construction at hand. There's a duplex ongoing now. Hopefully, when the project has advanced, I'll make a video from it. Thanks for watching!
I have been waiting for this video...thank you so much for this information. .Great video.
I love your videos.
Thanks 👍
Please can you make a video on the cost of constructing a 4 bedroom bungalow from start to finish currently?
Wonderful job and stage by stage description. Please what year was this job done?
From early 2022 to March 2023
This is so awesome. Thank you for that breakdown. The only question I have is that I did not hear anything about labor cost. Does every stage includes labor cost? Please clarify. Thanks again
Thanks and glad you enjoyed the video. And yes, the amounts were both for material and labour.
@civilworks826 does this include cost of erecting the fence round the property and the fence within the 4650 blocks?
The N16.3m includes the cost of the fence around the property but the 4650 blocks is for the main building alone
Always 💯🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Thanks, Doreen! 😊
Nice video as always.
I'm a software engineer and I've always been fascinated by the real estate industry, where can I start if I want to get into house building and construction?
Thank you.
Thanks for the compliments, Leke. You're obviously looking at being involved at the management level of building construction, I reckon? You'll need to see construction first hand to get a feel of it and it's always advisable to link up with an real estate development firm. You could start marketing their services while understudying their subcontractors doing the actual construction, then take it from there. Ask around in your city and I'm sure something will come your way. All the best!
You can also consider registering for a Project Management course/training. This gives you a foot in the door as far as construction industry is concerned 👍
@@civilworks826 Thank you for your reply.
I will try to look around for a construction firm here in my state. In regards to the Project Mgt. I have a project management certification, I don't know if that count or if I will need to take another one in construction.
@@civilworks826 I want to build a similar bungalow at Mowe, can I engage you?
Yes, you can. Just that I'm based in Abuja. However, I can put together a team to handle the project, if the terms are agreed to
I believe the price varies due to cities, this costs are forPH, maybe lower in Niger state or in Abuja. Am I right?
Yes, at the time of construction, especially labour costs
Nice video please try and reduce the music
Thanks. Sorry about the music, I'll tone it down next time
Around last 2 years. The same building can be achieved with 12m Naira plus extra security house gate. Materials are getting expensive.
A bag of cement cost 4700Naira.
I built 6 duplex 65 million Naira still not finish it yet. Your video is not bad. Bungalow house is more simple to build.
Quite right. The rate at which prices go up, in 2 years time, you will need up to N20m to build a decent 3 bedroom bungalow.
You no longer post sir you have amazing contents hope to see new videos soon
Yes, it's been a hectic period as I try to combine work with posting content. Anyway, thanks for reaching out. I will be resuming regular posting soon. 👍
@@civilworks826 sending love ❤️ and light 💡
How much ll a bungalow i.e 5 bedrooms apartments cost in Asaba,Delta State
Hard to put an actual figure since there's no drawing to quantify from. My estimate will be N35m - N40m
Nice video.....please are the cost from this year or last year?
Mostly last year up till January this year
@@civilworks826 okay. Currently doing a similar project and the price quotation the engineer has been giving me has been scarily outrageous.
@@The_Adeyemi Prices can vary depending on factors location, terrain etc. If you consider the naira-dollar thing, increased fuel price, etc, it can become scary. However, it must still be realistic and verifiable
Not to mention the type of design; especially elaborate roofs, this can also influence the cost
Bottom line, get a Quantity Surveyor to look at the drawings to confirm (or allay) your fears
Please what will it cost to complete one unit of one bedroom and two units of self contained apartment
It really depends on a lot of factors and it's only when one sees the drawings that the cost can be narrowed down. However, a unit of one bedroom can be between N10 - 12m. 2 units of self contained (just a room with toilet/bathroom attached) about N5 - 6m. To be more accurate, send your drawings to a QS. Cheers!
Thanks for your video, what does it cost now to plaster a 3 bedrooms bungalow i.e cement and workmanship?
Glad you liked the video.
The cost of plastering would depend on how large the building is ie the rooms, the height etc. Also depends on the cost of materials where the building is sited.
However as an estimate: 1. cement ( about 100 - 120 bags.
2. Plaster sand (2 trucks of 10m3 or 15 tons each)
3. Labour ( 400 - 500k).
So, the figure ( an estimate only!) would be N1m - N1.2m
Is it inclusive of labour cost?
Yes, inclusive of labour cost
Nice video, I am planning to build a 4 bedroom bungalow by this year September from start to finish like how much I we looking at?
Where is the site located? Have you prepared the drawings/building plans?
Does it include labour?
Yes
180sqm that's how many plot of land
That's less than half plot. A plot is 15 x 30m ie 450 sqm
Why do we need peoplebfrom Togo or Benin to do certain works. Can't Nigerians do it?
Of course, Nigerians can and actually do these jobs like block laying, tile laying, plastering etc. However, these neighbouring countries have a particularly high sense of craftsmanship and tend to do a very good job at it. They have an 'edge' when it comes to finishing works. Just the same way Italians are excellent builders, or German products tend to last long, etc
Thank you for the reply
You're welcome!
Plz are u in port Harcourt.... how can I get ur contact?
No, I'm presently in Abuja. You can reach me on +234 813 7870 705. Call/WhatsApp. Thanks
@civilworks, I love your videos is so detailed.
But I believe the price of this same building in Abuja will be different?
Yes. The main reason is the increase in the cost of materials, labour and in fact, everything. This bungalow will be in the N30m range
Waste of time. Useless stories without financials. You do not build houses with stories. Show the financials
Waste of time?? Sorry you think so. A lot of viewers think otherwise, though. The house was not built with stories but with money. You want to see the BOQ? Or what financials exactly?
😂 Tinubu regime don take this one brain 🧠 away.
