JDAM ripple? Oh hell yeah man.. I've been waiting for a module besides the harrier to have it and the mudhen makes sense to be the one to have it. Thanks Notso for your DCS stuff and for your service.
theres an arcadey flight sim called VTOL VR that has it and probably the most fun thing is carrying 12 jdams and low level loft attack on an airfield and destroying 12 targets in one run in.
Hey @Notso, thank you for the tutorials and the added perspectives! I am asking myself what center flight stick would fit the f15/e best? How does the flight stick feel irl? How does it compare to the F-18C? I only have some F-4F simulator time and that stick was super stiff.
Of course, I'm hoping we can set a string of mark points and select them to be loaded to the jdams, rather than bouncing back and forth from the HC to the PB.
Was the TPOD pulling HAT from the AGR here? I read that it's supposed to do that, but is not yet implemented in the sim. Also, are you able to use the A2A rails with GBU31/38 on stations 2 and 8? Or is there a collision risk like with GBU-10/12/24/15/AGM-130?
I don't see why it couldn't get it from radar, the plane knows its own altitude and the angle and range from it to the target, that's more than enough to triangulate an altitude from. Of course the plane could have another, smarter way to achieve this, but im certain it could be done that simply.
@@auqanova We're talking about a stored/frozen radar patch map which he used to desigbate different target positions. That's one something entirely different than air-ground radar ranging to a specific point on the ground.
It can get it form the radar picture, when you make the patch it stores ALL of the information for that patch including the ground elevation based on the data it had when the patch was made. All the patch 'store' is doing it just not releasing the information unless you tell it to. All the information exists and is stored for all elevations across the patch that are not in shadow. You have to remember that for the radar to even be able to draw the picture it is doing A2G Ranging already, that's inherently how Air to Ground Radar works, but rather than doing a single point its doing thousands. (depending on the resolution of the radar) for DBS to work eg for it to even be able to build the patch it HAS to know the Ranging, else you can not mathematically build a DBS image.
Should be able to test the current implementation. Set your selected TP elev way off and designate from the patch and see where the tpod points, if it pulls the correct elev from the map or the incorrect from the TP.
What are the commands to get the extra zoom level in Freeze mode after already zooming into 0.67nm? Your voice wasn't too loud/clear and the subtitles didn't help. Thanks
man i can't wait until the Streagle gets JDAM's and Data Link. I have tons of time in the Hornet and love the versatility of it, but man the Radar, payload capacity, and the fuel capacity in the Streagle are very hard to beat
I wish I could fly these birds for my country Ukraine. 💙 Soon we will receive help from the civilized world. Thank you to the smart nations. One day, we will join the club, after we will get rid of the orcs.
If you wanna watch the bombs drop and not have to worry about flying there's a key you can press for "Active pause" Which freezes your aircraft in the air but the game will continue as normal. It's Lshift + Lwindows + pause by default I believe. Thanks for the preview! :)
Notso sounds just as excited as the rest of us are with this module, always awesome to see more cool features being worked on.

The A10 has it and it's like shown here

@@_cyantist VTOL VR is stupid fun.. has no right being so good 😂 big DCS player but dam vtolvr really hits the spot , very cheap game and dlc
The f-18 has it, you can ripple out all 8 in one pass if you wanted
Yes! This is working exactly like i hope. This is where this jet is going to come alive for me. Very awesome!
keep it coming - enjoying this module very much.... :) thanks for all the efforts
Amazing!! So good to target JDAM's with radar
Next wish video - JDAM Loft! Thanks this is a bit earlier than I had hoped for jdam stuff
Awesome, can't wait to learn this!
Huge JDAM love here!!
Hopefully the de sync from WSO to Pilot will be resolved at some point.
Hey , Don't have the 15E yet but that Tutorial is a Head Start for me, for sure! Ty very much, gonna save that for sure. Ty very much
Looking great! But Notso, I missed the Hi Strike Eagle Fans! Great video
Love your videos! Always learn something. 😊
Nice work i can't wait
Imagine what this module can be a year from now
Nice, can’t wait.

Love it Notso! Can TPOD also be used to transfer coords to JDAMs?
Of course, I'm hoping we can set a string of mark points and select them to be loaded to the jdams, rather than bouncing back and forth from the HC to the PB.
Designations can be transferred via Radar, Tgt Pod, or HUD to weapons.

Shit hot is right! Can't wait for these,
quick question when is roughly a teaser no longer going to be a teaser ? but otherwise love seeing the work being done looks awesome!
RIP Creech

Yeah, this is very cool.
Good stuff!
Great video but the offset boxes in PACS drive me nuts
TGP looks better and more stable! Great seeing how you operate the systems
here's hoping that's for the next update
It's not. RazBam is aiming for November with JDAMs.
Where does the system get the target elevation from? It can't get it from a radar picture, can it?

Go to WSO seat and pull the first stage of trigger and press TDC in simultaneously (Trigger HA and TDC Switch PRESS)

are we going to get the GBU 31(3/4v) Bunker Buster?
Why would you use that, when we are getting the gbu28 at some point 😉
Awesome
oooh looks fun!!!
Next year?
From what I heard, it was in November
Sick!!
Nice ! (and thanks for the 2D instead of VR)

Notso Bright? Lol! You Geek!
Maybe I'll actually be able to drop a guided bomb finally... Still waiting..
and so you can wait a little more

Yea man he uses active pause in the video lol
Nice video. As a suggestion, a bit less game sounds next time. The engine muffles your speech a bit
imboutablow when jdams drop
Is that litening symbology i see 👀
Nope that’s still LANTIRN pod.
