We unbox and test the King Song S20 (now referred to as the S22) and share some fixes needed to make the King Song S20 the Best Suspension EUC. The King Song S20 Eagle EUC is the most anticipated electric unicycle of 2022. The King Song S20 improves upon the previous King Song S18 in every way.
In the past, when you chose a suspension wheel, you settled for less power. With the S20, you get incredible suspension and 126 volts of power to make most EUC enthusiasts happy.
When Andrew and I dropped our first curbs and stairs with the S20, we knew this wheel was special. But like all new release EUCs, there is room for improvement.
In this video, we unbox, setup, and put the S20 through its paces. Watch our full range test here: • The King Song S20/S22 ...
Special thanks to @RevRides360 for lending us this EUC to test.
Thanks to @FlyboyEUC for allowing me to use some ride footage. Check out his wet and wild S20 video!

I gotta see that.. how do you do a wheelie with one wheel bro? Also this king song s20 looks awesome
That look like an Iron Mans boot
What is the price???$$$
@@piratedust5761 price is always changing. Check link in description for current price!
String magnets would be an excellent way to hold the seat down and easy to pop off when wanted. But im sure the best way to do that is have kingdong intergrate the magnets into the seat for better placement and hold everytime. I would hate to super glue magnets to the bottom.
I am getting an electric uni soon and kingsong s20 is the strongest comtender for me right now.
It's a positive to see that companies are actually listening to people and fixing them before releasing them fully to market. When you are spending thousands of dollars on EUC's and scooters, they should be taking all possible feedback before releasing. This is even more surprising coming from Chinese manufacturers. But it's smart that they care about their reputation because it means more sales in the long term and there's been a long standing stigma of Chinese manufacturing being low quality. So props to them for putting in the effort to improve.
I call that integrity... it is awesome to see indeed! As someone in the tech industry I've noted that its a sad rarity these days. It is however comfortingly logical that companies will slowly learn from the likes of King song, and that the aforementioned integrity alone just sold them 2 more units!
I agree,
That's what companies should do if they are smart.
Man, you guys sold me on this one and I'm pushing 60 years old, I'm REALLY going to have to have something to save my knees. Thank you both...
You shared a lot of a great details that really matter that I have not seen in other reviews. Thank you!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching! Learning more about this wheel every day!
Great review! The suspension is amazing !! good to see the EUC niche evolve to a more stylish theme, they really set a new standard
What is EUC ??
@@pablowin07 Electric Unicycle
Thanks!
WOW! Thank you so much!
that was the cleanest view of the suspension at work ive seen thus far
Thanks! It was so much fun... cold... but fun!
FROM TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY !!! YOU GO GUY 1 LOVE & PEACE !!!
Finally some comparison size to the other EUC, i have been itching to know how tall and big it is compared to other big unicycles but none of the videos we had so far had made the effort until this video! thanks Jimmy for the wholesome in-depth testing.
Thanks for watching! We’re just trying to have fun and hopefully provide some value to you along the way!
Hey Jimmy! I love your content. I specially tune in on your One Wheel content and I've learned a lot from you. I purchased the GT and it's going to be my first one wheel. Your videos made it very easy for me to understand the risks and fun of riding a one wheel, and point me in the right direction to purchase protective gear. You're awesome Jimmy, thanks again!
Are you returning yours now that Jimmy decided to return his GT?
@@jessepope7726 Hi Jesse! Yeah, I canceled my order because of the ghosting issues that are being reported. Jimmy definitely helped me get to that decision, specifically the ghosting video that was uploaded. I'm grateful to him for providing good reviews, and I'm now much more informed. My worst fear is if the board ghosts, and hits a person/property/pet , I live in a family neighborhood, I can't afford to take that risk.
The sounds from @12:42 convinced me.
Gràcies!

How did you do this? 😱
@@CyberUnboxingOfficial i wanna bet position lock in video editing.
Thanks! It was a fun edit, for sure!
My second vid watching from you about the KS S22. Looking good! Seeing you sit on it while driving is making me think of mods for when my bad legs need a short break. Suspension on mid to soft sounds like my range after watching this. On to more of your vids on this! Thank you for the vid!
Great review! Thanks for the info. Loved the part showing the differences in suspension travel after adjusting it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Jimmy and Andrew! Great review, lots of info for a short ride day. Hope you still have it this weekend. Should be a beauty here in Colorado before another cold snap next week. Have a blast!
Excited to see how batch one actually preforms!
This one seems pretty much like the perfect delivery wheel lol.
Delivery in style!
I didn't even know these were a thing...
And now i NEEEEED one!
We get to test out a lot of PEVs, and the EUC is by far the best PEV out.
@@Andrew-vt4jt What's the difficulty in learning to ride one for someone who's never been on a unicycle before?
@@SteelJM1 have you skied before? Some people pick up on it fast sometimes it can take a few weeks.
@@Andrew-vt4jt Yeah I ski a lot in fact! If it's anything like that, then it shouldn't be too hard to pick up.
Jimmy,
That was a very detailed video demo. Honestly I never knew anything like that existed, liked and subscribed. Thank you for taking time to film, edit and post this video.
Thanks for the sub!
@@freshlycharged you are welcome
1. change lcd matrix to normal lcd display, like inmotion v12 have
2. get kill switch different place
3. get charging ports more accessible place
4. make front and rear bumpers more tanking
5. make suspension axles more durable with bearings
6. trolley handle could have more length
and would be good KS S-23 :)
Great review! I was hoping it would be a bit faster, but my knees are questionable from years of skating and the suspension alone makes me want to purchase this wheel.
There's still power in the tank. We just need to play around with the settings.
That thing is AWESOMELY COOL!
They are a ton of fun!
Thx Jimmy. Great review. I think you are the first to show some understanding of shock settings. Awesome! Overall, really good and meaningful content.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video Jimmy, and thanks for putting my mind at ease about the head light, kickstand, front bumper. Hope they will those issues.
Ever since the Boosted Board cameout I always wanted a electric skateboard. I never pulled the trigger, until I came across your videos. I started with the Onewheel because of you. Next on my e-rideable journey I finally pulled the trigger on a e-skateboard. I got a Evolve electric longboard, a GTR Bamboo All Terrain (for now). I never paid attention to your EUC videos because I thought I'd be happy with what I have, Guess Not! Now I'm thinking of getting a EUC. Since I will only get 1, I'll look for the best. It will be a year or two before I can get one, (this year I have a lot going out). My two choices are the Vetran Sherman, and now the King Song S20. By time I'm ready to purchase, it should have all the suggestions figured out. Thank you for getting me into E-Rideables. Living in Aurora, maybe some day I'll see you on the trail.
Great video, Jimmy! I can't wait to see this wheel in person.
Always nice to watch a Jimmy Chang video :D
Just trying to have fun and stay warm.
@Electric Dreams thanks for always showing us first looks! I hope to ride with you some day.
When I got my Ariel Rider...I got home from work and it was dark out. The box was so big and heavy and I was alone, I put the bike together just so I could put it away. It was freezing out too. But I love that thing.
An EUC is my next protect... Good luck with it!
oh i so want one of those 😍!! been riding unicycles for over 30 years and the new electrics are pretty awesome looking.
When going offroad going stiff on the suspension can give you more clearance too! Nice!
At least you have the sense to wear proper protection! Thanks for promoting that to the viewers. Other channels do not promote that at all!
Hi Jimmy , I'm a new subscriber , I'm not a unicycle Rider but I just wanted to say I like the way you speak about the unicycle and the company it's made by . You're a outstanding unicycle journalist . So keep up the good work 👍💯😎Stay true to what you love doing in life 💯👍
Great review mate - love it....Good relevant info from you as always. THx
MY favorite review so far on ths S20 💯‼️🤟
Wow, thanks!
Fantastic unboxing. I would love to see a follow up video after they have made improvements. Thanks to both of you.
Will do! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your detail and comparative review. Helps me to make a better selection. Definitely buying this. 👍🏽👍🏽
This is Why I Wait for the Later Models to Come Out! First Gen of these EUCs have these Defects!
Great video about the s20. Felt like i already rode it myself with all the extensive informations.
Thanks for riding with us!
It needs protection exo skeleton. Beautiful heel.
Nice video and guide it has helped me too much, now I know what euc buy
If you want to keep using that velcro I recommend something called "servo tape" it's a big thick clear tape that's just adhesive all the way through. Sticky both sides. Old school RC guys can mount servos servos the stuff snow or shine
cheers for the excellent info... definitely made my mind up after deliberating for way too long... S20 for a hard win!
I like that and I want one of those. Even better if it will follow you around while you stop into a place to do some shopping.
Thank you for sharing this piece of art
AWESOME review Jimmy . it’s 80F ☀️ right now. by the way i like the twinsies outfit 😬🤙
looks fake!
Damn that dog is so cuuuute! The wheel is pretty good, agree plastic looks a little cheap, but other than that worthy of checking out . Sad the assistant couldn’t accompany you on a run,🥺
Good review. Love suspensions (my older knees). Areas needing upgrading, KS listens, and for that KS is on my radar as a mfr to watch for their products.
Sweeeet! Now let's see you try to go "UP" those stairs...
I go up some stairs on the range test. There's a link to it in the pinned comment.
I have never even heard of these transports before and just stumbled across your video. You give an amazing review on a product; this would be a prime example of how TechKnowledge and human beings are evolving together to deliver a true living experience. this saves the time and money of R & D. and in turn save the Comsumer.
I've watched two other s20 reviews, this is by far my favorite. I especially like how you addressed the question of how useful the suspension was at high speeds -- you are the only reviewer I've watched who has brought that up.
Also you haven't glossed over the deficiencies of the wheel like the substandard plastic in the pre-production models, and have also addressed how King song is listening to customer feedback.
I think it really comes down to, do I get this or the Master? I was really leaning towards the Master a lot more before I saw this video. But even though I have virtually no off-road aspirations just yet, I think the s20 would swallow bigger potholes than the Master and it's less robust suspension. My guess is that the ride will feel much better with a refined and proven S20 bike suspension set up, with better travel and likely more refined adjustability. I also like the idea of increased stability with a rim that is custom designed to be wider from the outset, something the Master is unlikely to have.
I think the Master looks not only quicker off the line, but having a higher-end top speed to keep up with traffic is a good thing too. Gotway is also years ahead of King song, having made many wheels over 84 volts, whereas the s20 is King Song's 1st wheel to break the triple-digit voltage barrier. Gotway has advertised a design with a number of large beefy mosfets. Honestly between gotway, King song and Inmotion, I trust gotway a lot more with a higher voltage design. As a company they do plenty of testing before releasing a wheel, even though each of the top three manufacturers could certainly do more.
As much as I think the Master will have 1st Gen issues like any other wheel, their history with listening to customer feedback about the EX.n and making constant improvements makes me believe the Master will end up being a good option as well. Inmotion's v12, it's only wheel over 84 volts, has cut out issues that may not be resolved for months in the future. Kingsong still doesn't have a production wheel over 84v, but I trust that the s20 will eventually be a proven wheel definitely worth buying. I think too many people believe though that the overall lack of refinement in fit and finish with Gotways to date means they will somehow be safer riding wheels from the New Kids on the Block to triple-digit voltages, lol.
Honestly, now I want both the S20 and the Master. But given how dangerous I know riding over 40 miles an hour can be no matter how much gear you are wearing, I think I'm going to wait a generation or two until the bugs are worked out.
Either way it's a great time to be an EUC rider and thanks again for the review!
Great insight! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
How do you control the speed on a vehicle like this?
Wow you guys are doing the hard yards in that cold. Its been 100°F here in Western Australia for months. Thanks for your honest review. I hope kingsong fix those issues as it's $4500 here in Oz. Ride safe. 👍🇦🇺
How’s the EUC scene down there? I fair dinkum would love to visit and ride in Australia!
@@freshlycharged Hi Jimmy I can only speak for West Oz because EPVs are legal here. The eucs are becoming more popular. E scooters and E boards are very popular. We have great weather mostly all year round. You and Andrew would be very welcome here in 🇦🇺👍
What kind of plastic is the seat? If it is polypropylene, try the following: clean the surface with IPA or something like that, then use a torch/flame (shortly) on the surface until it kinda 'sweats' and superglue the telco on. It should stay in place. Superglue without the flame treatment will possible not be sufficient.Cheers, Kris
There's a hard-to-find version of Velcro that has what they call "119" adhesive. It's specifically intended to bond with low energy plastics, and it works great. I use it to mate PETG printed camera mounts to helmets for skydiving, and it does not release (Not much else sticks to PETG well). I say it's hard to find, but it's available online at a few velcro or webbing outlets. Maybe it would work for that seat design. This was a great video, btw!
That is amazing info!
I wish I could get one
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻, S20 seems to be a very interesting electric unicycle. Thanks for the video, which by the way, was just awesome. And wow, you found out so many things that were wrong with it, just out of the box. Kudos to you. The suspention of the S20 eagle is just fantastic wasn’t it? Haven’t tried it yet, but just from what I head. Too much plastic, hopefully Kingsong will take care of it thanks to you guys!
I do love the look of the S20. It would not surprise me if they came out with a stealth edition, replacing the red plastics with black. That would look really good.
🎯
Pro tip: Since you live in cold weather I highly recommend you purchase some adhesion promoter to help with your velcro issue and anything else you don't want coming off.
Thank God I will buy one for myself
Really cool looking and great video!
This makes Unicycles a lot less humiliating if you are not a Clown.
In 5 years, when people hear electric unicycle, they will think awesome fun mode of transportation.
Looks like an incredible wheel
Sand paper to rough up the bottom of the seat. Then add some super glue then the Velcro. That should hold it.
Might be a good idea to clean it and use an industrial adhesive promoter then re apply your velcro
Yeahhh awesome unboxing 🥰🥰🥰🥰 love it... great job jimmy ;-) ride hard stay save gruuuzzzz
Thanks’
FWIW:
Instead of velcro, even the industrial stuff. I would recommend
3M Dual Lock. Prior to installation soak in acetone to remove the foam VHB backing. Replace with 3M 4910 VHB Double Sided Heavy Duty Mounting Tape (a bit of an upgrade). For best adhesion treat the Dual Lock and applicable EUC mounting locations with 3M™ VHB™ Tape Universal Primer UV.
.
If you prefer using the seat, the combination should make for a very stable install (especially if you give it the full 72 hour set up time they recommend for 3M VHB products before you stress it).
best s20 video so far. watchable.
I’m glad you found it watchable!
Rough up the bottom of the seat where you need to put your strips of velcro and get yourself some good epoxy bonding agent
Snow, eh? We know the feeling. Also, Unboxing hack acquired 🤙🏻 thank you.
3m double sided tape clear…1 inch, is awesome! Be serious when you attach it though! It’s not coming off easily.
eyy Jimmy were u wearin the Jackbag jacket? coool. I just ordered one on their kickstarter. can't wait for it 👍🏾
That's a good eye! We are testing out the preproduction model and sending them our feedback.
indeed. I love the reflective material as I have a heavier Lazyrolling so I like that u can insert armor & it be a lighter alternative for warmer weather ✔
Congrats Jimmy for getting your hands on the s20. Your video helped allay my concerns I had about my pre-order and now I can't wait to ride it. Hope it warms up soon there. In your next video can you do a range test on it? I'm hearing numbers from 30 to 60 miles. I used to get 45 miles on my S18 going in the low twenties so I was hoping to at least get 80 miles on the s20 because it's double the battery of the S18.
SpeedyFeet UK posted a range test on the s20 and I believe he got just under 30 miles of range (also very cold temps).
@@augustleo7434 exactly that's what I was talking about but then others got 60
Range varies wildly depending on riding style and riding conditions. We'll see what we can get out of this guy!
@@freshlycharged When are you doing a range test on S20?
@@TedTheAtheist did it. Just gotta sit down and edit the video now.
Like the cool reflective jacket!
As someone who doesn't ride nor really know anything about EUCs, this really looks like a brand wanted to make something good but also wanted to cheap out on the parts they were putting on it. The plastic looks awful and brittle like you said in the video, the killswitch is a pretty big oversight, there should be some mechanism to hold it in place a bit more securely maybe some decent magnets or something I don't know. But also I really like your review, feel like I got a really in depth look at it through a seemly unbiased lens
Tape a hand warmer on the back of gopros where the battery is if you're back out in the cold temps again 😁
Brilliant! I’m doing this for sure!
Great review that pushes me ever-closer to ordering one. I wouldn't want to be an early adopter, like I was with the 16x, but I'm guessing orders placed now will be some time coming.
It would be nice if KingSong shared the CAD of those plastic parts. Even with a tougher plastic, they could still get broken, and those of us with 3D printers could print replacements (in ABS, for example).
Regarding your GoPro batteries getting too cold. The new Enduro battery works at very cold temperatures, as well as giving longer run times in normal temperatures. - Full disclosure, I work for GoPro.
Thanks, Guys. And to think, I used to live just over the river from Rev Rides and never once went there. Too bad.
Great company!
Killswitch software is very smart on kingsongs. It's the same on older wheels too, if you ride a pull a handel on 16x it won't cut off.
I use contact glue first then put the velcro on to the contact glue it holds fantastic.
That's a great idea! What brand did you use?
@@Andrew-vt4jt weldwood contact cement. Bought at Lowes
I looks like the shock reservoir is exposed so that it may be easily broken when crashed. 🤔 Great review !
It is so cheaply made it is pathetic and humiliating.
I agree with the shock reservoir being exposed but I have yet to hear of it getting damaged in any of the units that have been sent out
Dang almost 1million views! That’s gotta be so enjoyable mentally and financially lol
andrew is always staring into my soul whenever i watch a vid lol
That's how I gain my knowledge. Stealing souls of PEV enthusiasts. 😵💫
Great video! I definitely want one but I'll wait for the 2nd or 3rd batch.
Patience is a virtue!
Good Review on S20. Hopefully my next wheel!👍
What you riding now?
126 volts is 105% of nominal, and it’s the high end of ANSI C84.1 Range A, the 60 Hz standard! In the US, the standard voltages are 120/240 and 120/208, and a higher range for industry. So the 120 volt standard is at most every location!
🇮🇪 cool video very good sharing brilliant

I would have loved to have one of these back in the day. A wingsuit would have been killer in my twenties, as well. Sadly, now with a bunch more metal in my heavily re-enforced, resectioned leg ( benign tumor ), I cannot risk anymore injury. Those things look like a BLAST!
You should try a smaller one out. They are a ton of fun.
