- I first heard about FAIRLIE BAKEHOUSE from my cousin when we just arrived in New Zealand back at the end of 2018.
I have been both patient and eager for this moment to FINALLY try this pie, easily identified by the rectangular piece of CRACKLING nestled atop a delicious flaky pie.
Try the PORK BELLY W/ APPLESAUCE & CRACKLING for yourself!

You need to do another video with my personal favorite pie in the whole world the great farlie bakehouse salmon&bacon pie.
The belly pork with apple sauce and crackling on the top is the best pie ever!
I was there on one of my many journey's to New Zealand when there was a flood in the 90's and saw a saw mill along the river get washed away.A lovely town, country.
Yikes, hopefully you were ok? Thanks for watching!
We are heading to fairly over the weekend ao excited to taste the famouse pie in nz thanks for sharing..
I hope you enjoy it! Crazy coincidence but we literally just passed by there today on our way to Tekapo, and I can confirm its just as good as I remember it.
Pies definitely looked the real deal. Sorry about the singing though bro! hahahahaha....happy motoring.
I visited Fairlie in 2012 and I loved it so much
Unbelievable that pork belly, crackling pie...
@@MarkRobles I don't think they had it back then but the town itself was amazing. It was in the winter and I remember a sign on one of the shops saying "closed untill spring" or something like that. Coming from a big city I could not believe it :D amazing experience
