I'm 51, was at that show. Had the pleasure to be close to the front. It was more than hot and very muddy. Went to many Rock shows in my twenties and thirties. Saw STP twice, and they were the two best shows I've ever attended. RIP Scott Weiland.

Love this comment. I'm 49 - @ first STP album was sorta written off - Grunge Copycats. NO! Those TUNES are brilliant. Watching this you can see that Scott Weiland WILL ALWAYS BE one of the finest Rock frontmen to ever live. I just wish they'd done Dead and Bloated! His moves and lithe body are as COOL& magnetic sexy as it gets. PLUS - His VOICE is Marvellous! RIP Weiland. Underneath all the addiction - this shows you as the consumate entertainer and a man not afraid to be vulnerable. The CONECTION with that crows Evan is top of the line - I too have seen many of the Best. Special shout out to Robert DeLeo - Almost as cool as SW.

I was at this concert. As good as it portrays on screen it was 100 times better in person. This was the best show I have ever seen in person. The band was in its prime and unstoppable at that point. I miss those days where everybody was into the show and not holding up their phones.

It’s just getting through one day to make it to the next making sure we don’t step on someone else’s toes while we’re crushed, waiting to go to Heaven and thank Jesus face to face for saving our souls from eternal Hell.

Every member of STP is an all star. Robert is the definition of the greatest of bassists. He doesn’t get enough credit for his playing and background vocals. Dean is a master at writing. There’s so many things I love about this band but one thing that always struck me being a huge fan of rock’n’roll is, they had the classic lineup ‘a la Zeppelin etc tight powerhouse drummer, a groovy invented bass player, a riff master guitar hero, and a brilliant lyricist/rockstar frontman. Their music has aged like a fine wine, chefs kiss👌 R.I.P Scott you did good

@@Donna777 I came across an article about Scott because Ive always had this feeling that he just didnt overdose. I know this may seem out there but we all know he fought the demon of Heroin yet something still didnt sit right with me. So, here it goes...I read a statement where Scott basically admitted he sold out but put it more in words of yes I screwed up and give in to this New world order. Oh I have so much to say I dont know where to start but with his first album Core you see there is a Witch on it holding a crystal ball and they call it scrying. I do believe Scott may have had demonic influence against him but he still fought against it. Some of the people that came in and out of his life werent good for him. You never seen Scott do things like throw up the hand gestures or symbols like many other in the industry do. I believe Scott was given a overdose. If you look at him up until he started with his new band he looked well and as time went on he really went down. You know how the witches and masons go by the numbers thing. But, it is said that the town where he was found dead had a high level Masonic temple there. Also, he died on killabrew drive. He was working himself to death to pay for child support and Mary wasnt kind in her article about him and the childern but you could see he loved them dearly and wanted so bad to be able to see them more but he stated she made it hard on him. I might be wrong but his new wife it was said liked to go to the hollywood forever cemetery for the movie night and events. Most all of those women Courtney love, Linda Ramone, Pamela De Barres, and others go there and have a Coven meeting in the Masonic temple that not many know are on the Cemetery property. There is more but Ill stop here and let you do your own research if you want. But, yes Scott was something special and I will forever love and miss him. Hope you dont think I am a conspiracy nut. Chris Cornell , Chester and Scott are all worth more dead than Alive. Scott was an easy target. Peace!

Couldn’t take your eyes off Scott, and his voice was angelic, and the band was tight as hell. Watching it now, it’s bittersweet. Knowing what would happen in the end. Being from Seattle, my band played with many of the bands that went on to “grunge” fame. Every Dbag A&R guy was combing the city to find a Nirvana or Pearl Jam, and their were some great bands that they missed out on. The DeLeo brothers were great. Robert wrote a lot of their music. Their guitar and bass voicings were unlike others at that time. My point? They never got as much credit as they should have. I’m not talking “radio play.”

Stone Temple Pilots were one of those bands where the bass and drums intertwined so perfectly together that it still sounds like there is a rhythm guitar playing during the guitar solos.

As a professional musician that’s just bonkers to me. He had to be totally relying on side fills (speakers aimed at the stage) which… while singing is just a nightmare. Folks that have never done it don’t realize: if you can’t hear your own voice, because those amps and drums and PA are WAY louder than it, you can’t sing on key. He’s roaming everywhere with total confidence. No in ears. A gifted performer at his peak here

I was bartending at a small bar in Charleston SC and in walks STP. 2 or 3 of the band members, including Weiland(eyeliner and all), bellied right up. We were slow that night, was either a Saturday or a Sunday, and no one bothered them, which was cool. Weiland was mellow, quiet, and polite but seemed generally disturbed. I don't think I saw him smile once. This was sometime in 1997. He had 4 double bourbons on the rocks(SC state law only allowed mini bottles at that time, so 1.7 oz x 2 x 4) and they left about an 1 hour or so later (with girls of course) :) He was a good tipper too.
