@@DMCarReviews oh yes, one of my very favorites was the Mazdaspeed 6, fun little car and super quick. I also liked the Infiniti M45 which had a V8 and kind of had a sinister aura in my eyes. And if I kept going on about all of the cars from that era I would bore you😂😂 although Im sure you know many. Which were your favorites?

@@DMCarReviews very cool list, I was also going to mention the Lexus GS430 as well. 2024 definitely has good cars but they are just too expensive these days. Its hard to find a cheaper car that’s really good and enjoyable to drive which was the beauty about that older era

I was focused on the fuel in this pov. I have one of these an 04 automatic with 114,000 miles. Its currently at the dealership though because I hit a median at like 40mph and fucked my rim up. These things are super reliable and durable as long as you maintain them, I love mine.

Wow! Great find right there! I wanted a 2004 or newer TL but only in a 6MT with Navigation... I could never find one that had either low enough mileage, a 6MT with Nav, or one that wasn't beaten to you know what. The two I wanted the most used were... The 2005-06 TL A-Spec 6MT, or my absolute favorite... The 2007-08 TL Type-S 6MT. Especially the final year, 2008. I'd still buy one today if it was stock in great condition with low miles for the year, if the price was good. Maybe one day. I miss owning a stick. My motorcycle is a 6-speed manual, so that helps lol.

@@truonghtheis the type s worth it ?? Found one with 98k miles an 07 with the 6-speed. He wants 12k but seems like a lot, i want it for 10. Timing belt done lot of other stuff done too. But 12k seems like a lot w it being 17 years old

    • @truonghthe
      @truonghthe 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@joeysand2205 yes it worth it, otherwise it wouldn’t able fetch top dollar in today used market despite being 17 years old when compare to Lexus IS350, Infiniti G35, BMW 335i, Audi A4 and Mercedes E350 of the same era.
Pre 2020 you can pick a relative ok example TL-S MT for less than $8k, clean one for around $11k.
Do to inflation and the new disappointment TLX-S the price on these car has climbed.
Now even with the slow market they could fetch $10.5k for the one need works and $14k for a clean example.
Exterior/interior color combo is another deciding factor how much more it can get.
E.G. Red and Blue exterior with two tone seat always bringing more premium than the white seat counterparts.
It is not the type of car buying and daily driven (unless you already own one for a long time) if you base on dollar amount.
It for those who want to experience the nostalgia of Honda/Acura glory V6 that looks great and drive great.
Performance wise? In today standard the TL-S MT are slow AF. Stock for stock in straight line it has the same performance if not slower than a 2018-2020 Accord Sport 10 spd.
I bought my manual Type S in two weeks prior Covid 2020. I would have a manual TL long time ago if it wasn’t for my stubbornness.
I only wanted Moroccan Red Pearl or Kinetic Blue Pearl exterior with Ebony/Silver interior with manual.
Took me awhile but i manage to snag one with Aspec lip already installed.

@@joeysand2205the type s manual is so rare, it’s hard enough finding a type s auto for a good price, you would enjoy is considering it’s also a Honda and the timing was just done and very low mileage for that age, if you can get it for 10k you have a banger

ah the car that send BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus scramble back to the drawing board. And no these TL doesn't have to worry about getting gapped by a Hyundai/Kia of the same era 😆
I remembered the 04 TL was off loaded from truck to dealer as new car then seeing 05 offered complete Aspec with sticker price couple bucks under $40k. Then the 07-08 Type S

Your comment about modern Acuras is interesting... I thought they'd lost their way in the 20-teens, with the beak-y grilles and weird infotainment screens, but the 2021+ TLX looks to be an improvement. I bought a new TL 6-speed in 2005 and loved driving it for 10 years, then test drove a loaded 2015 V6 SHAWD TLX and felt like I was driving a Buick. Bought an Audi S3 instead. I'm now seriously looking at the 2024 TLX Type S, which looks to be an impressive vehicle in most respects and a solid successor to my old TL. I'll need to drive one to be sure, though.

@@brucebrowne5022 I test drove not one but two separate 2023 to get rid any doubt, however after seeing the built quality is clear to me.
I end up buying a Lexus instead and the M340i was my back up car just in case I couldn't find the ideal Lexus.
