There is a game called Combat Mission: Black Sea that released in November 2014 that entails a war between Ukrainian/NATO forces vs a Russian invasion in 2017. The graphics are dated but its a very in-depth tactical game with a lot of options. Made by Battlefront.
As a Ukrainian its nice to see the subject in a positive outcome scenario. Wish it was reality but that's a rant for another space. Thanks for the vid man.

Great gameplay, with narration so we can follow along. Although imo i think its an over estimation solely based on more advanced technology. In real war there are alot of factors some known and unknown which can play major roles in outcomes.

I love this simulator. My only gripe with it is that there's no UI function to allow you to copy over the contents of assets (e.g. copying the contents of an ammo bunker). You have to manually put in the magazines and munitions unless you select the unlimited ammo at bases option but that isn't always ideal if you want to be realistic in certain situations. I presume you can do it via a Lua script but I can't be bothered to learn another scripting language just for that. Other than this, this sim is easily the most realistic out there in terms of simulating assets

Medicine also advanced drastically due to war, like with penicillin and antibiotics. Countless other examples exist. Was it worth all the life lost? I doubt it. Saying there is nothing to be gained from war isn't exactly true either.

Play as Russia, AI was incompetent. I’m pretty sure NATO would always win if it fought a singular country (Russia). But I don’t think Russia would fail so I easily in terms of successfully taking a neighboring country. (It’s main goal)

CMO doesn't really have higher level AI, Mission maker has to set up all the missions on timers and triggers
