    crazy that like 7 years back they used to be around 15-40 bucks. it's nuts to me that people can somehow have more than one 2005 with these prices.

    They're everywhere secondhand too. Me and my sister found one that was like, around $170 dollars and it still had a $2 Value Village pricetag on it 🙄 why do sellers act like these things are so ridiculously obscure and worth so much when 2005s are literally the most common furby to find thrift shopping and on local shopping sites after Booms and 2012s??

      I mean, I know they didn't sell too well, but still. It's crazy!

      Also, seems like I'm not as lucky as you since I haven't found a single 2005 in any Savers or Goodwill I've been to. Well, not *yet* that is.

      @@The_One_Time Absolutely!! Ebay is already bad when it comes to furby prices especially in Canada, but this is outrageous! I could buy a week or two's worth of groceries for some of the prices I see these animatronic plastic pairs going up for! 😵

      @@The_One_Time I wish I could help you out in finding them since I know a few good methods but YT keeps censoring me, probably assuming I'm spamming 😕 I honestly don't even bother to look on Ebay anymore with how things are, it's like all the sellers on there see one of those "How much are YOUR vintage toys worth???" Articles and go wild, then the overpriced furby is up on the site for years and years 😵 what I'll try to say is, find local shopping sites and look on those instead, they're less specific but you can get really good listings on them if you wait

    it's absolutely stupid!! They arent even rare. there are tons of listings everywhere for them so they it's not like they're that obscure. I found two in a charity shop for like 2 quid each. (although they're still worth a bit more than that) and my other two i got for around 30 odd a few years back. to me £40 is probably the highest i'll pay. (except if it's the tropical mango furby then i'll prob pay more since it's ACTUALLY RARE)

    Hey I heard that furby boom' and 2012's are programmed to stop moving after a short time so they will sell more and people will buy new one's and I think it's TRUE because it had a lot of used furby's and they where not moving so I took them apart and tested there moters and the moters worked but wen I put them back in my furby they stop working and it's not the gears or anything so kinda sus but it can also just be that overtime the moters get too weak to move a furby because a lot of my furby's had this

    • @The_One_Time
      @The_One_Time  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hmm... Interesting observation. But here's the thing. One of my furby booms had the motor issue most 2012s and later furbys have. I swapped it with a working motor from another furby boom. The one that originally had the dead motor can move again, but the donor furby with the motor from the first one cannot move. The motor is able to move by itself when taken out and powered on so that must mean the motor is still good, right? Well, if we assume that it isn't the motor that's the problem, then it must be the mini board right underneath that connects to the positive and negative terminals of the motor causing the problems, right? Weeeeeeeeelllll what if I told you I removed the board and soldered it to a new motor taken from a computer disc drive and *it works inside the furby?* And yet the other motor doesn't!? How could that be!? That's impossible! If it's not the programming on the furby, nor is it not the little board underneath, what could possibly be causing such horrid issues? Well, perhaps this article *translated* will explain everything for you. furby.tanienaprawy.waw.pl/silnik-zabawki-furby-2012-i-furby-boom.html
