    Another safety factor with the DJI Mini 3 Pro if you need to stop and good to know, hope you enjoy the video :)

    The pause is a very important feature, and your correct they don’t talk about it enough. It’s very useful to stop automated modes that aren’t going well. Thanks for sharing Shaun.

    THANK YOU! I have had two occasions where my new mini 4 tried to land somewhere other than the home point. I panicked and tried to get control of the aircraft .... when what I needed to do is hit that Pause button! 😐I have flown my mini 4 many times and it always RTH with no problems so I was caught off-guard. Now I know...thanks to You, Shaun. Thank you so much.

    Thanks for this Shaun. I kinda thought that’s what it might be, but now that I watched your video I’m gong to make it instinctual to reach for that button instead of looking to tap on a tiny red X on the screen. That big pause button is much smarter. Thank you!

    Thank you Shaun for the tips re the Pause Button. I hadn't realised that if you held it too long it would switch to return-to-home mode.

    Yes, pause button or could be called "Panic" button. :)
    Good to know.
    Additional thought..Drone uses relative altitude (from takeoff) but I saw from using subtitles it also knows absolute altitude ..ie above sea level.
    If you want it to follow you walking up a hill or road incline, there is no setting to keep constant altitude above the road surface.
    I live in a very hilly area.
    Also if I takeoff ...max altitude easily gets exceeded when terrain is mountainous.p

      Thank you for the comment, the Mavic Pro had a mode which would follow up and down hill but didn't work very well. I've a video coming out using the Active Track and no good with walking towards up hill. Many thanks for watching :)

    Does activating pause disable the joysticks until the pause button is pressed again or does moving the joysticks take the drone out of pause mode?
    Very informative video, thank you.

    • @shaunthedrone
      @shaunthedrone  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question Scot, as soon as you press the the Pause button, the drone stops, it wont matter how long you press it for. As soon as you touch the sticks, the drone will move again. Many thanks for watching.

    Hello friend!
    Thank you so much for a pause video. In Portuguese I only saw 1 video where he showed it quickly but you made the video exclusively about the button.
    My drone will be a Mini2 but it works the same.
    Thank you again.

    They need to implement a software feature where you can toggle it on to where the pause button will also pause all controller inputs. Tbh is way we can lock the joysticks or any other inputs and buttons from working until it’s unpaused.

    Doesn’t taking your hands off the sticks do the same thing? Or is this more for when you’re using some of the automotive tracking more features when the drone is flying itself?

    • @shaunthedrone
      @shaunthedrone  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question Robert, by hitting the Pause button, it stops straight away. By taking your fingers off the sticks, it won't stop straight away but it will stop eventually. Many thanks for watching :)

    This is exactly the same as on the mini2 controller, with that controller its labelled exactly the same, and these are things you should know before taking off for the first time as they are in the manual

    • @shaunthedrone
      @shaunthedrone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true Martin, this is just a reminder as some don't check the manual. Many thanks for your comment :)

    If you take off and immediately hit return to home while you are say 5ft off the ground, will the drone automatically fly up to the Return to Home Height of 100ft etc.? Or will it simply go back down from 5ft to the ground? Just incase there are lots of trees above me when i am flying at moderate height 5ft or so and decide to return to home.

    • @shaunthedrone
      @shaunthedrone  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question, one I don't know. I've flown up not realising I was under a tree! Crashed the drone, lesson learnt, always look up before take off! I will try this out and make a video - thanks for watching :)

    • @virpat206
      @virpat206 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Drone won't go to RTH height....it will simply land....

    • @shaunthedrone
      @shaunthedrone  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Good question Richard, if you let go of the sticks, it will stop but not straight away unlike the pause button. Many thanks for watching

    Not sure about resuming flying after the pause button is used. Will pushing it again resume flying, or does one have to use a joystick movement?
