Those 2 series with Utah, MJ opened it with a buzzer beating shot on Game 1 of '97 Finals and closed it out with a game winning shot on Game 6 of '98 Finals...what a storybook ending!

This is what seperates MJ from the other superstars. You know he's the finals MVP without checking how many points he scored, how many rebounds he grabbed and how many assists he dished. He had many playoffs and finals moments. He's 6-0 in the finals and 6 FMVPs record is really earned.

He truly is the rarest of athletes. Have you ever seen some one just get better and better until hence there isn't a flaw in there game? By 1990 his game was impeccable it was perfect. The craziest thing about mj was his foot work he used it to fool his defenders all the time.

@Redd Not in the playoffs. As much as I love Kobe, Jordan's clutch shooting in the playoffs and finals were Way better than Kobe's.

MJ’s game winning % in the playoffs is nearly identical to a random 2nd quarter shot in the regular season. THAT is the definition of clutch.

GOAT not just of basketball but possibly of all sports ever. He was averaging 33 in the finals when, due to this old idea called physical defense, teams were averaging 75-95 points. And he did it mainly shooing low percentage 2’s! Thats a lot of buckets! If leflop is better why isn’t he averaging 40+ like MJ would be in the modern NBA that is designed to make it easier for the offense to score and averages more points a game and where 3’s are taken like crazy?

@skills1ent what a trash info that is. pure clueless with hater talk. lmao so much hate towards jordan
11 rings russell has, played with 10+ hofs in an era with 8 teams against a bunch of white midgets and took just 1 round to reach the finals and his playoff stats and perfomance were horrible
rings alone not make you great, jordan impacted the game like none else and made ball global wide popular. everybody wanted to be like mike
i couldnt hear anybody wanted to be like russell
jordan and his bulls road to the finals were just LEGENDARY as well the finals self
Jordan took the NBA from local antenna broadcasts into the multi million dollar enterprise you see today. Jordan is the reason you get ESPN broadcasting weekly games. He's the reason why the Lakers have their own tv contract. He's the reason the dunk contest is dead. Let me explain that one: no one compares to the hype and delivery he did.
Jordan is the reason people turned up to watch an older player who was gone from the game and came back. Jordan was/is/and always will be there things to the NBA.
now here is the reason why they won 55 games without him when jordan left for baseball and retired for 21 months
take note: that the bulls were already a 3 time champion they were still intact, it was still the same team only mj left, Lol it was still the same Bulls Line Up that won the 2peat except Jordan was gone still got Grant, Armstrong, Cartwright and Paxson, plus Toni Kukoc who was not a below average rookie, fact is, Kukoc averaged 11 pts in 24minutes, much better than Pippen in his rookie year who averaged 7points in 21 minutes LOL ...Fact is, Pippen, Grant and Armstrong were below average rookie..they all developed under Jordan's Leadership...they would have lost in the finals if they make it that far...u think a rookie pippen could lead the bulls into the playoffs ?! LOL NEVER...,..mj made pip a legend, fact. So it wasn't that hard to go to the 2nd round without mj. Cause he had already instilled a winner's attitude in them! These are facts that even Phil Jackson stated on several occasions and even in his book.
they added 2 key shooters for the absence of jordan, kerr and kukoc big reason why they could make it so far without Jordan besides the winning attitude of his teammates after came off from a 3peat. still they never won a title without him and kukoc became a better player by playing with jordan as his teammate
in 95 the only reason why the magic beat jordan and his bulls, he was NOT in his full basketball playoff form even if he scored 55pts against the knicks
what happened the year after ? once he was back in his full basketball form, 72-10 happened and the magic got swept,...LMAO SWEPT with an athletic penny and shaq
Jordan was a rookie who was sent to a trash small market team who never ever made it to any finals in it's existence,..he was competing against stacked Big market multi titled teams like the Lakers and the Celtics,.the Bulls built a team of unproven rookies who averaged single digits in their rookie years, and a couple of veterans who was averaging single digits themselves, Lol..topped with a rookie coach in phil Jackson,..together, they perseverd and bounced back from losses until they achieved a feat that their stacked rivals can't, a 3peat,.and another.
drafted to a team of multiple cocaine addicts, including Orlando Woolridge and Quintin Dailey - both of whom eventually left the team due to their addictions.
once the bulls were in their prime and ready for competition, once jordan had teammates that finally stepped up to him 2 3peats..and arguably 8 - 0 if he not retire in the middle of his prime!
Jordan turned unknown average players into Champions
He won championships with average supporting cast beside him.
Steve Kerr is just a bench warmer journeyman before joining the Bulls.
Rodman lost his offensive game during the latter stint with Pistons/Spurs.
Harper was just a shell of himself after knee injuries that nearly end his career.
Jordan Won his last 2 Finals with Teammates Averaging under 56ppg combined LOL since 1954, no one else has done this even once.
MJ just won one Finals with Teammates Averaging 70.2 PPG, that was in 91' and that was because Jordan Averaged 11.4 APG in that Finals Series, highest by a Player not Named Magic Johnson.

I have to assume that it was mostly jealousy by the radical tree-hugging Bill Walton, a terrible announcer to begin with, that caused him to all but wear a Jazz uniform while announcing as if he worked for them, constantly saying how if they just played MJ a certain way they could shut him down. Really? I think Jordan has had every conceivable defense played against him, including the Pistons, and he still found a way every year. And exactly whet is Walton jealous of? Does anyone on the planet believe that if MJ wasn't the greatest of all time that somehow Bill freiking Walton would be instead? Bizarre, but he is a weirdo anyway. Merry Christmas! Cars.

They really put Jeff Hornacek on Michael Jordan?

    • @Benzene21
      @Benzene21 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

No. Watch the games, dude. Russell was Jordan’s primary defender. Hornacek wasn’t even the second defender. This is why I always laugh when people list hornacek as one of Jordan’s defenders. smh

To me the hand thing also means 3 points game is no fun. Basketball should be fun. Maybe a spectacular move with a basket (call it a trotter or a Harlem point?) should yield 4 points, encouraging players to, forgive my saying, "do some shit"

I remembered watching this game from start to finish, but all what they are saying about Michael Jordan. He is nowhere compared to Bill Russell a man with 11 rings, almost twice the amount of rings to Michael Jordan. Anyway it was a very nice final, and the Bulls came out on top for the championship.

So why compare Lebron to Michael? As far as I'm concerned Lebron is not even bad as Michael shoe lase.

How is he the goat? you don't give kevin love enough credit.. Kevin Love playing with a team on his back. Lebron too heavy to carry. KD doesn't have to carry the warriors, that's the only reason Kevin Love will lose the Finals to KD

Crossover? You don't even understand the game, this game with the old rules where physical defense was allowed an everybody is allowed to stand in the paint. When you can shove a guy with your hands and forearms both front and backside, today's little fancy handle shit isn't going to get you anywhere.
Nonstop dribbling today is a result of the softening of the rules, the wide open paint and today's ticky tack foul interpretations - that's why everybody scores so easily today. If MJ played in today's game, he'd score 40+ every night. And this video is old man MJ at 34 years old. Without using PED's like today's players.
