South Africa is the best country in Africa. Im supprised that Themba, pronounced Temba, could have gone to such excessive measures, but I guess when you are really struggle even in a country with so much to offer, one is bound to do anything to escape in hope of a better life elsewhere. There are too many people like you in this world that have no empathy for others’ dire straits. You make assumptions out of your arrogance and ignorance. The hard life journeys of people leaving unbearable situations that force them to make the heartbreaking and dangerous flights from their homelands to the unknown are unimaginable to you. A more successful try was in the mid 1960s. Kenny Pastori stowed on a Pan Am flight from New York to London. He stowed in a chamber beneath the pilot’s cabin that was pressurized and warm. After landing he waited until the plane was empty and exited up through the cabin floor. He, however failed to clear customs due to a lack of a ticket! He was questioned by Scotland Yard and eventually was sent back to New York.

I wonder how this Kenny Pastori could be so.....well stupid to try to clear customs, basically enter a country foreign to him by conventional means as opposed to jumping some fences. I'd be extremely surprised if he procured a passport, let alone a visitor visa. By the same token, I'm not surprised at all now, if he had no idea they would be very helpful if not essential.

To continue a weird story, Kenny jumped a train and ended up in Austin when we were all getting turned into a nation of Hippies!. He was so friendly and guileless that he became an Austin fixture. But his real dream was to eventually make it to the small Seychelles off the east coast of Africa. After a year in Austin he jumped a train back to Queens, New York. From there he hide, unfortunately on The plane Robert Kennedy was taking to California and his demise. The Secret Service discovered him and gave him the third degree! They released him and he jumped Anther train to L A!!! Some mutual friends ran into him there and learned he was soon getting on a plane to Hawaii. He made it to Hawaii and there he met some Air Force crewmen who got him on a flight to Guam. At that point I’m unsure how he got to the Seychelles but about a month later he wrote me and described his incredible trip!!! He soon went completely native and I assume is still living his dream!

I too lost my parent when I was 14 years old, and I lived alone from that age until I was 16 years old, I then stayed with strangers( which I now consider family) at age 17 until I finish matric. See I was one of the few lucky ones because I had a somewhat roof over my head that Themba never had , I was disciplined and I loved books and school ( still do) I passed my matric very well. A year later after completing my matric I got a job in a very prestigious organisation which changed my whole life, just celebrated my 15 year anniversary in the organisation. I’m a proud mother. Thank you UK for taking care of Themba and not judging him, trust me at the time this felt like the only solution he had and I assure you when I visit the UK it will definitely be inside the plane with secure seating😂😂😂

I spent several years of my childhood in rural Africa -which was probably the most impactful events during that period and an immense blessing & privilege. The desire to seek a better life in the West is very intense among so many. However, the life that awaits many of those who do make it is not what they expected or hoped for and there are many who regret it at least to some degree. But returning without "a fortune" would be very shameful and they would be looked down on as failures.
I am so pleased to learn that Justin is at least living his life in England as he so longed to do, but I can feel his pain for the loss of his dear friend, Carlito.

Awesome story! Poor little girl. I lost my dad when I was 5months old so I know what she is going through.

I didn't want to upset the daughter?
Man shutup . You didn't/don't give a fxk! About the daughter. You just wanted to make your documentary earn your money and that's it. If only the west would stop:
      STEALING
      RIPPING-OFF
      CREATE CAOS
in those countries than they would not NEVER! leave their country to go somewhere else where they are not wanted
Mozambique is a country that is RICH! with natural resources. That uk does not have AT ALL!.sadly the west is making sure to support corruption dictatorship, civil war and get their hands via corrupt ways. And paying those local thiefs millions. To make sure their is always caos, war and keep the people dumb. So they can never progress and understand what is happening.
And each years the west will send a few hundred millions for charities and some used clothes. Whilst they RIPP THEM OF FOR BILLIONS AND BILLIONS EACH YEAR.
      SAD!
How many americans would flee america or saudis get in a plane like those two men to reach England? And why is that?

I know this guy. I lived with him in a foster care home for a couple of months. He always had this fearless thing I didn't get about him. This was very wild though. But life will push to the limits.

As horrific as it is to imagine, this story was beautifully told. Humbles and grounds me to my great fortune of being born in a G7 country. Thank you for taking the time.

Are suggesting there are no poor people in the G7 countries? How did they become so wealthy? Isn’t it for the array of resources from Africa (diamonds, gold, oil etc…..)

    • @theleastgeneral
      @theleastgeneral 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yeah! You are right. Africans have all it takes, but corruption and bad leadership is our problem.

@userPs91victory you are still repeating the same thing. He's glad he's born in a country that has the ability to "steal" from African resources and utilize the steal judiciously for the betterment of its populace. I mean you know non G7 country can't steal from another continent right?. So his point is still valid. Stop crying. Africa is the problem of Africa. Even if the G7 don't steal from us, we/the politically privileged will steal from ourselves and enrich our unborn generations to the detriment of the less privileged. They are stealing as we speak and coupled with the one G7 are stealing that's double tragedy😂
