Nice overlook for folks that jump in the hobby. There are not many overlooking clips. I think this helps folks to maybe choose this, or that scale. I never ran HO`s , all others I run. Well done Steve :-)
Thanks, I decided to make this video because we race all the scales and they all have differences but they all are fun! You should try a AFX mega G+ I have a couple videos showing how easy it is to make them run on the larger scale tracks👍
My friend, great coverage. So glad there is a size for all. My Ho is TYCO moved from 4x10 to a new 11X5 that's like NASCAR Talladega (I banked all the outer turns) on front and back stretch then i turn into infield to switch into AFX two hard 90s then into two chicanes' and midway is the hair pin. Joni hates the hair pin I spin her out a lot. My next winter project is 1/43 on a 6.5x12.5 that lowers over the HO.
Cool! and with the new 1/43 do my ho easy conversion and you can run your HO cars on the 1/43 track and they will have more room being spaced apart I would say about a inch. Thanks for looking.
Thanks for sharing, 132 is my favorite not too large but yet as we’re older in our 50s pushing 60 lol we can see the parts and work on them not like those little HO’s if a spring goes flying forget it.😅🏎️🏎️🏎️
@@BSslotcars Those cheap ones were really good, we had loads as at the time they were 10p a car a Scalextric was £3.50. We had our favourite bodies and used the other cars for spares. They lasted for years.
For sure they really supposed to be the size of the afx T jets but for some reason the cars grown over the years but the track they run on stayed the same size? Thanks for looking.
Ho went from ho size to so big now that the track is to small for how wide they are now because the cars got so much bigger than the original ones for the track size. Those 1/24 cars are monsters! Thanks for watching.
Steve if it wasn't for you and your great videos here I would of never considered running all scales on my 1/24 scale Carrera track that I video now! This is a great video comparing the scales. What voltage would you recommend for each scale ? 🏁
That's awesome!! I want to get to that gift you sent in but my sisters pet dog had a knee operation and she has no time so it may take a while. As for voltages here is what we run at our track. 1/24 18V , 1/32 Fly and scalex normal type 1/32 cars 12V carrera 1/32 13.6V the 1/43 we run 16V and Ho we do 18 to 23V depending on the cars. Hope this helps
Wow I can't imagine running the HO slotcars at 23V. They are hard to handle for us on our 1/24 scale Carrera track at 14.8 volts. What voltage do they run on standard HO plastic track like AFX?🏁
@@Lews_SlotCarTesting Hi the afx Mega G+ HO cars can do up to 23 and normally all ho cars but the real old smaller T jet types most people use 18V. 👍👍 AFX mega G+ are nothing like the ho cars you have that look kind of made how the 1/43 cars, your going to have to try one get the longer chassis those run better... like new mustangs, new vettes , 70 camaro and indy cars.

@@BSslotcars I might will one of these days, but like you mentioned, it is hard to follow them at our age 🙂
As you know it's all about 1:32 here. Love your comparisons on the cars. Happy racing you 2!!🏎️🏁
Yep! Thanks and glad you enjoyed it.

I’m thinking of getting back into the 1:24 which I did as a kid back in the 70’s. I have two tracks within 60 miles of my house in SoCal.
Cool the 1/24 are nice in these hard body home type racing cars so detailed!

Years ago we used some very cheap smaller slot cars we found as Scalextric were so expensive.
Cool! I think other brands HO cars run much better than those scalextric ones also.

Great comparison 👍🏻! SCFL!
😁👍👍 Thanks bro!
Good video friend
Great advice 👍
Cheers 👍
Thanks very much!
Scratchbuilt 1/43 scale on wood tracks all the way for me! Though HO Micro Scalextric chassis are very useful as motor pods in 1/43.
O that's cool!
Nice little video great job keep up the good work i agree with you on being able to see the bigger ones i have HO and 1/43 scale
Thanks, yes I do think 1/43 is a great size slot car!
I'm with the old Tycos (1/87?), but the big 24th always had a special charme for me.
Yes those old tycos were real good HO cars! The 1/24 are awesome though. Thanks!
Thanks for makimg this Steve. I just had someone ask me about different sizes of slotcars. I sent this video. Good job🎉
COOL! Glad I could help, Thanks
Nice scoop on the scale size. Thanks for showing.
Thanks for watching!😁👍
Nice comparisons Steve!👍😊
I had HO as a kid.
Very cool! I think most everyone did before all the stores stopped selling them. Thanks for watching.
Great intro video for those trying to decide on what to race and track to build..
Figured we have all the scales may as well show them all. Thanks
1/24th scale gives the best driving experience.
They are sweet! Thanks for watching.
HO is very close to 1/64
Nice vid showing the different sizes especially how big the 1/24 is😳
Depends on the manufacturer and age of the car. HO vary greatly in size.

I gotta tell ya, I like my 1/43 better then my HO , there I said it!!
😁They are a nice size not to small not to big and easy to see when driving too! Thanks for watching.
More race less space for me.
Yep small space HO or even 1/43 are top scales! Thanks for watching.
