@@sunkissedbucketlist you guys are already in 0.001% people who has visited more chinese city. But china is so big it will take 3 - 4 years to visit all. Then after you finished all you will find the first city you visited has already changed & you start the cycle again. 😂😂😅😅
Do you know that china videos ( especially your videos ) are the most mood uplifting videos i see on youtube. They become a dream - they become a goal for another life experience - to follow you and to stand one day in your footprints. I became a fan of china as much as you are and definitely will start learning mandarin next year. When you see programs over europe and germany in particular, you get the feeling that society became wierd and all is on the path to go down. But for a german like me especially in Qingdao there is something familiar - something special, fine and noble which is kindly preserved for the future - something we lost and find back in this beautiful china - a place we would never expect. I´m so glad that our ancesters went to china for the memory of them is heardly respected and preserved, while it is trampled on hereover in europe. China is such an amazing country, they're living in the future! Would love to visit! So much to see and experience! Nothing like what the media depicted! ❤😊
@@michael199461People that hate China are definitely those either they have never been there or listen to all these Western medias anti China propaganda. Qingdao (青岛) is a very beautiful city, as you can see. The city is most famous for its seafood, and I highly recommend trying the steamed sea crabs in Qingdao, which are incredibly fresh and delicious. Yantai (烟台) is another beautiful city near Qingdao, and it is also a seaside city that is definitely worth visiting!
I'm so excited that you went to Qingdao! I LOVE it there. Especially the older part of town with all the German architecture/influence. Such a beautiful city. I hope you make it to Yantai. I lived there for 4 years and despite it being a much smaller city, it definitely is my favorite place in the country.
I love this vLog, you guys really had fun along the beach. The other side of the ocean is DaLian which is famous for seafood too. I am surprised to see QingDao is so warm in December. You are so right that China is such a big country that is full of everything. Even if you spent almost a year in China, you still have a lot to explore.
Qingdao is seriously a largely unknown gem outside of China. Well done! I wonder if you will visit important Daoist mountain of Lao Shan outside the city.
We were in Qingdao many years ago. It looks so beautiful and different now. Have you visited the Qingdao beer museum and enjoy the free beer and the beer nuts?
Welcome to Shandong Province and welcome to Qingdao !Your videos of Tibet are awesome ! I am glad that you are in a new city making more amazing videos. Love you guys !
I think Tsingtao beer is pronounced the same way as Qingdao (ching dow). That's how I've always heard it pronounced by the staff in Chinese restaurants anyway! I also used to work with someone whose surname was pronounced Chang, but he spelt it Tsang. So it seems that ts and ch are pronounced the same way!
Yeah... Qingdao is so beautiful and on the coast... Are you going to Dalian, another beautiful city not so far from Qingdao? How about another city in Shandong province, Zibo and... there are too many places to visit in China. You are spoilt for choice and also you can travel your whole lifetime and still can't finish traveling all over China! 😘😍🥰
You can come to my hometown of Shanxi Province when you have the opportunity. There are more than half of the country's ancient buildings with thousands of years.
qingdao and tsingtao are actually the same, just different ways to romanize the chinese characters. tsingtao is the old way before china made pinyin the official way to write out chinese characters using english alphabet. so if you see and brands that are written the old way, it likely has a pretty long history. chinese beers are pretty light in general, good for those who don't really like the taste of beer 😅
Welcome to my home province and my favorite city in China! The Jiangsu Road Christian Church at the begging of this episode is the landmark of Qingdao in my eyes❤
How did that happen? Didn't Qingdao beach managers prepare a Mixueshop for the mixue couple? Complain to them😂😂! In addition, the blue ice cream is usually flavored with sea salt. The old man you look like a star is Marshal Chen Yi, one of the ten Grand Marshals of the PRC, and he is also a great poet. Qingdao has a very beautiful coastline, in the morning you can go about ten kilometers to the east and you can see a very beautiful sunrise, and there is a very beautiful light show at May 4th Square at about eight o 'clock in the evening.😊
The “VIP” quarters, that is one way to characterize those people. Another name for these VIPs are colonizers from countries that invaded China and forced unequal treaties upon her. In the old days, one would find posted signs outside these exclusive areas that said, “Chinese and dogs are not allowed!” 😡😡🤬🤬 One reason the Germans only “stayed” for 17 years is bc they lost WWI and was kicked out by the League of Nations. China was on the winning side and expecting the occupied territory will be reverted back. However, the West gave Qingdao to Japan instead, another unfair treatment during the 100 years of shame. The Northern Marianas (Saipan) was taken from the German and also given to the Japanese. That set the stage later for the Japanese to invade Guam during WWII due to the proximity. A little historical background…
Thank you! Was looking for this in the comments, Tsingdao has had a painful history no thanks to colonisers 😢 it helps for people to know the past and recognise what happened
The grand house appears to have been owned by a famous People's Liberation Army Marshal named Chen Yi. an early member of the Chinese Communist Party, and who was opposed to the Cultural Revolution. I wonder why location information isn't found in English in some places.

You're in my hometown! The Taidong night markets and Third Bathing Beach light show are both a must! Glad you both enjoyed the city😊
I recommend the Third Beach. The endless skyscrapers are right on the beach and the light show is very cyberpunk.

This reminds me many old European architectures in India. Hope they are all well-preserved.
Weihai, a smaller city near Qingdao has one of the best beach in China. A former British colony
Maybe you may run into the Treeman channel. They do social experiments and pranks there.

Yes, don't drink Qingdao beer unless you know the history. ha.........................😄
Quite interesting how you pronounce the city and the beer in different tones. They are the exact same in Chinese. The beer is named after the City.
