    My wife and I went to Santorini in December once and we had a small rental car. The weather was beautiful and since it was the low season there weren't really any crowds.
    The only downside was that many businesses were closed but we enjoyed practically having the whole island to ourselves and being able to explore the island at our leisure.

      That's how it was when I visited Croatia during the pandemic. I'll take the fact that less businesses are open for the feeling of being there with less crowds.

    One big advise about Santorini. If you drive in Santorini, you must rent a tiny smallest car. Some Santorini roads will make you feel you can go inside and then it turn the road into so much narrow road that you cannot move your car. I went inside to a road which make feel that I can turn in reverse and go back or there is a road in the front but that turn turned so narrow as I went in front that I go stuck inside the road for 40 minutes, my car's side mirror got broken and car got seriously damaged and my motivation of driving got totally ended.Luckily someone came from Coolcar Bilal bhai to rescue me and save me from there. I recommand to take coolcar with the agent Bilal bhai. He will help you anytime you are in trouble.

      Thank you for the info. If you're from the US the narrow road issue is in many areas throughout Europe. I had a similar situation in Croatia. It definitely can be a wet blanket on what is normally an awesome trip.

    Hi, Thanks for sharing . Is it dangerous to drive fron Fira to akrotiri at night?

    • @nerdgasmicadventures8700
      @nerdgasmicadventures8700  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi JonasHero, thanks for commenting. All the roads on Santorini are narrow, especially the ones around the crater rim. People appear to be a bit more cautious at night, probably because they're nervous about the other drivers, the curves and visibility issues. As for Fira to Akrotiri, I didn't drive that as I stayed near Iveromigli and only drove to and from Oia at night. My advice is to avoid driving at night if possible, rent a shuttle service or cab, plenty of those, especially if you're going to go out for a party or two.

    "Stop signs are not a suggestion!" and drives by without stopping.
    And why all first letters capital?

      I agree, that was the point. My brother rolled through the stop sign and I told him they weren't a suggestion. "All first letters capital", because that is the way I did it in the video.

    Reminds me of Grace Kelly . A lookalike route to her dead . Nope , not for me .

      That first part of the road, up from the port is tight, but at the time we were driving there would be no chance to go at high speeds. Otherwise, I would agree with you.
