You share the road with the bike, you chose to overtake on a corner. YOU could have caused an accident.
Not a single shot of real footage of the ballroom. Terrible waste of time
Someone stole my wallet in Krakow. It's a good thing that i only kept my money in there.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉
"..said go 50-60 km/h around that corner. There's no way you can do that in your life!" - Italians beg to differ 😅
Those white chevrons on every tight corner indicate that there is a tight corner coming and you should slow down
Such a fascinating insight into driving in Crete! 🚗 The winding roads and stunning views make it look like an adventure. Quick question: are there any unique driving rules or challenges in Crete that visitors should know about? 🌴🇬🇷
Drive attentively, meaning take safe advantage of what Crete drivers give you. Use the same lanes they are using, even if imaginary.
Took the funicular up in April 2022, fantastic view! Good walk down 😊
The walk down is a must do!
I love this nobody needs to know facts. Please give some advice where to read the hole Story or where you found the Informations. Not just for this video. I like to read stuff up when i hear it and check aß far as i can.
If you're in Japan long enough you'll pick up context; like start recognizing 出口 as "exit" or 停止 as "Stop"
Hi, which road it is? Which side of the island you drove from, north or south? Thanks
This is from the south side of the island. I've heard that the trip from the north side is also very beautiful.
Visiting three vastly different regions in one trip sounds exhausting
In Europe you can visit three vastly different regions within a 12-hour train ride. If you go from Germany, to Austria to Italy it isn't that long of a trip.
@@nerdgasmicadventures8700 Sure, but Austria neighbours Germany. 12 hours gets you, if everything works out well, from Hamburg to Vienna, which would be two vastly different regions. But why would you want spend a whole of your precious vacation on a train if you could instead spend another day enjoying the coast or the mountains?
@@informatikabos5481 I understand your perspective on efficient travel times between destinations. However, I respectfully disagree that spending time on trains during a vacation is inherently undesirable. Many travelers enjoy the journey itself as part of the experience, especially when traveling between vastly different regions. The opportunity to take in diverse landscapes, cultures, and experiences along the way can be part of the appeal. Not everyone prioritizes maximizing beach or mountain time over the journey. Some travelers may relish the chance to explore more of a country, even if it requires more time on trains. The joy of discovering new places and meeting new people can be just as valuable as reaching a final destination. I think there's room for a diversity of travel styles and preferences. What matters most is finding the approach that aligns with each individual's interests and needs. The great thing about travel is that there's no one-size-fits-all solution - it's all about personalizing the experience.
Any recommendation for land base taxi / bus website? I’m seeing all different options and can’t tell if any is scam
I go through a company called airportstaxitransfers.com for my transfers.
In Athens we used Viator, a company that offers scores of tours throughout Europe, to arrange transfers to/from airport, as well as some city tours. Very reliable. We are in Venice in September and, based on that experience, will probably use them again.
That is very helpful for a trip
Don't forget to pack light for school!
Yea
I have a flashlight in my backpack lol
🔦
Goofy, make your bag weigh less, not have a light in your backpack...haha!
Wonderful vid. Thank you. 😊
Thank you, we love to visit the critters.
We’ve gone that way from Phoenix to Portland a couple of times. The views in northern AZ and southern UT are spectacular and it’s a great way to avoid the many annoyances of California
Basically through Reno, right? Eastern Oregon is no-man's land, but has quite a bit of great scenery that most people have no idea about what that looks like.
We are normally in a bit of hurry to get home, so we go up to SLC and take I-84 through Boise and come down the Columbia Gorge. 2 days of driving and I get the fun of driving the “American Autobahn” (I-15 through most of Utah) On our last trip we bought a black Explorer ST (looks a lot like a police car in most rear view mirrors), which was my first car with a turbo. My wife noted that I was “passing more cars than usual” on that highway 🤷♂️
I haven't done the i-84 drive in 20 years. It is gorgeous! Hmmm, I'm not sure that I don't think every drive is a bit like the Autobahn. The sad thing is that I've driven the actual Autobahn and the car rental was a 3 cylinder. Watching Lambo's, Mercedes, Ferrari's and Porsche's fly by me was only fun for the car-watcher in me.
Solo trip?
yep, back in July/early August
if a police officer approaches you, just bribe him its fine
I'll definitely keep that in mind.
Why the video clips of a two-lane rural highway, apparently US 80?
Good point, must have slipped in the wrong clip at that point and didn't notice. It's my clip too, so a weird mistake.
Yunanıstan 🇬🇷
We love Greece!!
Hey this is done really well. I met you at tucson Airport i think September 24 we were flying to Chicago i believe.
Thanks for the complement. I remember, we flew to Dallas and then you had a quick layover and I flew on to Montreal..
how easy was it to find parking?
thanks for this, helpful haha. my current itinerary for tenerife plans for a lot of driving. Feeling a bit more apprehensive now, hope it isn't too mentally draining. winding roads I don't mind as long as google maps works, but I'm worried about wanting to find a shop or somewhere to eat and the only places to park are somewhere very cramped on the road. I only drive at weekends sometimes so my parking is below average.
I would just say that if Google Maps tries to take you off of what looks to be a main road, just continue on the main road, it will adjust. Keep to the main roads. Parking up there is fine, in response to your other question. You'll have plenty of space to park your car.
@@nerdgasmicadventures8700 Thanks! and yeah I've learnt that lesson the hard way with google maps haha

What area in Crete was the tunnel you drove through?
It was in western Crete, driving between Elafonisi Beach and Chania
@@nerdgasmicadventures8700 Great. Thank you. I will be there in December.
Hi it’s me Manoel
Hi Manoel! I hope school is going well!
@@nerdgasmicadventures8700 school is going great! I have a 92 in math🥳
That's awesome! Keep it up. I know you can and will.
In the last two years I have driven quite a bit in Crete. Once you are used to it, all is good. I’m pretty sure I have been on the roads in your video. The roads through the mountains, with all of the turns, are great fun to drive, constantly changing gears. But I would agree with your tips. The shoulders of the main roads are treated as lanes, and stop signs are just suggestions. You do have to drive forcefully or you will never get anywhere. Most important of all, is to remain alert at all times, and keep your head on a swivel. I do get the impression that Europeans are generally more skilled behind the wheel than us in North America, simply because they are driving on tight winding roads and do so with manual transmissions. But they are aggressive. But as I said earlier, once you get used to it, all is good. Oh, in addition, do not stay in the passing lane like many of us do in North America. People will get really angry with you. And learn how to use your signals in a roundabout.
Yeah, drive cautiously aggressive. I think how aggressive they are depends on which country in Europe you are in. I haven't found them too aggressive in England, Sweden or Germany, but the Mediterranean countries it is very true.
I'm going to drive for the first time in the US soon. From Oralando,Ccocoa beach, miami beach and to key west. I'm from Norway and to me, it looks like driving in the US could be a bit more intense? Any quick tips? 😊
European drivers are well-trained, US drivers aren't. Drive defensively, in Florida and elsewhere drivers aren't always thinking about others. If you are cautious and attentive you can avoid most problems. Be patient, let others take risks.
@@nerdgasmicadventures8700 Thank you for the advice. I will keep that in mind. I do hear from other americans admitting that amercans are bad drivers. Is this really true? Don't look that bad IMO. Liked your video about driving in Norway btw. Good work.
There are a lot of great American drivers, but there are so many bad ones that it's hard to say that Americans are good drivers. Thank you for the compliment on the Norway video, it is a bit outdated as rules were changing at the time I created it. I would love to go back soon, but next summer it looks like I'll be in Greece and Croatia for part of it and an Around the World trip for the other part of it. Europe is my favorite though.
The advice to have cash or credit card for tolls is utter nonsense, you CANNOT pay any public toll roads with this, only a few small, private roads in the mountains. BTW the same is now also true for most car ferries, they use the same electronic tags as the road tolls.
Yeah, this video is over a year old and my information then was that cash was still king, which was true when I visited a few years ago. Things do change and Norway is going towards being cashless, so this is progress. Rental cars all have the electronic tags now and it is usually a part of the rental agreement. This wasn't the information I had when creating the video.
Hi Mr houk

I wish you were one of my sixth grade teachers
Hi mr houk
Is that Japan? I've always wated to go there!!
It is!! I am missing you guys. Hope you're doing well in school!
Hitachi
Absolutely beautiful to drive in Wales. 60mph is waaay too fast for most roads, and it doesn’t mean you should. You’d have to be really “on it” to do 60. Take your time, enjoy the views, engage with the road but respect your passengers and other road users - pedestrians, dogs, families, kids, sheep, horses, tractors and machinery, roadworks, etc,
Late reply here. I couldn't agree with you more, too many tight turns, no shoulders and the roadways are often narrow. Here's the contrast, in the US we often have speeds listed too low for the place we drive in. There is a 6-lane roadway near me with a barrier separating each direction, mostly rural, and the speed limit is 45mph. It's ridiculous, everyone drives 60-65 because 45 is just naturally too slow.
Can someone mention the NAME OF BEACH AND VILLAGE we saw in video in last 5 min.I loved it. wanna buy a property in this VILLAGE with BEACH
This is on the Peljesac Peninsula in Croatia, there are two villages, one is called Loviste and the other is Viganj and they are both beautiful places.
This will make an amazing ringtone
On Ortega highway
Actually this is Greek National Road 90 heading heading east, just on the outskirts of Heraklion on Crete. It may look similar to Ortega, I don't know as I haven't been there.
Heaven haven is exactly right for these majestic monkeys. I would absolutely love to visit Monkey World, it's definitely going on my bucket list. The work you people do for these precious primates is just incredible. I have learned so, much about them through you guys and thank you for that... knowledge is everything! 🐒❤
I agree, the work there is needed. I went to another monkey park recently in Japan. If you wanted to watch that video here it is: th-cam.com/video/u85PmO4x7AA/w-d-xo.html
