Me and my family found driving a car so much better on all the islands even milos where there are tiny tiny roads. It’s just so much more safe, good ac, and parking isn’t as bad as people say.
HI Sebastian! amazing videos, thank you! we are going on a cruise in Sept to Santorini and we want to rent a buggy, can you recommend where is a good reliable dealer and able to drop on and off? I appreciate your help!
Assuming most of the islands have some big inclines, are there many automatic cars available to rent or would they mostly be manual? Being stuck in traffic on steep switch backs would be a bit of a hassle.
Hello S. I'll be in Santorini in March 20-23 And when I go to rentalcars website it says no cars in Santorini just in airport. Is this normal a this time of year? Thanks!
Yes, the international driver's license is for all vehicles. Dont know if you saw my video on "Driving in Santorini", there have been a few changes and some countries are no longer required to have an international driver's license : th-cam.com/video/f_LY6vt8s4o/w-d-xo.html
Would you be able to clarify the driving requirements for driving a moped in Greece? I am seeing conflicting info. Can I legally ride a 50cc Moped with an international B Class Drivers license at 20yrs old? (Certain websites state that requirements are 27+ and 6yrs driving experience required also?)
Each company has its own rules when it comes to age and experience, but the common rule for everyone is that you need to have a TWO WHEELER license, not just a car drivers license.
I have a question on a different topic. I have booked a tour of Santorini - they tour guide wants to be paid in cash. We are a group of 15 - so it is well over €1000. Not only am I uncomfortable carrying that much cash, but I'm not even sure how I would get it, my bank only lets me withdraw €200 at a time. A guide in Rhodes also wants cash. Is this normal? Do you have any advice on how to best get that much cash? Thanks so much - love your videos!

Hi! What do you recommendations for where to rent the mopeds?
Can you make a video series on Crete?
Great video 👌 Which companies do you recommend for buggies and mopeds?
Try Moto Manos
One thing you forgot, have the appropriate travel insurance, having an accident can be expensive for personal injury!

Yes there are many automatic cars to rent, they're a bit more expensive though.
hi...if we go to any night parties are there local transport available at all times and can we use rental vehicles if we are drunk?
I explain the bus timetables here : th-cam.com/video/mOq1q6_POVk/w-d-xo.html
And no drunk driving is not allowed in Greece.

Hey ! You should type "Fira" in the search bar instead of "Santorini", that will solve the issue.
We're American. Do we need an international drivers license in order to rent a car and drive in Greece?
Nope
Thank you so much for these details! Do you know if all of the rental places in Santorini require an IDP (for buggys and ATVs, as well as cars)?
Yes, the international driver's license is for all vehicles.

Coming for NOrth Carolina. Do we need international license for ATV and buggy rental’s
If you have an American drivers license, then you're good with that one for any type of vehicle in Greece.
What about bikes on the roads? Can you rent one and if so, how much does it cost?
No, dont get a bicycle in Santorini. Super hilly, long distances and no cycling lanes.
@@GreeceExplained Thank you very Much 😊👍🏻
can we use a bank debit card to rent ATV's? cause in Athens we need a bank credit card to rent a car.
I believe its credit card only also in Santorini.
@@GreeceExplained darn, we only have debit cards, and wanting to rent something other than a car, and we dont have moped license
Hello, do we need a driving licence for renting the scooter ?

Yes it's kind of a common practice in Greece.
We dont have too many pickpockets on the islands (unlike in Athens), so I wouldn't worry about it.
