How LLM Generated 3D Assets Look So Far

This video is an attempt to look at tools from 4 major AGI (really just LLM) services. There's many out there but I wanted to choose Meta, OpenAI, Google and Anthropic as they seem to be getting most of the hype currently.
I want this to be more of a snapshot of time as opposed to a predictor of the future, as no one really knows how good AI will get in the realm of 3D. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน

You might want to use a 3D model generator and not a language model
Valid point. I will say large perception of AI these days seems to be actually just LLMs so I was looking to test against the hyped tech and see where its limitations are at this snapshot in time.
Perhaps in future vids I can touch on this feedback.

@@Paull2 that's good to know! I changed AI in the title and thumbnail to be LLM instead, as to be more accurate.
you should try asking multiple angles of the same object so you can try to make a 3d model from photogametry.
As everyone else is saying these are LLMs + a lot of abilities are based on the prompt you give + regulations limit the ability of the public facing chatbot versions of the models

Thank you for this, I model in 3D as a career and was worried that it could already replace me but it looks very very primitive as of yet, I might be able to land a job before that

nice video! not to be too pedantic but none of these are considered AGI. They're LLMs (large language models) and the companies behind them certainly would like you to believe they're (close to) general intelligence but they're really really not.
as for the 3d mesh topic, there's other models out there that specialize in that which might give you better results (I'm sure you're aware and wanted to test LLM capabilities but it would have been nice to mention these and maybe even compare results for them)
all that being said I did enjoy the video 🤗
Totally agree with you. I feel like the general message from these companies is they are saying it’s AGI when really they are just good LLMs
I have seen some other niche products doing general asset creation. Do you have any in mind I should take a look at? Would love to hear about them.

@@mrbennelson I got Claude 3 opus to make one too. Claude made the best. Ask it to give you python script in a code block that can be pasted into blender.
@@shanehixson6706 amazing! I’ll have to try that out. I figured one could go a little deeper by using a side door script. I didn’t go that far here because I wanted a basic benchmark of the easiest, free prompt to give and just see if it’s possible to get some model of value. I’m sure in the coming years it’ll get better.
