Thanks for your help! I always watch your channel with my dad. I was confused on how to set up 6s battery charge settings. Watching your review on this product helped solved two of my questions 1. Regarding the battery and 2 about the product. Thank you brother !

After 9 months in this hobby I've noticed something about battery chargers. There is no last battery charger. When you get enough batteries, you either spend all day charging them on one charger, or you buy several chargers. The people saying a single channel charger should be your first charger.... wrong. Why limit yourself to a single channel charger? You're going to end up getting more batteries than you can charge on a single channel charger at once. You're also going to end up with different size batteries, so get a duel channel charger every time you buy a charger. That's just my opinion on chargers. I feel like I wasted money on a single channel charger. It works, but for about the same price I could have bought a duel channel charger, which is just 2 different chargers in the same box. Charging my 450, 520, 650, 850, 1100, 1300 and 1500mah batteries would go a hell of a lot faster if I had of bought a duel channel charger. This charger would work for that I suppose.

I have had this charger for a few months now. This is the first review that I have seen on it. I totally agree that it is probably the best charger that has been released lately. Independent controls are great but a bit "touchy". Love your channel, you are really ahead of the game and I have made many decisions based on your reviews, keep up the great reviews.

Not into the drone scene but looking for a good RC car charger and I think you cover this off well. The balance charge rate is important, this little unit has a balance charge of 1000mA which will help speed up final charging of the battery as learned in other reviews. I would say this is a beast of a charger for those looking to get started, particularly is you are hunting on Australian hobby sites. Many claim to have a big watt output but the balance charge is so so..

Been having trouble with this charger when trying to charge using DC input from my jeep. As the charging amps go up, the charging input voltage drops until it hits 11.9v and the charger stops charging and flashes a low input voltage warning.
The thing is I know the input voltage has NOT dropped. I have independently tested the voltage while the charger was on and it never dropped below 12.3v. With the engine running it never got below 13.2v. I have also double and triple checked by attempting to use the charger in 2 other vehicles, with no luck.
For whatever reason, the charger is reading a lower input voltage than there actually is, while charging. I can only charge one battery at a time, or at less than 8 amps total.
The other thing is that for the first couple months it was not like this. I could charge at a full 16 amps on one port, 6 amps on the other port, and my phone charging wirelessly on top, all without the engine running and without issue.
This problem started just a few days ago so I exchanged the charger and the new charger is doing it as well.

      You might have developed
a short/resistance in the cable your using to connect the charger to your car battery. Try verifying the voltage under load at the input point on the charger.

for me the ISDT P30 is the only one out there as it does 1500W. and the P30 delivers a charging current range from 30A to 50A....i fly big 700 helis so this 300w charger would be too slow for me. I would not be interested in the motor or servo test function either. The only problem i have with ISDT chargers is they claim you can update over bluetooth on your phone...well its best not chance it, many have like me and made a brick out of the charger, so always connect using usb to computer for firmware upgrade.

Get parallel charging board with XT60 connector. It will allow you to charge anything from 2S to 6S. 1S batteries however are like 1 cell in larger battery. You can charge them in bulk, connected in series. Connect connections between cells to appropriate balance connector pins. For safety reasons though charge only the same capacity batteries at once.

Not necessarily recommended but you can charge with caution LiPo's w/o the balance lead using the NiMH setting until it gets to 3v per cell. After that, switch back to LiPo and charge as normal. Keep an eye on it while it's charging, particularly when using the NiMH setting as this is kind of a work around which isn't recommended by the manufacturer. But it works.

You can pull up "dead" cell voltage with any laboratory DC power supply with current limiter. Charge cell with 100 mA current to 3.2V (it will happen quite fast). Then let battery to charge as usual. However results may vary. "Dead" cells often are already degraded so during use they will sag very fast, rendering all battery unusable.
