That was such a GOOD VIDEO! So informative to locals like myself who never go on public trans., but especially for tourists! I really do hope travelers have a chance to see this and feel more at ease when coming to Los Angeles. Btw, I loved how you FF through the flight of stairs while giving the viewer an opportunity to see what it’s like. Helping that man out was you’re good deed of the day!
Thank you so much 🙏. One of the worries that people usually have is getting to the airport on time here you're on a rail avoiding the freeways. It takes just under an hour and for less than the cost of a soft drink.
As a student I had to travel from LAX to Long Beach in 1979, we were on a roundtrip on Eastern Airlines (wonderful). Our cab driver took 40 $ at that time. The shuttle could have helped us a lot.
@@franz3091 Wow, $40 for 1979 that's steep. My cousin suggested making this video and it worked out being that I forgot my jacket on the plane and decided to make this video to and from the airport on the same day. I'm glad you found it helpful 🙏.
Well, hope, you got your jacket back. As a compensation for the expansive cabdrive Eastern charged just 369 $ for 4 weeks unlimited traveling throughout the States, Mexico and the Carribeans. We had a lot of fun, believe me. Once again, thank you for your nice video. It will definitly help if I am back in LA.
Good informative video that's short and easy to understand. Well done. BTW, once the LAX People Mover opens you won't need to take the shuttle anymore.
@@jcstravelfilms More likely late 2024. I can't wait. Also, once that happens, you'll be able to use the Crenshaw (K) line to get to the LAX People Mover too.

very informative video and will save this for my upcoming trip next year.. just wanna ask, I'm planning to stay around the Hollywood area and I saw that there's Hollywood Vine station.. May I ask if from LAX, will I be able to use the metro till Hollywood vine station? Or any other cheap options I can take?
Thanks for sharing this video. It looks like a great service. I didn’t realize that the light rail goes all the way to LAX, even having seen the trains thunder down the 105 freeway. It looks as if it’s possible to board a train as far away as Azusa (the A line) and, with a single stop at the Rosa Parks station, travel to LAX. I imagine such a trip would take at least 90 minutes to two hours.
Another option for the trip between the “C” (formerly Green) Line and downtown Los Angeles is changing at I-105/Harbor Freeway to the “J” (formerly Silver) Line which is actually a bus. This bus (also known by its route numbers 910 and 950) uses the Express Freeway Lanes and can take you to San Pedro (950) or to DTLA (both). It also continues through the city to Union Station and El Monte.
@@williamko4751 Metro rail lines A and E are subject to traffic signals from their approaches to Downtown until the tunnel entrance at Pico/Chick Hearn.
This was super helpful! Thank you for taking the time to do this. Just curious, if I lost my tap card (had one a lonnnngg time ago), is there any way to bypass that tap fee? Do you have to get the tap card, or can you just click to get the fare and show the receipt?
Thank you, very much appreciated. If you were going to take the Metro it would take approximately 1.5 hours from Hollywood and cost $1.75. And an Uber ride would take about .5 to 1 hour depending on traffic. And cost about $40 -$60.
From my experience they usually run anywhere from every 15 to 20 minutes. It also depends on traffic. But sorry I am not sure of the hours of operation. The Los Angeles Metro Rail typically runs from 4:30 AM-1:30 AM, but the schedule varies by line and day of the week.
Are you by any chance referring to Union station which is one of the biggest transportation centers in Los Angeles. If so, you would need to take the flyaway bus to union station.
@@thestrangeman069 Uber is not allowed to pick you up at the airport anyway. Even if you wanted to take an uber, you would take a free shuttle to a parking lot a little off from the airport, where uber can pick you up. Only taxis and paid shuttles can pick up at the airport.
@@yasminea7149 Thanks for the info. I did some more research and realized I would need to take the LAX It shuttle to the uber parking lot. I rather just take the shuttle to the metro. I need to get to Redondo beach after the airport, which the metro takes me directly there.
Too bad we can not just go to Aviation Station and take the shuttle (if they sell a ticket) without riding a green line. I know it is by design. LAX traffic is really terrible to drive in. We need to expand more metro in to Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside etc. New high speed train from LA to SD at least , maybe let private sector, if city/county cannot, do it like in Japan, will be great investment and huge time savers. Wishful thinking.
You could probably just buy a ticket... I don't think there is a rule that prohibits you from buying a ticket then taking the shuttle???..... I have friends that take shuttles from lax to the hotels. Then they take Uber from there. The shuttle guys never question them if they are staying at the hotel... BTW how long does it take the shuttle to get from Aviation to the terminals in lax?
I’ve saved thousands of dollars to choose to take public transportation instead of taxi service with tips. Thanks for your information.
