I love watching your Market Prep videos while doing my Market Prep, they motivate me to keep going, I don’t know about you, but after awhile I start losing my crojo after the 50th plushie. But seeing other market preppers like you is inspiring. So, thanks!
Girl I feel your struggle! I am trying to get 500 items made by April 5th. I'm a vendor at our rodeo that is 15 days long and I am panic making. I have 370 made so I dont think I will make my goal Your inventory is so impressive!
Yes and I have a market this weekend and the weekend after the rodeo. I might have packed myself tight this spring. Praying we both do very well this spring! @@reigningcharmz
Hello Karis, I just found you and now I must tell you that I fell in love with all your crocheted figures, especially with your little sleepy bear and the small green dinos. You definitely inspired me to try to crochet something other than loops. And now I'm off to watch more of your videos. I like your personality, how you think and talk. Have a nice weekend with your crocheted little friends. Greetings from Germany, Jutta
14:54 made me burst out laughing, this video is so great thank you for sharing! i really admire your work, i just started crochet and i don’t know much yet but im super excited for the journey :)
I hope your market goes well ❤️❤️❤️and I don’t think my hands would survive 😂 I’ve crocheted plushies in the past and I got tired and my hands started to hurt so quickly. I envy you for that ❤️😂
That’s a lot. But I’m so glad that you put this out. It’s a confirmation to me that it’s doable and I’m not just wishful thinking when planning to make inventory for the monthlong market that I want to be a part of. 🤭 By the way, I hope this helps with regards to the keychains. I attach them while putting the finishing touches of the toy. Example, I put the white specks on the mushrooms after closing it up, and attach the ring along the way. ☺️
@@reigningcharmz it’s time saving. Like, you attach the rings while putting the wings on the bees too. You just pass the yarn thru the jump ring a couple of times while securing the wings.
I think milliner’s wire would work well for those giant elephant ears! It’s the same wire that I use for my bucket hats to keep the brim from flopping down. He’s really adorable as is though!❤
I have my first market on the 20th and this video is extremely helpful! When you’re finished making something and tie it off how do you make sure it doesn’t come back out or come untied? That is the thing I’m most worried about since I have a few things where the excess yarn comes back out. Thank you so much for this video
How exciting!! And I make sure to overly secure things cause I worry about that too. After I tie off and I go to hide the yarn, I make sure to come out of a stitch and back through a few times and that helps keep it from coming loose. I hope that made sense ☺️
Hi👋🏾 I know this is an older video, but I just started making amigurumi last month. I have wanted to make bigger plushies for a while now. I watched a tutorial on enlarging patterns, but I didn't get it. I noticed that we use the same elephant pattern. I was wondering how did you enlarge it? Do you have a pattern or video, or can you explain it? Thanks so much for any help you can give. Great video 🥰
Hello! This tip is actually going to be included in my next tips and tricks video coming out next week, but basically you can alter a patterns size by increasing the yarn size and the hook size. If it recommends a weight 4, try a weight 6, and a hook to go with the weight 6☺️
Just found you! You have been very busy! Did you make the sweater you are wearing in the clip with the summer top? If so, can you direct me to the pattern please? ❤❤
Mini octos are great! And anything small that you can make quickly that everyone can afford is always a great place to start. Gummy bears, mushroom pop-it’s, mini bees, etc. It’ll give you more inventory, and more people will be able to afford them. Especially little kiddos who only have a little bit to spend ☺️
I price them based off how much in materials it cost to make and how much time it took to make. I try to aim for $15/hr on my time. I hope to increase that a little bit in the future ☺️
My business is registered as a sole proprietorship, but you don’t necessarily need it. The big markets will give you a sheet of paper explaining how to report your sales tax to your state under your personal name if you don’t have a business license. But this is what I know from Oklahoma. It’s important to check with your state and what their laws are cause every state is different ☺️
A messy craft room is the sign of a creative mind. Anyway that is what I tell myself when I look at my craft room
My cats start batting at the paper when it comes out of the printer 😂 silly cats we have
Haha yessss they are one of a kind😂
I remember watching your videos when you first started!! So proud of how far you’ve come!❤❤
