Another Goalie that we should look into is Connor Ingram from Utah. Yzerman drafted him in Tampa and look how good he did this year in Arizona/Utah and his contract is good
Cossa started slowly but was excellent this year especially down the stretch hes 6'6" excellent athlete so he was always going to be an extremely down the road, high ceiling prospect, which is why Yzerman took him over JW. And Augustine is not ranked ahead of Cossa.
@@Septembersmith9633 I'm not saying he is, but your argument wouldn't be enough as Augustine did just hold his own in a tournament with a lot of NHLers.
Where? The defense is really bad. No goalie can stop anything with this defense. They need an upgrade badly.None of the draft picks are game changers at least not yet.
My ideal line-up for Detroit 5 years from now: Connor Larkin Raymond Mazur Danielson Buchelnikov Soderblom Kasper Berggren Lombardi N.D.Nilsson Hanas Finnie ASP Seider Edvidsson (Anton)Johansson Buium Gibson (Albert)Johansson Cossa Augustine
That's 1 non Red Wing prospect. Would be insanely hard to pull off and would thing on a lot going perfectly. Also where is DeBrincat? ASP is a right D. Wallinder? I think you will need more fire power.
Nice episode guys! Don't think Ehlers or Necas gives you anything you can't get from Berggren, who will be a ton cheaper. Both Ehlers and Necas are very inconsistent wingers that generally do not play much D, same as Berggren at the NHL level. That said, I think in some combination of trade chips including Copp, Holl, Berggren, Veleno and Husso need to be marketed. In return, I would look at the likes of Eriksson Ek from Minnesota even if it means a deal sweetener draft pick beyond the trade chips. I would also look to sign Marchessault as a free agent. If they cannot land one of the three goalies you mentioned (Marksstrom, Ullmark or Saros), a one year deal for any of the top 5 goalie FA's will get you through the year. Just my 2 cents.
@GrindLinePod coming off a serious ACL injury he was/is one of the very best in the A, unbeatable in the playoffs thus far, and his only real hiccup all season was when Grubaur went down and he was recalled to sit for more than month in Seattle, due to Daccord's brilliant yet unsustainable stretch. that he was in the AHL most of the season is relevant how? My point is he's made it back, shown that he's capable of sustaining a high workload and should be in the conversation for low risk (shouldn't be too expensive/short term) high reward (assumes he's back to 100%) options.
Apparently the latest rumors circulating in Ottawa are that the Sens are gonna try to trade for Ullmark with Chychrun going the other way. Idk how tf that's gonna work though.
@@andrewminidis9776 I'm not even worried about that part it's if we can get a deal done and get him extended to a contract he wants (assuming probably around $8M) since he's a pending UFA which I don't think we can do.
@sens_outlook he already said he wants to stay on the east coast and preferably boston. He's not going to waive his NMC for a basement dwelling org lol

Augustine over Cossa is probably the recency bias when considering how Augustine did at Worlds.
How many AHL games experience does Augustine have?
Cossa is ranked ahead of Augustine in both rankings I viewed so not sure what these guys are talking about.
@@florida1289 not sure either

Unless we can find an upgrade at goalie, l wouldn’t make major waves this offseason. Stay the course. Young kids are developing nicely

You blew past Driedger, who was a workhorse for Coachella. He's much better than you think and shouldn't cost much for a short-term fix.
Played most of the season in the AHL though. Need a solid 1b.

So how many ken holland drafted players are left in the organization. Could've had necas and pasta

I feel like Boston should be looking for a center in a trade. Coyle is 32, and I don’t know how much better Zacha can get at this point.
@@MagicMan11130 they'll go after Lindholm imo
It doesn't. Ullmark has a NMC I'm pretty sure and he aint waiving that shit to go to ottowa 😂

The red wings won cups with the grind line. Oh by the way they scored goals and were not just checkers .Best 3rd line in hockey at that time.
Most important, get copp of the team.
Who do I hate more: Holland or Benn
Yes
Cool, you want saros.. good luck making this roster viable with that contract
Sam Reinhart? Right wing, playoff experience, goal scorer.
Gonna cost a billion dollars
Dude is going to get a 7 year deal at like 9 million dollars.
