    Watching you from Ontario, Canada. Love the way you do the reviews, I notice you are a rookie TH-camr with just 240 subscribers, wish you luck and make sure you review other electronics, new subscriber here.

    I suspect the 4K does a ton of compression to reduce bandwidth. I suspect the strong compression reduces the video quality down to about what you get with the 2K systems.

      I suspect that you're correct! Thanks for watching!

    My philosophy is to buy the best product I can afford, especially when it comes to security. I have 4 different Eufy models, which were selected based on their performance for the required task. I also went with two Homebase 3 to share the workload of 8 cameras. EUFY offers a great ecosystem, and so far, they have exceeded my expectations.

    Had this for 4 weeks and had to send it back, The batteries were at 58% on one and the other was at 20% after 3 weeks with solar on no way they would last a year. Motion detection was rubbish, the window cleaner cleaned my windows and it only picked him up twice in all the time he was there. don't go there.

      Geeeezzz that is unfortunate. We have had the S220 since July and have had the opposite experience. Never leaves the 90% range for charge(it’s summer here so that might play a huge factor) and overly sensitive(we haven’t figured out the whole AI thing so it’s constantly letting us know when people are passing by). But I can say, night vision isn’t the most reliable when it comes to clarity. It’s either really good or a huge miss and looks like a smooshed painting. With that said it works great for how we need it around the farm. 🤙🏾 hopefully you find a much better unit, brand, and product 🤙🏾

      @@ohanareviews My main problem was the motion range was only 25 feet and once you got them on the wall high enough so they could not get stolen the range to the ground ended up being about 15 to 18 feet and other cameras had much more range than this, plus I bought them in the sale both batteries were flat on delivery which I was suspect about, I think the unit may have been returned and repacked.

      Yeah I can see that being very frustrating. In my use case around the farm I dont have to worry to much about thieves, and if they do come around we have many POC that they have to get around and some extra home security features. Its also solid in the spot we have it in BUT those gripes you shared are VALID. And getting a repackaged product is not ok. I would be super annoyed and it wouldnt have made it very far out of the package. Hope you found something that works for your needs!

    Oh yeah, these are great until you pass the 1 year warranty date! We got all of ours in 2021. Worked great for 9 months. Then slowly started having issues. Fast forward to today, NONE of them work! Eufy doesn't give a shit either. Money literally flushed down the toilet. Mosr these 'reviews" get free product to show. Like salesmen for whichever product they're reviewing. Unless they state that they have NOT received the product for free, it's a biased sales pitch.

      Super sucks to hear about this. Also, I have NOT received anything from EUFY whatsoever (though if EUFY is reading this please feel free to send me some 😉) but I need to do an updated review stating my experience with the Eufy Doorbell which the battery is totally crapping out on me and dies way to often. 😭

      Is it wired cameras?

    • @ohanareviews
      @ohanareviews  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there, thanks for watching the video, both of these options are Solar Powered and do not need wires to actively run throughout the day with the built in rechargeable batteries. There is the option to charge your device up if needed with a USBC Cable. Beyond that it is wire free. Hope this helps. 😊

    I have 2 of the S40 and they absolutely do not recharge themselves, and they get at least 5 hours of sun per day. I turned one off for 4 says and it has not gone up a single percent.

    • @ohanareviews
      @ohanareviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats frustrating. Sorry to hear that. I don't have to much experience with the EUFY S40(S230) but I imagine its battery charging performance should be superior to that of the S220 being that it is a larger unit overall. Is it placed in an open area with no ways of solar charging interference during peak sun light hours in your part of the world? Till this day I have not needed to charge the S220 once with a cable and its kept above the 90% charge capacity.

    • @ohanareviews
      @ohanareviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, are you getting notifications all day long? Is it running none stop? My charge may also be thanks to the fact that I am not getting constant notifications from that unit all day long and only in specific areas I have set for notifications with the S220. Is it in a spot where a branch or something else is sending you false alarms throughout the day? That could also be another problem with the battery issues you're experiencing.
