    As a guy that knows all the music theory... This is surprisingly good. You're turning complex stuff into pretty basic, easy to understand things. Of course there's a limit to this, music theory takes you even further, but for beginners this is great. Well done maye

    Lost my shit when u said "I like to keep my notes close together"
    This is a good tutorial abt how to make chords when u dont know music theory, tho. Just pick a scale n guess notes randomly in the scale until u hear something u like! After u do this for a while, u will start to notice that certain patterns of notes sound the same. Eventually u will discover your own kind of music theory and it will prolly be the same as the regular music theory but hey u will feel very special and that's what is most important

      Music theory is important, but I can't imagine being this pained over the fact that technology is slowly rendering spending years learning your craft obsolete. Cope and seethe, you overgrown baby. If you felt so triggered as to come here to whine about it, the only one here that needs to feel special is you.
      This video is a basis for many people to get started learning music theory without being overwhelmed, but no, keep crying.

    Actually please make a mixing mastering and processing tutorial. It's something all people struggle with after learning the basics

    • @drkastenbrot
      @drkastenbrot 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      honestly, its just experience. the basic workflow to keep in mind hasnt really changes in the last 10 years. Try to get every instrument mixed properly, keep your bands organized, and make sure not to overuse "mastering". Mastering should not change too much about the sound except for making it louder, wider and maybe fatter. Something like a 6dB EQ adjustment shouldnt really have to happen on the master. But you will get a feeling for that with experience.

    • @aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa66
      @aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa66 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@drkastenbrot If that's the case you could say everything is experience. There is f.e. a lot of stuff you can use in processing to get mid bass to get out the the sub way and vise versa.

    without it getting in the way of the notes they are drawing out for their actual song.
    I never realized they draw the ghost notes on a completely different track so that
    way they're not actually in the way when laying out your notes and yet you can still
    see them. PERFECT! Now I can finally take advantage of this method.

    im impressed with how much i just learned from this 8 min video
    but my question is,
    1. do we always need chords/chord progression?
    2. how many things can use different scales?
    3. what do i have to do to recreate songs i hear
    heres what i learned
    you can put notes anywhere as long as its on the scale
    chords are like back up singers
    melody is the main singer
    bass notes are just...base. the root of your beat.
    not sure what progressive house would be

      I don’t know, if your questions are still questions that you need answeres for, but
      1.Yes, I would say you need chords for every Song, cause chords are the foundation of the whole track you make
      2.You can put literally EVERYTHING In a different scale, or better said: Everything plays in a specific key. Even a kick has a specific key that it’s in.
      3.Just try to imagine, how the separated parts of the song (Chords, Melody, Drums...) sound on their own and try to find the right notes for them by hearing (or with drums: Concentrate on the rhythm, and try to recreate it.) And you also can search on chordify (specific website) for the song you want to recreate, and it shows you key, BPM and the chords That are used in the original song. But the most important thing on everything you do with music, is having fun on producing and trying to solve the problems that come. And don’t give up, if something doesn’t work instantly. With having fun and being creative, you will get what you want to get.
      I hope my answer helped! Have a nice day!

      @@lucaheil yes they are still questions. I appreciate the reply! Unfortunately chords seem difficult. I tried using this video and I ended up with really creepy sounding music. I don't remember what I did. I'll try again

      @@Jojo2 And another tip: If there ia a specific frequency in the chords, that sounds bad, just try to find out which note it is and replace it. And to chordify: You can search every song there and it will say you things like A Minor, C Minor... But it also shows which notes are in this chords if you scroll down. And another video thats really helpful for making chords is the video about chords by vories. Just search for Vories Chords and youll find it. This video shows exactly the theory of chords, but in an easy way...
