I have used FL studio for 15 years and am an award winning composer and I have never known there was a randomize velocity nor a strum section in the piano roll lmao. Always learning!
As a new-ish producer / composer, but 40 plus years an avid listener, may I say that was one of the best sounding ‘take a vocal sample and …’ demonstrations I’ve seen. Thanks for this and your other stuff, it’s really a huge help to us amateurs!
I completely agree! The full versions of these tracks would definitely be a treat to listen to. The pro and expert levels definitely caught my attention as well. Keep an eye out for more music
I would "thaaaank" another 50-100 € if you can make a truly depressing song in dubstep/electronic style with a depressive hard hitting drop xD Some inspiration would be Lifelover- Brand (warning, Black Metal). The Chorus of Ellie Goulding - High For This (Skrux Remix) has some depressive vibes too imho...not kidding though!
Cool to hear the song was in swedish (antar du är svensk?)! I used to scream in metal bands so I don't mind it at all :D I'm not sure I would be able to do the depressive dubstep combo though xd And thx for the dono and sorry for the late answer, I didn't know how to find the super thanks comments until now lol.
can we just appreciate the fact that this guy made one of the best songs i've ever heard... I love making music, its a passion of mine. But dude i wish i was anywhere near your level.
I know this is more about producing, but any time I want to make something sound emotional without sounding cliche, I almost always hit the circle of fifths, usually arpeggiate it and just build around that. Truly just such a beautiful sound. Harmonic minor can also sound more emotional than dark if you can use it right
I see so many yt videos yet I never miss these type of breakdown videos "Noob to Expert". Never stop making such videos. I always get something new from such videos.♥️♥️
This guy helped me learn so much more about music than what I already knew! And ive barely been making music for 2 years. You are such a big help Memphy!!
Love your content! I still don't get how you make such amazing tracks, with not a lot of obvious effort. It would take me months just to come up with a melody, let alone produce such unique tracks!
Bro, Memphy, you are extremely skilled bud! *I certainly do not consider myself an amateur* (cause 10 yrs of FL, 15 yrs of self taught piano @ 22 yrs old). But holy crap brother, this was a beautiful arrangement!
This is amazing... Did you notice the dot of letter " i " comes later to emphasize the importance of "DETAILS"... I mean... This video is full of creativity... Love this....
I think I'm somewhat of a level 3 producer according to your video, but imo you can go beyond that and have like 5 more extra levels of insanity but goddamn seeing how you show the noob process really takes me back to my old days, and ngl they were amazing 😍
Super Beitrag mit Video. Informativ und Beispiele sind einfach real. Hast Du gezeigt die Kulissen.Das ist einfach, heute Musik zu komponieren und produzieren. Natürlich man muss haben hahaha bisschen Wissen mit Spass.Alles Gute.Wow.
Bro you really took us on a journey with this. At the end of the noob one I felt like there's not much more you could add, then I said the same thing after being amazed by the Pro version. But the crispness and atmospheric punch of the Expert had me floored. Excellent!!!!!
Velho eu sou brasileiro, eu gosto muito do estilo de musica gringa. Voces ai sao muito diferenciado do estilo de musica aqui no Brasil, amo ver seus videos mano parabens + sub
All seemed really good but I personally think the rythm in piano chords in the pro version clashes with that of the vocals. I think it would sound better if the top 2 notes of the strum were either played 1 16th note earlier to further emphasize the accent of the vocal OR 1 16th note later to give the piano it's own pop, make it sort of serve as a snare and complement the vocals in that way.
Beautiful! Sounds amazing! In the piano reel (where you can put out notes) you some times do a thing where you can preview the sound. Your mouse looks like a "speaker" and I guess you just click the chord. How do you do that?
tbh I like the first one more than the others, but i guess it's just because the pro and expert levels sound more "generic" (to me) despite having a lot more detail, and the noob level is simple and nice. But of course, I know nothing about music really, I just listen to what I consider different in some way
you like more the noob one, cause the first one is the only one who can be considered music. others are just a showcase of a producer skills that does nt fit in the music. I also like the first one more. I guess sometimes less is more. Also a guy a long time ago said "music is the spaces netween the notes"
Been watcNice tutorialng your vids for a good few weeks now, learning new sNice tutorialt each day. my worksoftow has improved so much since watcNice tutorialng
May I know where I can download the vocals along with the adlibs please? Is the vocal copyrighted? I can say that your tutorial worked. It made me emotional and brought me back to my lowest point. Great stuff, supergeneral.
I found them on Splice. It's from the "Dylan Matthew" sample pack. It's royalty free so you can use it and monetize it on streaming services. Appreciate u watchin!
Expert level music gives me jonas blue type vibe. It's so awesome. You are a great talent bro, I'm working hard to learn bit by bit from you, love all the way from India.
The second part of the expert drop feels like it needs more energy, more layers, maybe formant shift the vocal chopping and build the strings and pads, possibly add tremelo to the chords to add excitement?
I don't know how many times I watched this video... Also don't know how many times TH-cam recommended me to watch this... TH-cam wants me to cry I guess :3
First and foremost your thumbnail is fucking hilarious. On a serious note you are so skilled, and your videos are tremendously entertaining and helpful. Thank you so much
I mean pro level is actually quite good ! currently watching, can't wait to see the expert result. Edit : yeah that's details but it does a big difference. It shows that actually, it wasn't that clean before. Anyway really cool overall video thank you !
Super awesome, in general I'd say, soft strings raise the emotional tension when used as a pad, but in this case, it wouldn't quite fit the genre, so well done :)
I learnt so much from this guy. The problem is that I forget it every time I boot up FL
Same here but I use garageband for IOS

appreciate all the work you put into your tracks and videos, hands down some of my favorite content on the interwebs rn
