Thanks again. I'm glad to see you putting emphasis on needing to plan ahead on how you want to display the model.

WOW Justin! You really put energy into this video. But.... this is not for everyone. It takes a lot of discipline to keep this organized. This is a nightmare on my big projects but I will give it a try on my next project. At the moment I am "in the flow" with my current project so I will not interrupt it. Greetings from the Netherlands!

Hi Willem - this workflow is specifically for if you're going to generate plans from your models in layout (though I suppose it could be helpful in other ways too). I'm not sure it would be necessary for what you're doing because you don't seem to be generating 2D plans. Thanks!

Hey Justin nice video. I appreciate the explanation on layer and scene organization. I have always tried to organize my models but it seems the bigger they get the more unruly my organization becomes. I know your just starting out with the Layout videos but you did mention line weights. Will that be coming out soon? And also, what would be the best way to insert a ground plain for the elevations? Should we do it in SketchUp or just draw a box in Layout? Thanks again.

Should be sometime soon - not sure exactly when yet. I'm not 100% sure on the ground plain either - I'd say if you have some kind of topographic data, you'd want to import it in SketchUp using an extension like TopoShaper to create your surface. If you're just looking for a simple line, drawing it in layout would probably be ok. Hopefully this helped!

How would you add wall hatch to the layout of the floor plan. Is there a way when you move walls in a model that is will move/adjust the hatch in the layout?

.how to change layer color (layout).
it is important for me because ı export from sketchup layout to autocad(Organizing)
I know the export option is available within.(layout)
