Yes they do. Dear gods, they have made that house utterly useless for players, especially on Switch. That house needs to continue upgrading the outside. We are the RULER of this valley; WHY does Remy have a mansion and we live in a townhouse?!

That really doesn’t phase me very much. I really wish they’d allow us to change the outside appearance of the house to something better than the very rustic view

I'm most likely just gonna do 3 floors. Doing 1F as the actual house, 2F as themed rooms, and 3F as a random trophy/collectable museum for the event stuff. What's their reason for 20 floors, do they plan on many years of content/expansions or maybe turning your house into an apartment complex for new characters.

I wanted to max out my house thinking there would be an end to it. Now that i know there isnt im just gonna make like two floors then move on to other things.
The real question is why would you need any more than two or three floors that's just crazy having 20 floors and this is coming from a person that loves decorating lol

External house skins discussions aside, I think what would be a use case scenario for the 20 floors would be when multiplayer becomes available.
We can have each floor assigned to each player so that they can store their stuff in it (heck, maybe even 3 guests per floor for each room) It'll literally be a hotel!
I can imagine with some people’s houses becoming so intricate and cluttered with stuff that it’ll mess up the frame/refresh rate so badly especially on the switch… if they’ve learned anything from Animal Crossing New Horizons!!!
@@janelle_beans Since the rooms are separated by a loading screen and loaded individually, maybe it might take some load off the system. But yeah, if the players keep crafting and placing stuff everywhere, it has to be stored somewhere in the actual memory and might cause lag 🤔 Guess we really need some Disney magic here 🤣

You can change the exterior. And you can move your house
bought up to the 9th floor just to realize and ask myself, “why am i throwing away money”
At one point in the game money doesn’t matter. Especially farming pumpkins. Go throw that money away! lol
@@asharp117 But you can make more with canola. in the time it takes to grow one pumpkin round, you can grow 7 rounds of canola. 664 (per pumpkin) versus 763 (per 7 rounds of canola) for the 4 hours. Canola wins. Yes, you have to water it a lot more in the time, but that only levels you more, so I see it as a benefit. You make 2.4 times your investment back on pumpkins, but 4.3 times more from your investment from canola. Pumpkins are only preferred by most, because you plant once and only need to water like once, then you can spend your time doing other things.

@@donovan1345 I plant and harvest my pumpkins at the beginning of my play time, and do canola right after multiple times! So both is definitely the winning combo for me!
Hahaha that's such a bummer. I stopped at 4th floor when I realised the game isn't giving us a much bigger house. They really need to change this in the future or else it's gonna be so lame.

Honestly I just want to hit the point where the Scrooge sign goes away out front because I'd hate having all the empty rooms I can't furnish fully or know what to do with.
I did max out mine, but kinda regret it, bcs now I have too many floor I dont need. I'd prefer if the floors were bit more wide rather then going high xD

Wonder what devs were thinking 20 floors is just to much I’d much rather have 6-8 with rooms double or triple the size and be able to alter the interior of each room like in animal crossing new horizons dlc. Also maybe add a farm shed and greenhouse outside your home but act similar to your home where you get new rooms but in different buildings. Definitely hope for custom home exteriors I’d love a edo period Japanese house.
Is the reason why your house not boarded up because the windows and doors, count as landscaping? And not furniture? I was told the outside has 0 improvements yet..?
You can have it more glorious than the castle. But just think all you can put in those rooms. More glorious than Tom nook can handle.😂

to think that is just the cap for now. By the looks of the blueprints there is a possibility for two more rooms per a floor.

The more you level up, the more cosmetics you unlock. There's Celestial wings you get somewhat early, but the Thorn wings are one of the last things you unlock.

Do the Upgrade outside of the house 3 Times and you will get it
