Bro I have been working for a month trying to figure this out, I knew there wasn't nothing wrong with 3 brand new different receivers, two brand new ESC, plus changed the steering servo twice!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you brother, I'm in tears honest to God, Ill tell you why, my little brother gave this 1/16 Traxxas rally then he died just 4 months later!😢😢 I can't really talk about him without crying!!!
EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!! THANKS!!! I can't believe that information was not in any of the paperwork with an almost $800 dollar product. What's evn worse i called trxxs and they wanted me to ship it back to them to fix aftr i told them what it was doing. Right out of the box it only had about 8 rides b4 it would ONLY steer left and wouldn't respond to throttle what so evr. 🤬 Thanks to this video I'm not mailing it to wait 2 or 3 weeks to be "REPAIRED"!! SMH
My sons Slash vxl 4x4 went into full nuts mode today. TQI started flashing red so I replaced the battery. Thought it was fine. Then I lost steering or barely turning. Then throttle started sticking. Then I remembered this video. Voila! Problem solved. Thanks Mark. BTW, saw the new 1/16th Slash 4x4 today at my LHS. Will be looking out for your review on it. Thanks again.
Oh man this was a life saver! This fixed 3 major issues on my e revo vxl 1/10 after trying everything else: Problem 1: when slowly pressing the throttle, steering would slowly turn left before the drive motor kicked in and then continue but only when the multi-function knob ( my knob was programmed to adjust TSM traction control) was anywhere above zero. PROBLEM SOLVED PROBLEM 2: throttle not responsive until about 1/4 movement in either direction. Model would then jerk forward or back violently as the motor engaged. PROBLEM SOLVED! Problem 3: after turning, then releasing the steering knob on the Transmitter, the servos would bounce when returning to straight causing the steering to bounce or shudder for up to 10 seconds. PROBLEM SOLVED! Thank you Sir!

Your the best. My rustler has been down for almost 2 weeks trying to figure this out. My throttle was turning my wheels. My steering wasn't turning but my trim was Making it turn. It was all jacked up but im outside at 3:20 am testing it out and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks
BIG Thank you man for sharing this!!! Bashed (did hit a curb sideways a few times) my Traxxas Maxx and all of a sudden the steering servo would slowly turn while i accelerated by it self. Once you stop it auto corrects itself. Rested with your video as guide and boom fixed. Still curious why or what happened but just glad to be bashing again. Keep it up man
I bought a new TRX4 79 Blazer two days ago, and out of the box, the steering servo would wander to full left or right lock over long enough distance, the wheels wouldn't center when releasing the steering control, and steering trim wouldn't hold center; it'd require full deflection in either direction to temporarily center the steering. I thought it was a bad steering servo, but noticed it would give inputs as I changed orientation of the truck while holding it, so I thought it might have a gyro, which led me to many articles and videos about the Traxxas Stability Mangement system. Lots of sites said to buy something that'll allow the controller to talk to an app on my smartphone to diagnose it. I was on the verge of buying a 6 channel receiver and running the TRX4 with my Spectrum DX5C, but doing the master endpoint reset seems to have completely resolved my steering issues based on a brief test run in my living room. Before, even inside, the front end would be wandering all over. This video is extremely simple and effective. Thank you for sharing this great information! I would've been chasing this problem and replacing parts needlessly for a while had you not made this video.

I was looking for this since weeks. I got mad because i couldn't find one single good suggestion how to solve in any forum. After i've found on traxxas support video and i've solved, after i've seen your video also. I suggest you to modify the video adding "No reverse FIX" . That was how i was searching on youtube to solve the issue. Thanks a lot
just want to toss this out in case anyone came here with the same issue I had. TQi endpoints wouldn't set, led to strange steering behavior, and setting the endpoint would force the steering further beyond the point I was trying to set. Turns out, if you've reversed the steering (some aftermarket servos, like savox, require this) you need to "un reverse" the steering (set it to factory behavior) and then you can set the endpoints... and THEN reverse it so you get the correct transmitter behavior. Took me all day to sort this out, hope it helps someone.
I did this and now can't get TQI to bind with any of my cars properly. They will connect but the throttle is all over the place...my E Revo tried to run off on me!
I’m trying to fix an Xmaxx for a friend, I’m not very familiar with them however I’m wondering if the ESC is bad. I performed the steps outlined for setting the throttle end points by holding down the power button until the light turns red. Registering full throttle (two blinks) then registry for reverse (three blinks) and then a domino of red lights appear on the ESC, Indicating that it registered correctly. Then after that if I pull the trigger it recognizes the action but immediately cuts off/powers down the ESC.Any ideas?
Mark Santa Maria , It’s running on to Traxxas brand 6700 mA for S batteries. The batteries are in great condition physically, and since I had them originally I put them on a storage charge. And also have recently put them on a full charge. No problems. Also they worked when I originally got it. Here’s the story of what happened when I originally got it on day one. Maybe it was at a little bit of light on what it could be. When I got his xmaxx, Day one, I turned it on to see what was going on with it and it ran but was only moving at like 3 mph. It only did that for a few minutes and then it all of a sudden got to that point where it stopped moving and when pulling the trigger the esc just cut off. So I almost feel like I might’ve fried some thing. Turns out the issue with why it was only going 3 miles an hour it was because one of the bearings inside of the motor exploded and jacked up the inside. So I was sort of forcing it to run. I’m hoping it’s a bad connector somewhere though. Oh… And the motor is brand new. Just arrived yesterday.
Well… It looks like I will have to buy a new ESC. Should I pick up another stock ESC, or should I switch to another brand like the hobby wing max 6? What are you running? If I pick up a hobby wing does that open up the options to adjust the punch setting for the X max?

Having an entirely diff issue…the steering wont turn when I press the throttle forward, but it works in reverse. It also steers when it’s fully stopped, but as soon as I push forward it looses steering and goes back to center…any help would be great thanks…
Hey man I have the Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 with the tqi top qualifier transmitter with a docking station on it for an iPhone every time I apply throttle it works but when I press the trigger forward for breaks the servo does not move unless I put it in 70/30 acceleration brake setting then it will apply a small amount of break do you know how to fix this just got this truck and want to drive it it's running and driving just not applying brakes

This is the little thing that traxxas has annoyed me , done my xmaxx servo on maybe my third run, got a high end savox and killed that in one hour. Least to say I was pissed. Went on line found the end point adjustment. ( thanks amain hobbies and Mark Santa Maria ) Now need another new servo. 🤬😡 side note xmaxx should have a true fifth scale servo , problem solved. There silly not quite right 5.75 and 1 8th point 34768 servo ( joke) they have done is crap ( so you have to get 2085x at 200$ or get the adapter with a regular size servo, more money. Which I feel isn’t big enough. And I haven’t even ran two full packs though it! Not good enough traxxas

East Tactics sounds like bad batteries. What batteries are you running?

Can you set steering end points with a tq radio? It only has a set button. No menu button.

My wide maxx does not reverse travel in linearly. When I reverse throttle it, it moves in a circular trajectory. Please help me fix this problem.

I got this revo 3.3 it won’t connect to the controller it’s brand new it use to connect && wiggle the wheels but it doesn’t anymore
