- This video shows how to reset your Traxxas TQ transmitter back to factory settings. The label on the bottom shows model 6516, 6517, and 3047.
If you don't want to watch the video, the steps are:
1. Hold in set and turn on transmitter (led blinks red)
2. Keep set held in for 10 secs (led blinks green)
3. At green led, release set button
4. Turn wheel left, press set
5. Turn wheel right, press set
6. Pull trigger full throttle, press set
7. Push trigger full brake, press set
8. Led will be solid green, it's now factory reset
9. Jump up and down with glee
After resetting the transmitter, you will need to re-bind it to the receiver. I would also re-calibrate your esc.

This is what I needed! My Bandit was having an issue where it wouldn't go forward when I turned the power on. Only moving in reverse and then going forward seemed to work.

Thank you for this, couldn't find it anywhere in any manual and my brand new out of the box slash 4x4 bl-2s had some really weird endpoints/steering rate where it would be full lock before I got to the end of the wheels travel. This seems to have cleared it up.

This video just helped again! Now my Slash has better acceleration because it's able to get full throttle, just reset my Remote's and recalibrated the ESC's on both my Bandit and Slash. Now they're as fast as my Rustler is! I wonder if this will work on my VXL stuff?

Hello i know this video is 2 years old but hopefully you can respond. So.my traxxas slash loses signal conection at short distance,will this help with that problem if i do this process?

Mlg Dank rc weird. I have a stampede and I even bent down the antenna and it goes pretty far. I would contact Traxxas and get a refund. Just have them send you that part if you bought it within a year I believe there is a warrenty

Does this mean, if when you’re turning the wheel left then right, if you were to NOT go max turn while doing each side, would that be the way to slightly limit your endpoint using this factory (non-adjustable) unit?
I did all tgis and when i barely touch the throttle it goes full speed..reverse and forward. All the lights are green..plugs are in 1 and 3..it just goes crazy..bo low speed at all.
I’m having an issue with mileage tracks remote if you barely touch the throttle it wants to go full throttle I did the factory reset and disconnected the batteries and put them back in the car and also back in the remote and did it all again and it still does the same thing
Fixed my servo locking out to the left when powering on and the problem with no forward power until going in reverse first. You just kept my Stampede from getting lauched!

you can't with this radio... so what i did was add some plastic pieces to the steering stops on the radio.

I’ve tried this factory reset because my sons car just randomly stopped going forward. Reverse and steering works fine I just can’t get it to drive forward. Any advice for me?

My son’s traxxas only accelerates if it he turns it left and right but trigger doesn’t work
I’m trying to fix an Xmaxx for a friend, I’m not very familiar with them however I’m wondering if the ESC is bad. I performed the steps outlined for setting the throttle end points by holding down the power button until the light turns red. Registering full throttle (two blinks) then registry for reverse (three blinks) and then a domino of red lights appear on the ESC, Indicating that it registered correctly. Then after that if I pull the trigger it recognizes the action but immediately cuts off/powers down the ESC.Any ideas?

I got an Spartan boat and they Traxxas factory said they fix it but when I put the boat in the water it wants to go slow and hum I done what they told me to do I Grease the bearing ect and flush the castle out and balance the two Batteries.
Would this reset also help with the radio sometimes not responding?

Hi My light stays blinking red way after 10 sec it don't turn green. when I turn on my controller the light flashes green I can run the car and after a will my car stopes working and the esc is flashing red?
Have an older Traxxas Slash 2WD (orange body) that blew the 12T motor. Put the newer VXL-3s esc and 3351r motor in there and now it won't recognize my controller outside of the steering wheel input, which controls both acceleration and turn right at the same time, but nothing else. I've gone through each Traxxas tutorial to bind and sync the controller and to calibrate the programming of the ESC. Nothing works. Ideas?
Hopefully you figured it out by now but if not Make sure the esc is in channel 2. It should be the 3rd slot up on the receiver. If not bring it to a hobby store

Mine is total reverse trotle is reverse and revers is forward. Left is right and right is left. Plus my backwards is like extrem fast. Forward is slower. Pls. Someone help
