    I use wilbur for generate rivers and huge landmass errosion. But I interested in QGIS after your video.

    A year later, but this in this quarantine I've found that working on a world-building project would be time well spent. I'm following this guide using World machine tiles to create some cool terrain, but have you figured out how to create water landscape (terrain past sea level into the negatives)?

      It's never too late to leave a comment! My numbers have gone up since quarantine for the reason you just described. Unfortunately, I have been using my downtime to write, and have more/less taken a break from GIS. To this end, I have not figured out how to model an accurate coastline down into the negative.
      I'm not 100% sure what you mean when you say "world tiles" but I think I get gist. (You're modeling swaths of land and piecing them together?) I have looked into coastline modeling before. From what I read, it requires substantial effort if you're not savvy with procedural generation. I was reading about a technique for fractal coastline modeling, so you may want to start there. It's the nature of the coastline paradox which is also a very neat read.
      I'm sorry I cannot answer your question, but hopefully this informs or directs your research in a substantive way!

      Same, world building. Finished university, studied Architecture, got good grades ect... But no work so got me world building haha

    So if I had a graphic tablet I could paint this elevation map. I think I will try if it results in a acceptable result. :D

      I tried doing that. I discovered you'll need really precise hue gradients which are consistent with what elevation you want. I would try making a chart of hue number relative to the hypothetical elevation desired. This allows you to model your landforms very precisely and consistently. You could always generate perlin noise in GIMP, Photoshop, or using some other app. Sounds way easier than doing it yourself imo
