Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar(R) winner Christian Bale ("The Fighter") again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar(R) winner Marion Cotillard ("La Vie en Rose"), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar(R) winner Michael Caine ("The Cider House Rules") plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar(R) winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") reprises the role of Lucius Fox. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on "Batman Begins" and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.
Love how Oldman cracks a joke, laughs, laughs some more, the he calms down and continues the interview, only to crack up at his own joke again mid sentence.

@@AnnaLVajda He is a pure Chameleon. As in the interview JGL said if you watch him in "True Romance" than in Dark Knight as Commissioner Gordon you feel like two different peoples. He have so much versatility.

This trilogy is just purely incredible. No other super hero movie is even close to as good as these movies. All the actors throughout the films did an outstanding job at their role.
They are good because they are not totally cheesy like most comic book movies are but they are still sort of cheesy. It still is some rich guy dressed up as a bat.

2:40 That's true. I've been watching a lot of Gordon-Levitt movies and yes, he just become character. There are many marvelous actors but they are always themselves. I'm not complaining. Joseph doesn't make faces, get thin or fat. But whe you watch him performing all you see is the character. Great actor! Just like Oldman.
I admire everything Christopher Nolan has done for the Batman and the whole The Dark Knight trilogy and he is a talented director :) . Gary Oldman is so brilliant when he plays James Gordon and he is one of the best things about the movies and the villains Scarecrow, Bane, The Joker and Two Face . Christian Bale is great too as Batman !

i went and saw TDKR last night and i absolutely LOVED IT!!!!!! In my honest opinion, i thought it was better then the Dark Knight and it has tied with the Avengers for the top spot on my list all time favorite movies. This was DEFINITELY a satisfying conclusion!!!

It's surprising how much of Batman has English components. Christian Bale, Sir Michael Caine, Gary Oldman are all English and even the Batmobile was made in England. I mean yeah Alfred yeah but Bruce Wayne and Gordon...never would've guessed...not to mention Bane is also played by an Englishman....

I was at the midnight premiere in St. Louis. words can not describe the awesome greatness of this movie. those two words aren't even good enough. This was the best movie I have ever seen.

Batman 89 is a great film but doesn't compare to the newer films and certainly not The Dark Knight.
Of course it was done in comics before, it was done in the first two films aswell.
Hate the way the camera moves from one of them to the other. Why don't just show both of them in the same frame? What was wrong with that?
The Avengers was awesome, but it was by no means "good film making." It's booty cheddar of the film industry. I still love it though.

That's really one dimensional of you. Something that Nolan is not. And this is not just my opinion, a lot of people share this.
The end of TDK. Batman runs away, takes the blame and becomes The Dark Knight. TDK appears on a black screen.
In TDKR. Robin rises on the platform, in the Batcave to take over the role of the masked hero. The end, with TDKR on a black screen.
Batman is not a man, but a symbol in Nolans movies.
Joseph is Robin (two Robins in one) in TDKR. He has now something more.
Two of my favorite actors. JGL is incredible.
