ABOUT LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O’BRIEN
Running from 1993-2009, Late Night with Conan O’Brien is one of the most beloved late night shows in television history. Dude he threw a total spoiler with the "I'm driving the swat car" thing there, good thing I watched this interview 15 years later lol
I thought it's recent interview
@@Asma-1743 it says (Original Air Date: 7/14/08) right there
A minor spoiler only if you saw this interview and then went and saw the movie with this still in your head. He quickly changed subjects to the first movie where he actually drove the batmobile.
he is such a good actor that he even acted funny in this interview. he knew the caliber of the show he was on.
He’s just been english
"i think people are getting jaded with cgi" - conan, 2008
man, if he only knew that was the beginning lol
Yeah, but actually the dark Knight is full of CGI especially the truck and chase scene...like almost all shots have very well-hidden CGI elements. I know because friends of mine worked on the movie. It's just that when it's well done they are hard to spot (but if you think the batbike cannot possibly stop and go up a wall and turn around, you can guess it's digital :). )
Oldman is in my opinion the greatest actor ever..he becomes his characters in every part of the way. His big body of work ($11 billion) proved how much range he has and i love it❤
Gary Oldman is the epitome of a "method actor" and will be perceived as one of the greatest or greatest actors of all-time!
@@antoncarmoducchi6057Daniel de Lewis does method acting he is British
Can tell Gary was having a fun time on the show
Hard to believe this was 15 years ago...and Conan was on Late Night and nothing would ever change
It's recent not 15 years
@@Asma-1743lmfaooooo did you even watch the video, Conan just saw the dark night in theaters the night prior to this interview.
@@Asma-1743 this interview is from 2008
His role in True Romance is gritty and unforgettable really
@1:20 he gave away a YUGGEEEEEE spoiler lololol
One of the greatest. So many iconic movies, the list goes on and on. Yet, for some reason he doesn't come to mind that often.
A lot of actors out there. You're going to need a reminder from time to time
One of the best and most underrated actors in my lifetime
Gary Oldman is a young man
-Norm Macdonald
Henny Youngman is an old man.
@@weekenderTonePaul Newman too
Tom Waits while Jeremy Irons
This man looks fantastic for his aige! I will always love him as Dracula! ❤
YES!!
I cannot believe that character and Gordon are the same actor. Both films involving bats hehe.
Side note: there was even a Batman vs. Dracula animated movie.
My favorite Dracula and his performance! Those years in the 90s! ❤
Yes❤
In the role of a lifetime, Gary Oldman.
Tiptoes.
7:00 "He does that."
One of the many quotes from the movie that everyone knows today. :)
One of the finest actors in the history of Hollywood. I’m a huge fan of everything he’s ever done. Carry on, sir!
In Leon he was really scary, one of the best villain in movies
I really enjoy with his acting in Sid and Nancy and Leon. Gary is brilliant actor!
What a legend.
Oldmans Drexl Spivey from True Romance and Norman Stansfield from Léon The Professional will always be my two favorites.
EVERYYYYYOOOOOONNNEEEE!!!!
"State of Grace" OMG. Talk about intense!
I love him in Dracula
Yes❤
One of the best James Brown impressions ever!
Damn.. what a pleasure to watch these two interacting to each other
One of my favorite roles of his was Shelley Runyon in The Contender. His subtlety was mesmerizing and his chemistry with the awesome Jeff Bridges was just off the charts. Bravissimo
Talented actor!👍
Yeah... watching The Dark Knight in IMAX was a great experience!
I really wish Gary is coming to the podcast! Being a big fifth element geek and prop enthusiast, i would like to hear if Gary is still making all sorts of movie props from all kinds of films.
The. Best. Actor. Ever.
Yes❤
Hes the complete package as an actor. If theres any better chameleon whi disspears in characters , its DDL but THATS it .
As always Garry Oldman is Amazing Actor 💪
Man I never thought I would see Gary Oldman do a James Brown impression. all win
When you google Gary Oldman, make sure you don't forget the "r".
"EEVVVERRRYYYYYONE!"
Love him
The Dark Knight looks like it's going to be quite good. When is it out again?
This Dark Knight movie sounds great.... does anyone know when we'll be able to see it?
Love how he said no there not much CGI on Dark night the shots in the city and tunnels
He looks like Sam Rockwell here.
Why am I seeing his purple shirt and instantly, I get a thought - he could act the Joker role.
1:19 he accidentally spoiled his fake death here
Dana Carvey may be just another Gary Oldman character 🤔
Wait….🧐
Was just thinking this lol!
Drexyl was my favorite just for the lampshade scene. He was also the best Dracula 🧛♂️ Also unbelievablely sexy❤
He is amazing in Leon:The Professional.
It's so simple. You see Gary Oldman, you CLICK Gary Oldman.
The audience has not seen The Dark Knight nor does it know who Christopher Nolan is, yet.
He did make The Prestige and Memento before this...
Already had watched Batman Begins and The Prestige by this point, and witnessed Dark Knight in IMAX at time of release. Inception, two years later, would establish his master filmmaker status. #ChristopherNolan #IMAX #70mmFilm
@@MMaRsu I know! Memento was one of his best
Ikr. He was renowned but between this and Inception, he became a legend
LEON! I want those meds Gary took before doing some crazy shit
Ah, this makes me nostalgic - just a few years later, iPhones and streaming would begin to make the big screen more and more irrelevant and then Covid swooped in and sealed the deal - even the nature of celebrity has changed, as actors are not the most popular figures today.
The perfect Jim Gordon
thats actually a great james brown impression..
"People are getting jaded with CGI" - Even back in 2008. Now, 15 years have passed, and most of us still gobble up the same trash in the cinemas, then buy the movies on streaming services and even buy memorabilia from them... I'm not saying The Dark Knight Trilogy is bad, but what's in the cinemas nowadays, what's advertised, etc. And it started to go shit around 2008...
Where's a phone booth when you need one
Gary Oldman is a young man, but Henny Youngman is an old man
I would kill to see Conan as Batman in a movie 😅😂
“Everyone”
Wow
Great actor, sub-par human.
Conan: Everyone is definitely seeing it this on Friday (July 18, 2008).
Me: *just watched it for the first time, along with the first and third films, four days ago (Batman Day) 😗😅 🙈
People always talk about Daniel Day Lewis. Don't get me wrong, he's great, but I think Oldman is better. Think of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Now think of True Romance. Now think of The Dark Knight films. Neither of those characters are anything alike. Physically, or verbally.
Drexel
Spoiler alert! 🙉
what's the film with a french actor and a girl.. hit man.. ??
he plays a nutty cop..
Yeah, he was in Leon. Another great movie. 😎
@@freemagicfun thankyou !
I believe it's called "The Professional", here in the States. Great film.
@@reychafamex9450 ..and thankyou too!
i knew people would help..
greetings from south wales, here in the uk.
@@reychafamex9450 Yes, it is. But I have never seen the US version.

Harry.Potter took 17 years to become a wizard. And was still mediocre!
Oldman was the best part of the Batman movies. But that devil dog growl of Batman was annoying. 😎
I loved it honestly, it was unnatural and really fit into how he just stood there with that fierce demeanour
Harry Potter is for feminists and homosexuals
The Dark Knight was great
Shut up man, seriously.
What the hell???? Harry Potter is for anyone who likes it, and that is at least hundreds of millions of peoople. Just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean it's for "feminists and homosexuals" only. I don't know where you got that silly idea.
Gary old man is fantastic! One of my favorite British actors of all time :)
