The following year Pleasureland abruptly closed (without ever using the zoo site) as the Blackpool-based operators decided it was uneconomic. As is clear from the drone shots, the former zoo site is still undeveloped some 16 years later.
@@nadiacharlotte5540 Don't talk shite. Slaughtering an animal by cutting it's throat without stunning the animal beforehand is cruel. Those animals at Southport Zoo were better looked after than any other zoo in the country at the time.
