Your family did a great job of running the zoo Jeremy. It was very sad that it was forced to close.

@@nadiacharlotte5540 Don't talk shite. Slaughtering an animal by cutting it's throat without stunning the animal beforehand is cruel. Those animals at Southport Zoo were better looked after than any other zoo in the country at the time.
Ironic that the Zoo's lease was not renewed by the local council (who were the landlords) as the adjacent Pleasureland wanted the space to expand. The following year Pleasureland abruptly closed (without ever using the zoo site) as the Blackpool-based operators decided it was uneconomic. As is clear from the drone shots, the former zoo site is still undeveloped some 16 years later.

Probably would be, it's just a shame how expensive it is - can be over £100 a chip! Not really cheap as chips!
