Dude, I can explain.
1 I'm sorry that we forgot to include the TRX4M battery adapter and 0.9mm screwdriver when we sent you the sample earlier. Our kits include these parts, so you don't need to worry about it anymore.
2 I noticed that you seem to have pushed both 2 switchs up, so are in 7.4V instead of 6.0V, which is why your 2S battery is not perforing well.
Yes. I actually did try 6V and 7.4V and it browned out in the first video. I came home yesterday and blew out the switches with an air gun. Jogged them back and forth 4-5 times while powered on, and it is now functioning properly. I have a new video coming out showing how to calibrate the controller and set the dip switches. Its working great now. Awesome product.
@@hyperc5249 Great! Glad to see the problem is solved.
I keep seeing people saying it must use FOC but being AM32 based it's probably a better assumption that it uses sinusoidal though.
Yes. I use the term FOC loosely. More as a function than a software. RPM matching.
I was under the assumption FOC program is just a fancy name for sine operation.
Uh... shiny thing go round and round. 😂

Appreciate your careful and detailed info and honesty. Hopefully a v2 version will fix this.
Thanks. It might be an easy fix. We will find out.
Guess ill be waiting until they work the bugs out.
I think I'm going to order the motor
Jeff from Injora answered to my comment on this motor’s page that they are planning to release higher torque brushless motor. Until that I won’t change my 180 87t / 370 45t for this, because heavy rigs mainly require torque, not the wheel speed.
Right. That's why I put it on my Tarantula build. It is a super light build with low gears. Perfect for this setup.
Great video. Thanks for the info.
You are welcome. I just fixed both of the issues. The new video is coming soon.
@hyperc5249 Thank you for your time Sir.
💯
NICE! definitely looks like FOC
I hear those small out runner motors run hot, really wish you took a temp 👍
I will be in the next video. I have kits of them. I have never seen any get to hot to touch.
Mess with the throttle trim/end points to resolve the connection issue. Had the same thing happen to me with the brushed version.
The issues on 2s are concerning. That's a bummer!
FOR SURE. Hopefully, it's an easy fix.
Instead of this release, injora should have listened to customers asking for 100% reverse on their brushed 2s-3s esc.
Been running zeee 650mah 3s 100c premiums in my furitek 118.fit nicely and have plenty of punch, with basically the same motor, esc.
I like Zeee batteries. I'm looking forward to getting the 3S batteries.
Exciting vid…thank goodness someone has made it possible for an easy pinion change. Will the motor mount fit up to the Ascent 18? When will this be released?
It says specifically for the TRX4M for right now. You can always retrofit it. It was released this morning.
@@hyperc5249 yeah that’s what I read. I saw another video where someone said those two (Redcat & 4m) match up perfect with the furitek I think. Now I can’t find the vid. Just wanted to make sure before I pull the trigger. Awesome unbiased vids. Thank you sir.
@FYRC15 Much appreciated sir.
Sweet 🤙
I didn't know it was a OutRunner I thought it was an end Runner but people don't realize a lot of the times that smoothness when it turns real easy means that the torque is just not going to be there you know you need to build a fill those magnets resist you from turning it
It's AM32, so it uses sinusoidal control, not FOC. It is fundamentally different. Look it up. I'm waiting for v2 because the wiring is a freaking disaster. They are treating the mini/micro system like a 10th scale and that just doesn't work. The ESC is also large for an AM32 unit. I think I'm more excited about the motor, motor plates, and pinions being sold separately.
Yes. I use the term FOC loosely. More as a function than a software. RPM matching or resistance calculation.
Totally agree with you
I thought I heard that it was like rated for 3s and up
2-3s I got the 2S problem fixed. New video coming soon.
Yeah I’ll be sticking with furitek

What servo do you have in there and what bec setting?
LOL The INJORA 7Kg waterproof servo.
I wonder if this would bolt up to the MEUS racing two speed? I am currently running this trans in my 4m high trail.
It should be the same pattern.
also do you think it will fit the redcat ascent 18? as think they can use same motor as the traxxas or will the included motor mount be the issue on the redcat?
We will find out. I just got it yesterday. I'm sure it can be retrofitted. I have swapped Furitek kits with minor modifications. I'm sure they will release one for the Ascent 18 soon.
the dip switch on esc change battery size i believe
I will check that out. It didn't list that in the instructions. I just double checked and it doesn't list what the second dip switch does. Most ESCs don't have to be preset for 2S to 3s. It just runs slower on the smaller battery. Strange that it doesn't list what the other switch does. Thanks for the tip.
Does the motor also can fit in a Hobby Plus CR18 P ?
With slight mods, I'm sure you can get it to work.
Would the stock esc from the ascent 18 work? Or would you have to upgrade that?
The kit comes with a new ESC. The Ascent 18 ESC won't work with a brushless motor.
Would the new one work with the stock controller?
So did you set it to the lower voltage when using 2s on the switch or just leave it in 7.4?
I switched it to both in the box stock video, and it still had the issue. I came home yesterday and blew out the dip switches. Then I jogged the switch back and forth 4-5 times with the power on, and now it is functioning properly. 6V 2S 7.4V for 3S.
@@hyperc5249 good to know this is a system I’m looking into
It's awesome.
I ordered mine last might won't be here until july 8th
When you were having the brownouts was the BEC set to 6v or 7.4?
Both I switched it off camera, hoping that would fix it. It didn't make a difference.
This is what I was wondering too.
@DanPRC I tried it on both 6 and 7.4
@@hyperc5249 Ok. Was that a stock traxxas servo or something stronger? Just curious although it shouldn’t have mattered.
@DanPRC Injora 7 Kg waterproof servo.
Which 3S batteries did you order… need some small 3S batteries anyways
Hard Park Crawlers
TATTU 850mAh 11.1V 75C 3S1P Lipo Battery Pack with XT30 Plug(2 Pcs) a.co/d/0gwD6XuB
is the esc set at 3s ?
As far as I know it should except either. That told me it was programmed correct out of the factory. Most ESCs you don't have to program for a specific battery size it just runs less powerful on the lower battery.
Brownouts are from the servo drawing too much power hey?
I'm probably going to get one of these for my spare Tarantula chassis. I have everything I need except for a receiver. I don't even need the motor, but that faster top speed is appealing. I would run mine with speed gears and hope it doesn't cog on a crawl. If it does I suppose I could swap gears.
I'll tell ya one thing, it is unwise to plug chinese things into your computer. It's a very bad habit. I strongly suggest not doing that.
Haha. Good advice! I do believe it is the servo. LOL its there 7Kg servo.
@@hyperc5249 oh wow. I didn't think that servo had that much draw. Maybe there's more to it than just that. I'm a real simpleton when it comes to electricity and wiring.
@@BroncLander I didn't either. It's definitely something that needs to be addressed.
Whats miasing is what the program card says so making so many conclusions including those in the comments is not fully informed
I was told by Injora that it was completely programmed from the factory. I will do some testing this week.
