sir, I haven't always had that fancy boat. if you go back at my videos you will see I started with a very modest old bass boat and I learned by time on the water. the boat don't catch the fish the angler with hard earned knowledge catches the fish. Have a great season.
You can buy a hummingbird piranha for $89. And if you say you're a bank fisherman and don't have a boat, they make castable depth/fish finders that you cast out with your pole
Man i was born and raised in the meigs county area, i left before i ever had a chance to drag it with this method. But with the amount of snags i got bank fishing idk how this works in areas with high snags
But i will say we caught alot of flathead near the banks patrolling for bluegill. If i remember right because i was a kid it was around 10 pm to 1 am. Some of the best memories.
Pulling the tip up gets the bait about 4ft off the bottom. Most of those freshwater, round level swims reels have a 24” per crank retrieve so taking 3-4 more cranks puts you 10-12ft off the bottom. How deep is the hole?
Brother that ain't how things in the water work if your trolling it would stay there but if you're slowly floating it's going to find the bottom of the river I believe that's called gravity
OK the technique I'd cool of you to give up but bait and an actual fish being caught video would be more opt to think/ believing/ confident and more promising just a thought

I catch cats anchored up , bait flat in the bottom . Clearlake CA . lots of guys drift here now , but don't really do better . I like your vids !
