thank you for this study, I appreciate it. Really interesting how he constructs fills on his low notes so fluently... Playing this on my first ever 5 string jb is one hell of a challenge
Man! I just found your channel. You like to pick the most complicated and difficult pieces to play and you make them look like a walk in the park on Sunday morning. Awesome to watch, thanks.
Thanks for turning the bass up in the mix. Makes it easier to figure out what's being played. Sincerely, another bass player. I wish somebody would post an isolated drum track for this song if even just a programmed drum track.
Dude I love your choice for transcriptions and your sound is fantastic! Very inspiring. Cheers. Sharay is great and you really understand his amazing style.
Just looking your videos. You are doing a lot of great jobs. Truly respect, everythings perfect: your fingerpick, your tone - great, love it. You made my sunday. Greetings from bavaria
Thanks for all the time and effort. I did notice instead of some of the ghost notes at the beginning you're playing a muted slide. is that how he plays it?
Can you refer to an exact time/seconds? I heard it again and all the ghost notes in the beginning are definitley ghost notes. Sometimes they are followed by an hammer on which can sound like a slide.
@@RobertSchulenburg hey man, sorry to pick, I don't mean to as you've done an amazing job with this, and I am enjoying learning the bass line. An example is just after the first G in the first bar, before the hammer on. You do a little slide. Also on the way up to the top E from the lower octave in bar 6. You do a slide before hitting the top E. It could be just personal playing style and interpretation of the song, that's why I wanted to double-check. Thanks again for your time!
Kai
Nice playing and tone! Im closing to buying a new bbne2 for my first 5 string ( choosing among pre-owned fodera emperor 5 standard classic) as an versatile instrument. either i can't try in person. do you have any thoughts on bbne2 which can share with me, plz? both sides, good and bad. if do so it would be a huge help for me to have a mind preparation before i buy and got it. lol
Hey Ben. These are my thoughts: Despite the musical preferences i would rather consider a pre-owned instrument than a new one due to the price decrease... With a used fodera 5-String at a fair price you should get the same money back if you decide to let it go after some years of playing it. This wont be the case with a new bought bbne2. I sold my bbne2 recently for purchasing an alleva coppolo 5-string (Basically a luxury vintage orientated Jazz Bass) - I wanted to have 19mm string spacing (bbne2 18mm) because it suits my playing more (Slapping / Switching to 4-String Basses) - In my opinion the NE2 is more orientated to a mid rangy hifi sound, which could be great but i love the warm, deep bottomed and gnarly vibe of a Fender / Alleva Coppolo etc. 5-String. So if i should decide in your situation i really would check out the used fodera ... Or you just look out for a used NE2 and have the possibility to let it go without price loss after a while. Regards
Wow brother. That was pretty dame tight. Amazing you manage to pick out all the detail with the video footage recording sound. Great work
Thx mate!
