Thanks for sharing. Very intresting results. We learned the RBC is very good BUT its been ported... Which changes everything. Not every port job is the same. A good port job (blue printed, cfm and turbulence tested) isnt cheap either.
I think the porting of the rbc is what made the difference, who did the port work? Also super informative. I'd like to see the H22 euro r manifold vs the skunk2 pro series
Dammit th3 whole reason I watched this video is to see the graph comparison which is barely visible. Peak means squat a lot of times and there was definitely a diff between the two on the graph from what I could see
Thanks for the test. I've been wondering for awhile now if this manifold was worth it on a stock 2 liter with a set of cams....now I know, it's probably not. I have a stock 2 liter w/ DC 2.2 and a ported RRC so I'll probably just stick with it....thanks again for the test.
wasn't the rbc manifold ported also? if the rbc manifold was bone stock it would have been different results. honestly the skunk2 ultra was too big 4 that setup. 4 all we know a bone stock rbc manifold might have made just as much. what about the RRC type r manifold?do you think it would make more power then both those manifold? would be nice to find out, or is it overrated and not worth the extra coin
The RRC Mani is the best one. Is gets higher dyno numbers than even a ported RBC. Blueprint ported RBC = +5.3HP / +1.3TQ and RRC(stock) = +14.5HP / +8.6TQ. I have the RRC on my K20A Type R swap.
With the different intake sizes, is the power curve changed any? I see that it's the same power but is the way the power delivered through the rpm affected?
mattthon I don't have it but if you pause the video, The RBC is the blue line and the ultra is the red. When they put the RBC on it picked up mid range power.
The skunk2 unltra is a good manifold and it has itb's but the RBC wit a port job is better then a skunk2 ultra. U guys gotta remember that u port these manifolds and see numbers.
Would have been nice to see the actual Dyno graph line instead of just hearing the numbers👍🏾 numbers are one thing that Dyno graph line is the motors actual performance
Haha. Decent comparison. However, the Skunk2 is designed to have more meat for porting and if you do port the Skunk2, it makes more power everywhere in comparison to the RBC. The RBC can only be ported up to roughly 67mm where as the Skunk2 can be ported to 76.
Its already WAY too big lol, there is no point in porting a S2 ultra race w/spacer for this build.. Maybe if they used the S2 ultra "street'' instead, it would be more suited for a "stock CR" cammed k20
If this is a stock k20 with cams I'm surprised the bigger parts didn't straight up lose power. Stock motors don't always respond well to big upgrades. Maybe a better flowing head and more compression would be totally different. I also saw the larger spacer on the Mani I thought it was gonna straight lose when I saw that.
***** ok good. When I saw the parts I thought the smaller parts were gonna straight up kill the larger parts for a stock motor. Had no clue it would remain the same. The sk2 mani would leave him room to grow I guess.
In my opinion, the reason they picked up more horsepower with the 4-2-1 was because the motor was breathing too much had too much flow going through it with the 4-1
Don't know why everyone is running RBC, the RRC is better. Ported RBC = 5.3HP / 1.3TQ and RRC (stock) = +14.5HP / +8.6TQ. It's a bit more pricey but worth it I think.
i dont understand why everybody is so butt hurt over this? but to the owner of the car and TUNER.. what did you expect? skunk 2 will tell you the same thing.. that manifold is made for a BUILT engine.. high compression, high rpms and a engine that actually moves fucking AIR. not a stock block with cams. RBC is ported and will always make more power with a STOCK engine. ITBs will only give you the best results on stock applications.
This why this comparison was not so good the sk2 would do a lot better on a high comp motor that wants to rev to the moon for me my choice was simple with being able to run a run a bigger throttle body off the rip and just being able to clean it up a bit instead of cutting and porting if the rbc wasent ported there no comparison the pro series and the rbc flow about the same
I remember when modding these honda egs, crx, tegs, and acuras with high hp motor swaps were a thing, then I left highschool, in 2004 LOL, east coast so slow with the game
federalrj94 mistaken about what? the slow eastcoast catching up to old ass westcoast trends? or the fact that people still race tiny little hondas?> its 2015, retire the fucking EG, nobody needs to see over 10,000 EGs race 10,000 CRX's. Lets try using some NEW MODERN technology yea? you know, some car made in 2015?
robertha your trying make one side sound so much more advanced then the other but in reality it's exactly the same shit going on. Both coast races cars, trucks, bikes, boats you name it. Vehicles from all over are fast and slow. Has nothing to do with east coast vs west. Also Honda / acura sponsored race cars run a lot faster than they did when you were in high school. The technology has advanced and people are using it! That's why I said youre mistaken what's actually going on. Think of the ol timers who ran muscle back in their high school days. Still running the same kind of cars just using new technology!
Says the guy that still races ricers lmao but whatever helps you sleep at night princess and for the record, I'm almost certain the base model c6 is a lot better than what your at haha have a good day.
Junior Galvan LOL I knew you would say that, I was just setting you up for a trap. So yours is a just a base.......lmao no where compared to mines. Also my daily beater civic will totally smash your vette. Ricer lmao, then you must be one too...lol.
Ive noticed the only time the Skunk 2 Ultra really shines is on the K24 cars.
manifold skunk2 ultra with throttle 90mm,,,, manifold RBC with throttle size?
Thanks for sharing. Very intresting results.
We learned the RBC is very good BUT its been ported... Which changes everything. Not every port job is the same.
A good port job (blue printed, cfm and turbulence tested) isnt cheap either.
I think the porting of the rbc is what made the difference, who did the port work? Also super informative. I'd like to see the H22 euro r manifold vs the skunk2 pro series
My question is the Ultra Skunk2 ported thou?
What a joke
It’ll make a difference when your throw boost at it or have a serious engine cause you’re not using the skunk to it’s full potential
Not even. Even big turbo k24s barely pick up 20hp at over 800. You can get more from 0.2 more compression or 0.5* of timing
The best Intake mani ive seen tested was the type R's RRC . From the k20A , you guys should try that
Dammit th3 whole reason I watched this video is to see the graph comparison which is barely visible. Peak means squat a lot of times and there was definitely a diff between the two on the graph from what I could see
Nice swap man so what kind cams are you running I have and rsx and I will like to make about the same power is the motor stock besides cams
I'm going with the Skunk2 pro, I'm not interested in porting a RBC after all the cutting to make it fit. How much power does a ported Skunk2 make?
Do you by any chance have the graphs for both runs? I'd be interested in seeing what the curve looks like for both.
Correct because that is what will tell us what’s really better and what’s not not just hearing a number
Thanks for the test. I've been wondering for awhile now if this manifold was worth it on a stock 2 liter with a set of cams....now I know, it's probably not. I have a stock 2 liter w/ DC 2.2 and a ported RRC so I'll probably just stick with it....thanks again for the test.
yonkersracing come back to TH-cam land !!!!
bigger isnt always better.. said no female ever :D
Integra DIY >) lol
I had the pro series and I switched to the rbc I picked up more
Yo I thought the ultra series intake manifold ran better with a turbo engine?
All depends on your build on what manifold will work best
wasn't the rbc manifold ported also? if the rbc manifold was bone stock it would have been different results. honestly the skunk2 ultra was too big 4 that setup. 4 all we know a bone stock rbc manifold might have made just as much. what about the RRC type r manifold?do you think it would make more power then both those manifold? would be nice to find out, or is it overrated and not worth the extra coin

Mister McGill good question, they shoulda overlayed the graphs since they were doing this as a specific test
yonkersracing yes, there was a huge area under the curve difference, let me see if i can get the dyno sheet.
yellowgti sounds good, I just wanted to see if there is a difference in the curves, look forward to the video or pictures. Stay blessed.
We all would like to see the graphS
are they running open headers or megaphones
Were both manifolds tuned for, or jus slapped it on and tested?
mattthon I don't have it but if you pause the video, The RBC is the blue line and the ultra is the red. When they put the RBC on it picked up mid range power.
Did both manifold receive the same amount of tuning before the numbers were determined?
t\My thoughts exactly. If it's not tuned for the mods it won't reflect the potential power
So if using this manifold on the stock motor will it not hurt it in the long run?
The skunk2 unltra is a good manifold and it has itb's but the RBC wit a port job is better then a skunk2 ultra. U guys gotta remember that u port these manifolds and see numbers.
Ultra runs like 700$ or some shit , rbc is like 240$ brand new but how much is it to port it ?
what happened to the skunk hp rating with the new header?
Ummm mr.taiboogie? What's the name of the song u used for the back ground I like it
Lance Yamaguchi This is the beat in this link th-cam.com/video/a4H3nauiaUc/w-d-xo.html
can somebody tell how much whp you get from doing the headlight air duct??? anybody
LOSDUROSRG4L 0
Would have been nice to see the actual Dyno graph line instead of just hearing the numbers👍🏾 numbers are one thing that Dyno graph line is the motors actual performance
Would a retune of made any difference?
I think would win ultra without plenum..a bit big for 9000rpm or non turbo
Bigger manifolds don't mean anything if the head can't flow any more air.
Chris Segovia (Maniak) He tuned the car with no spacer on the ultra a month back and made the same power.
***** ok good. When I saw the parts I thought the smaller parts were gonna straight up kill the larger parts for a stock motor. Had no clue it would remain the same. The sk2 mani would leave him room to grow I guess.
i think that new skunk mani is better for boost , just my opinion
What size throttle body rbc used?
does pump93 contain 30% ethanol?
What about the RRC Honda manifold?
We need some more behind the scenes shit Tai. Come on with it!
Probably would have been different if they used a k24 i instead
Seen it. It was a whole 3hp. Non rbc intake swaps are stupid.
So would ITB increase the hp or would it still remain the same ?
In reality, these horsepower numbers might be the same but I can assure you the Dyno graph lines are not
Awesome video thx!
skunk2 ultra street would be better for that setup
So 4-2-1 header is better than 4-1 ? I thought 4-1 gave you better top end?
In my opinion, the reason they picked up more horsepower with the 4-2-1 was because the motor was breathing too much had too much flow going through it with the 4-1
With some big compression the skunk2 will really shine
Can you explain that?
is all about the right combination
Is the head actually port matched to the skunk 2 mani tho??? If not that's the problem
Mad scientists at work
Hey whats the name of the instrumental
kyser56 Turn Down the lights by Kalvin
1:49 having that like that I think isnt good, going to cause issues with flow when hes wot
Want to know if the RBC was ported?
yes it was
What happens to 4 bangers production
Zaine Butler Enjoying his life.
He Hasn't uploaded an video in a while now. Did something happen
Follow him on ig. Rhdkev i think is his name
I deleted my ig

Jimmy k24 eg from Charlotte was up
Nice vid!

Because RRC is not too easily available in some countries.
Yosolo ftw
i dont understand why everybody is so butt hurt over this? but to the owner of the car and TUNER.. what did you expect? skunk 2 will tell you the same thing.. that manifold is made for a BUILT engine.. high compression, high rpms and a engine that actually moves fucking AIR. not a stock block with cams. What's the song used for this video ?
TwelveDigit - East Coast Chill Hip Hop Rap Beat
Good video I enjoyed the results! The original beat is Prince "I Can't Make U Love Me"
What size TB?
Didn't u read the letters on the video???? 90mm
This why this comparison was not so good the sk2 would do a lot better on a high comp motor that wants to rev to the moon for me my choice was simple with being able to run a run a bigger throttle body off the rip and just being able to clean it up a bit instead of cutting and porting if the rbc wasent ported there no comparison the pro series and the rbc flow about the same
anyone know where to get ported rbc?
Shredder_hero656 ProCivic
ima canadian shipping it way tooooo expensive
Glad I saved money and didn't buy the skunk2 mani yet
These things are a waste of money. For the few times they really help...ITBs do it even better.
Stock with just stage IIs my rear end man
Everybody knows u not suppose to run an Sk2 ultra with spacers in N/A motor cause it will hurt power. This video is a joke.
EXTREME_rpm you can do it on an 88mm k24 or up. I think this motor was too small
Facts
dam you can get more out of an h22a built with just bolt ons
Thats too Big On n/a engine
Thumbs down for ignorance.
I remember when modding these honda egs, crx, tegs, and acuras with high hp motor swaps were a thing, then I left highschool, in 2004 LOL, east coast so slow with the game
You need to get out more and you'll realize how badly mistaken you are about your comment.
federalrj94 mistaken about what? the slow eastcoast catching up to old ass westcoast trends? or the fact that people still race tiny little hondas?> its 2015, retire the fucking EG, nobody needs to see over 10,000 EGs race 10,000 CRX's. I cant BELIEVE SKUNK2 IS still around, LOL, i remember when they sponsored teenage girls in highschool LOL
robertha Lmao
robertha your trying make one side sound so much more advanced then the other but in reality it's exactly the same shit going on. Both coast races cars, trucks, bikes, boats you name it.

hardly anything but honduhs on this channel *sighs*
Lol yeah I know it's depressing
A 2jz would easily put out more power 😂
A twin turbo lambo will put out more power..you see where this is going right -__-
a fighter jet can make more power than all of these 3 cars combined..-.-
rocket engine is the ultimate power..equivalent to 1,000,000,000 2jz combined all together
myth busted
People still race eg/Honda's lol
Lol, funny. Yeah we still do.... is that your base shit vette as your avatar.....lmao. Guess that's all what some people can afford nowadays.
Says the guy that still races ricers lmao but whatever helps you sleep at night princess and for the record, I'm almost certain the base model c6 is a lot better than what your at haha have a good day.
