You are very fortunate to have discovered and embraced the ideas and concepts so young that you outline in the video. Many come to such realisations much further down the road and by the then much metabolic damage has been done, much of it irreversible to some degree. But also for those of us who also discovered such things decades ago, we still succumb to bad habits and food choices during times of stress and this also very easily becomes a pattern that rears its head when similar stressful times occur from time to time. As the saying goes 'old habits die hard'. Processed sugar is bad news on so many fronts. Are you aware of AGEs 'accelerated glycation end products'? Well worth a look at if not, especially as it relates to ageing, skin health, eye health etc. It's a good thing to know to help keep you avoiding such sugars. Also, unless you already know it, it's worth looking at emerging information on sarcopenia and why it's so important to retain muscle as you age. Check out Peter Attia for some great info on this. Good job taking control of what you eat even as a student! When I was studying I couldn’t afford meat, but thankfully had access to a kitchen, so I learned to cook in order to know what I was putting in my mouth. Spot on analysis of choosing either the present pain of exercising or future pain/consequences. It took me a while to internalise that realisation and build a routine.
Thank you for the video I really needed it today. I hope that you are able to change many young peoples life and give them hope even in their darkest times. Keep up the good work💪🏽
