The Sky shadows are in the classic "koi fish in a pond" position, so I imagine they're fish of SOME kind.

Well, The Starbone won't be a weapon. But it's real life lore it's pretty wholesome and sad.
Tldr: One of the creators/helpers of LoR lost its dog and the rest of the team decided to make this card as a homage to all the passed doggos.
Aphelios: after hours of preparation; lining up the perfect shot to make a kill
Alune: haha funny bone
The starbone isn’t anything to do with the lore, it’s because one of the dev’s dogs died (the dog who the messenger was based on) hence the tribute in the card
send dog to aphelios so he can go and have some fun with the champions
Starbone is canon though, it's confirmed that all of the celestial animals can create weapons, but Elune chose those 5 because theyre the best ones.

The statue for Cresendum is probably a pair of fish, like our own Zodiac sign for the Twins.

StarBone is actually an attribute to one of the developers dead doggos so they may always have a bone in the stars.
I never click on somthing this fast as aphelios, cycling his weapons I m loving it on LoR time to main him on league too
Don't say that you're clicking it this fast when it took you a second to react and another second to click.
The world building that people put in this is staggering and I hope they keep pushing forward and make more great lore.

the starbone was just made as a tribute to one of the devs' dog who died during development of targon so i wouldnt take it as being at all really part of the lore
A card being made as a tribute doesn't mean it can't be part of the lore. Everything in LoR should be taken as cannon unless stated otherwise.

@@hello-gx6oi I mean, even the KDA stuff is theoretically cannon if we take parallel and multi universes in account. Since the KDA (and Pentakill/True Damage) universe are just a kinda parallel universe from the normal one

The statue you're confused by looks like two dolphins. The first one is sculpted going down, while the other is upright

The Crescendum statue is actually the 2 celestials intersecting together. One goes up and the other goes down

There's nothing better in the morning than one of Necrit lore videos and a cup of coffee.
Two things that we can glean from this batch of cards that Necrit didn't mention (possibly since these are still theories) is that these Lunar Celestials can explain exactly what happened to the Sunborn Ascended and the Darkin.
Firstly, the Darkin were Ascended who had their essence stripped from their bodies and shoved into living weapons, not unlike what Alune is doing to the Lunar Celestials (except in Alune's case, it's probably way more consensual, as the Lunar Celestials seem to be giving a portion of themselves to the moonstone weapons in order to help the twins and the Lunari). This could also explain how Myisha (Zoe's predecessor) thought of the idea to lock away the mad Ascended without destroying them outright (thus keeping them in check and preserving their "Aspects").
Secondly, there is now a solid explanation as to why the Ascended seem to be part animal, because during the Ascension process (standing under the Sun Disk and hoping not to get incinerated), the former mortal gets selected as a recipient of a Celestial's power, and so they pour some of themselves into the mortal being, turning them into a reflection of themselves, an Ascended (in much the same way Alune channels the power of the Lunar Celestials into the moonstone weapons, the Sun Disk would channel the powers of the Solar Celestials into mortal hosts).
But so far, these are just theories, but it is cool to consider.

I frickin love aphelios as a champ and as a lore character, the relationship between aphelios and alune is pretty interesting and mysterious. Didnt even think that aphelios would have weapons which represent some omnipotent beings in the runeterra. Anyways, I hope i get to see more info on aphelios and his sister(myb, the history of them?), but yea, great video Necrit, love ya

Necrit: so Crescendum comes out of this Lunari pond is symbolized with the fish celestials in it empowering the weapon. Each weapon is symbolized with an animal that corresponds to the celestial it draws power from, which are depicted in the Veiled Temple. Crescendum's statue on Alune's temple is also an elliptic shape and it's supposed to be the animal that corresponds to its celestial... hm I have no idea what it could be.

I also really want them to update him with the bone as a 6th weapon that would be truly melee. That would be hilarious. Imagine Aphelios' Q throwing the bone and having a celestial dog chase it and hit enemies or something like that.
