  • I think we can agree that if you offroad or overland at all, you need a compressor. Lowering and raising tire (tyre) pressures, remounting a tire that you slung off the rim, blowing some air on your fire to get it going strong, filling up a camp mattress---all good reasons to have a compressor in your kit.
But which one should you get? How much should your spend? Should you get one that you have to mount to the vehicle or will a portable one do the job just fine? Does it matter what brand? These are questions that each individual has to answer. In this video I throw an affordable, portable option (the Gobege) up against the biggest (and most expensive) brand in the business---ARB known for quality and dependability.
Check out my simple test and let me know what you think. How else should I test the Gobege?
Full disclosure: I received this compressor free to try out and review. I received no money and made it clear that I would be giving my honest, humble opinion.

I'm glad you change the air in your tires! That's important!

Exactly! And I like the smell as it comes out of the tires. A good vintage has about 20k miles on it.

I do enjoy draining my K02s as I sit on a sandy beach sunset also.

Fantastic episode, so true, 4 minutes is nothing. The big thing is cost and reliability/serviceability and portability.
Well done on your thought pattern.
100% right that at the end of the day you can't inflate your tyres without a compressor.

Righteo. You need one period. The only advice I have is that the $15 deals from Walmart don’t always have the guts to inflate a single tire. Something a little stronger is needed.

I personally don't understand the speed argument that so many people make for the high dollar compressors. I'm not in a rally, I'm out in the woods to relax. To each his own though. Thanks for sharing!

I agree with you 100%. Only when I’m going to be late getting home because I “got lost” again, would the extra 4 minutes matter to me. 😂
