My old post mentioned I was going to buy one of these and yes I did purchase the Ninja Foodi Steam Crisp 15-1, I LOVE IT. So today, I needed to refresh myself on how to cook rice, punched my query into TH-cams, voila my favorite vlogger came up Pressure Crisp and it was Lisa to Rescue! I can't believe I had never heard of Ninja until I treated myself to two decent frying pans last year! Even then I didn't know about these wonderful devices. Bought myself the SmartLid 650. No thermometer in this model but it is wonderful. Had it 5 days and made rice pudding, roasted chicken meal and bread. First rate. My 14 year old grandson said when he saw it, "what on earth is that!" (I have cleaned up his language!!😂😂 I live in the UK.

Hi Loretta, Thanks for the info-will pick up a box mix well maybe a couple to experiment with and brownies too.
Loretta-mine sat in the box for 2 months well I was sick one of those but I was just not really excited about another Foods-being completely honest but then when I used the steam crisp for the first time-I was hooked-lol. And the first time for rice-I was just experimenting and low and behold it did it all itself-lol.
And the learning curve-I must be getting old lol. Just gotta jump right in and do it-only way for me now. :).

That is correct, the pressure cook release options are only available on the 8-quart, as well as the thermometer. This is unfortunate and to some degree frustrating since several of the listed recipes call for such variations which are simply not there. Other than that, it is a very helpful kitchen aid and relatively simply to use.
