My biggest mistake is sometimes using the wrong sized brush. At first when I started I felt like using a small brush made me have more control over what I was painting, but then my paintings started to become rough as i had to use more brush strokes. Also, a tip that I learned about masking fluid : it's best to only apply it to small areas (such as highlights) and not to cover a large area as it come sometimes be very hard to remove.
@@InkByt3 thank you!I did picture it differently in my head, but I suppose that’s something we all have. I will test the masking fluid on the paper first the next time I use it;)
Thanks! I guess it just didn’t come out the way I pictured it in my head, but to be fair:it never comes out like that anyway😋. No such thing as perfect indeed!
The expression paper is good, though a soft paper so likely to rip with certain masking fluid. However, the only masking fluid I use iswinsor and newton removable one and never had any issues on any papers.
Well you win some you lose some, I guess! Probably shouldn’t have used the masking fluid or do my research first😅. Any mistakes you want to share?;)

Beautiful illustration by the way, though you seem to call it not how you wanted to turn out! Well, we all have ups and downs you know ;)
@@InkByt3Good explanation about thinking you’ll have more control with a small brush, only to find out that it works against you! Very relatable.

I still think the illustration is beautiful despite the issues. Nothing is ever perfect anyway. ❤

Maybe I’ll try the winsor and newton one sometimes! But then I will practice a little bit more before trying something bigger;)
