- the new BeamNG update 0.31 came out and outmode-ed my t-series mods, so I thought I'd at least make this one

This wheel layout is called a "Chinese six" it was extremely popular in Britain in the 1970's and Japan for a short while. Do not be mistaken, it has nothing to do with China

Those little metal lines on the side of the new engine model are part of the Hydraulically actuated Electronic unit Injection or HEUI system. It essentially uses the high pressure oil output from the oil pump to actuate the fuel injectors.
Looks like a normal mechanical pump to me
oh I always thought those fuel distributors were just to build the pressure of the fuel to overcome the high compression the engine is at the top of the stroke

@fillman86 How injection pumps usually work is kinda like a distributor but for fuel. They use a camshaft in the pump that pushes on a plunger to pressurize the fuel and fire the injector. Now a big engine like that would probably have had unit injectors that are pushed on by a lobe on the camshaft but it's the same principle.

The "cab over" all be it is more common in Europe, was a thing in America when it had the same rules as Europe, those rules have since been changed.
well cabovers are better where there are tight turns, but less good for comfort when cruising for long periods, so they both have their uses
When I saw the update come out I was like, man this is gonna break so many mods. Heck even the ram plow on the Wentward DT40L is broken.
Stretch the Moonhawk body to a limo and put it on top of this, add a bunch of spikes, and you have a Mad Max car

1:16 just a small reminder that, to get to higher speed with the semi's manual transmission, you have to put it on Overdrive mode. You are using the low gear rn.
Just switch that lil button and you can reach up to almost 200km/h, which is still not fast, but its better.

There is only 5 gears, but the low range or "direct" puts the gear ratios inbetween the overdrive gears. The total amount of possible gear ratios gives you 10 gears.

Yes, beamng is a crazy game that has crazy potential but it is a type of game that needs years and years and years of development cuz of how conplicated it actually is
My man, beamng has been in development for the last 14 years, if a game was in development that long from any other franchise people would riot about it and the game would be a mess
and I think their current devs don't have the required skills to actually execute their vision, so it takes quite a while for them to learn how to do it

I think it would be really cool to have a cab on the front over the wheels, so you can drive a truck with two sets of front and two sets of rear wheels
Would love to see you attach a second V12 to the front of it with all that newfound front frame space, then make it a twin engine v24 single cab semi with super single rear tires. Just give it a ridiculously long Hood to fit over everything
the way the manual gearbox works in the t series is pretty complicated for beaming, but here's the shift list:
start in low range, 1st gear
shift to high range, still in 1st
shift to low, to second gear
shift to high, still in second,
shift to low, third gear
etc. etc.
If you look under "rear suspension" there is a single axle option for all frame types including long upfit

in Operation Plumbbob (a series of nuclear tests) a manhole was absolutely just fucking chucked into the air (almost as fast as Chuck Noris) which in turn means that from the little moisture that was on the manhole cover in the Nevadan Desert had to of turned into steam therefore the fastest that steam has ever travelled is between Mach 100 to Mach 600
Edit: I did some rough calculations and the manhole was going 3x earths escape velocity meaning it went almost exactly Mach 100
I have no idea what this has to do with beamng but it’s interesting anyway
I'd heard of this too, but it turns out that its speed was a myth, and believed that it never left the atmosphere :(
@@fillman86 there is photographic evidence that it went Mach 100 and that evidence is from the ultra high speed camera that takes a photo every millisecond and in one frame it was on the ground and on another it was about 1-0.5m (

I haven't narrowed down what exactly makes the difference, but with just stock parts, you can get a setup that is even a little drifty
So little explanation behind the new gearbox, 5th high is actually 10th gear. You have to shift the range in order to drive it right. You’re supposed to shift it like this 1L, 1H, 2L, 2H, 3L, 3H, 4L, 4H, 5L, 5H. They’re nicknamed the super 10 in real life. You also have to let out of the accelerator in real life in order for the transmission to shift into high gear. I find it really odd they didn’t just put in a traditional 10 speed but I figure they thought most people would really be confused having to move all the way back to 1st when shifting into the high range.
it will be excellent option to put a cab on it but it looks like , Mitsubishi Fuso Truck two front axle
there's many trucks with 2 front axles, but I don't think I'd be able to model the body in a reasonable amount of time, so I personally won't be doing that
the t series also has a compression brake now which is much less likely to lock the tires up.
my problem is that I kept spawning in the truck and then I'd forget to re-put on the brakes

Fun fact: the "Stretched" config is not even as large as it gets. Thats only the medium size rear frame, theres a longer rear frame you can use

the stock t-series is plenty fast, youre just just using it wrong. you gotta skip gears. my favorite is 7th gear redline clutch dumps. the spinning rear wheels sorts act like a torque converter.
this thing needs a big old school race car body like Brutus or Lenos tank car
You (or anyone really) should do an extended conventional hood for the extra wheels, but also some sort of weird hybrid of a conventional and non conventional hood for the flat nose and see what that looks like.

you can just put lifted suspension on the middle front axle, but it's not perfect

You can have a single wheel on any of the frame options just take put the front boggie and add the long drive shaft or just take off the rear boggie and not worry about the driveshaft. Also why did you out the 450 turbo on it put the t600 turbo and it'll spin wheels even the vanilla truck will spin wheels with the t600

@@fillman86 I'm pretty sure the exhaust gas spins around the Turbine and out the turbo while the intake goes through the Turbine like how you had the exhaust. Could be wrong.

What if you did two motors? I like fuckin around with sketchup. Don’t know how to make it realistic or anything but it looks good. I made a couple semis wit two front straight six’s side by side mounted to a splitter similar to a tractor pulling setup witch then goes to another monster truck style Dropbox with then goes to the trans. It’s too wide to fit in the frame rails so the motors sit on top and then the Dropbox goes down so that the trans can fit under the cab. Just a thought lol. I could send all my models to you if you’d like. I just don’t have the skills or patience to implement them into blender or beam…
I also made a similar version where the motors are behind the cab with a side by side on the frame rails with the tractor pull splitter but that goes straight to the trans and then the drop box. By doing this I can place the rear axle under the trans and then flip the rear end so that the Dropbox has a driveshaft coming directly off of it that goes backwards towards to front of the vehicle to bolt up to the rear axle. By doing this you can shorten up the wheelbase of the truck. Or you leave it extended wheelbase and have the drive shaft come off the Dropbox and go straight to the forward facing axle. I can also send this model to you
beamng doesn't allow 2 motors with gearboxes natively, and 2 engines can't go into a single gearbox either

@@fillman86 what if you made the 2nd engine almost a prop or somehow moved while adding he same weight to keep realism and then just double the power of the first motor. Also if to further see what I was talking about with the splitter lookup plow boy diesel twin cummins. Pretty damn cool setup

Well, it's got one 5 speed, one 5 speed with reduction gears, and two 12 speed gearboxes for me (a manual and a DCT)
The 5 speed manual has a high/low gearbox.
